Causes: Centers to Support the Independence of Specific Populations, Human Services
Mission: The aacc is a non-partisan, non-sectarian, non-profit organization dedicated to provide services that meet the communitys economical, social, and cultural needs. We strive to empower arab americans to become healthier, stronger, confident, engaged, and integrated.
Programs: Employment services: aacc have assissted community memebers in registering with local agencys state database system. We assisted them with one-on-one resume writing and job search. Health services:aacc has helped with referrals to free low income services in central florida,community health fairs held quarterly in partnership with florida hospital and other healthcare providers,educational workshops focusing on diabetes care, nutrition and lifestyle issues, and breast cancer awareness held throughout the year. Health services: aacc were able to conduct the health service fair which attracted over 150 diverse individuals who received free screening for cholesterol, blood pressure, bmi. The aacc conducted a sign-up drive for the new health care act. Immigration services: aacc has provided assistance in the area of immigration by helping new immigrants to file their petitions and providing them the legal advice.
