Programs: Advocacy for provider members with regard to rate setting, programmatic requirements, systemic changes, etc. With lawmakers and policymakers as required.
research and share news affecting 84 members and their estimated 15,000 clients which allows the providers organizations to stay current with the new laws, court decisions, business practices and regulations, new contractual requirements, reimbursement rate changes, criminal background check laws, and medicaid regulations and funding. Communication usually in the form of e-mail updates to members are sent an average of once per week. Members meet at least once per month, with the exception of july and december. Most sub-committee meetings are held monthly. The group also holds an annual conference in the fall which is open to members and interested parties in the community. The conference presents and discusses current issues relevant to the industry.
