Causes: Community Coalitions
Mission: The purpose of 3e mckinney is to engage and coordinate externally focused churches into channeling their resources (funds, time and people) into the community in order to bring honor to god, hope to the impoverished, and make a positive impact on the community.
Programs: Adopt a school 11 churches have adopted all 9 title 1 schools in mckinney. 3e supplies mentors, tutors and volunteers to help in each school. We coordinate the program food 4 kid to supply backpacks, which fed around 850 students each weekend. We also coordinate christmas angels for more than 2400 mckinney isd students. Many expenditures are directly from the partner churches.
run for cover is a one day 3e mckinney 1, 5 & 10k walk/run to raise money for the samaritan inn (collin county's only homeless shelter). All gross proceeds from the event go to the samaritan inn, family promise, shiloh place and operation of the 3e mckinney express (transportation for homeless and elderly).
clothe a child provides new clothing to low income students enrolled in the 9 title one elementary schools and 1 early education center. The program is provided in collaboration with mckinney independent schoold district, city of mckinney and partner churches.
