Causes: Arts & Culture, Dance
Mission: Our mission is to create unique dance performances with the highest standards, and inspire people of all ages to both experiences and enjoy the beauty of classical ballet
Results: We are embodying our mission by producing two shows of extraordinary quality each year: Simply Classic and The Nutcracker for the joy of the communities of Illinois. These two productions allowed us to integrate our work with other talents, and invite international professional dancers to perform in conjunction with the best students from our dance school. Alma Dance Theater will be presenting our 3rd annual Simply Classic Series at the McAninch Arts Center (MAC) in Glen Ellyn. This production includes excerpts from Majisimo, Peasant Pas de Quatre from Giselle and a Suite of Le Corsaire and will feature internationally renowned guest artists including Amaya Rodriguez, Humberto Rivera Blanco, and Javier Omar Morales Barrios, former principal dancers with the Cuban National Ballet and currently dancing with the Kansas City Ballet. Dayneliz Muñoz, former Cuban principal dancer and Tulsa Ballet, and Jose Lozada, former Cuban principal dancer. Lastly, we are fortunate to have Elivelton Tomazi currently dancing with Joffrey Ballet of Chicago. Students from the prestigious Alma Ballet Dance School and Dupage Children Museum will make appearances in the production and share the stage with professionals. This magical production will appeal to all who appreciate the arts, from the ballet enthusiast to the novice dancer. Enjoy an evening of culture and beauty at the MAC

The things that make classical ballet one of the most enjoyed and revered art forms of all time. Chicago will be able to call itself home to a brand new ballet company - The Alma Dance Theater. With a fresh new outlook, The Alma Dance Theater, will bring the grand classical ballets of Europe and the world to the stages of Chicago and Suburbs.
Programs: Alma dance theater nfp is a non-profit organization that offers a comprehensive dace curriculum to students ages four and up to promote the art of ballet.
