Mission: To provide qualified internists with a professional organization that can unite these internists within alabama for the coordination of their efforts in furthering the practice of internal medicine; study the different aspects of medicine to secure and maintain the best patient care and high standard of internal medicine practice; to complement and supplement the aims and activities of the american college of physicians-american society of internal medicine; and keep abreast of technological and public policy developments in the areas of medical practice, health care and the organization and delivery of health services.
Programs: The organization engages in research of the scientific, social, economic and political aspects of medicine in order to secure and maintain the best patient care on behalf of its members
