Mission: The African American Visual Arts Association was established to promote the legacy of art and culture in disadvantaged communities. AAVA promotes a youth development initiative to divert youth from gang activity, drugs, and the juvenile criminal justice system. These programs enable today's youth to work with professional artist, art educators, and marketers, who are committed t excellence, change and positive development. Our youth program challenges the minds and hearts of young people who would otherwise waste precious talent and energy in destructive outlets.
