An amazing non-profit that has a personal connection to all new members and is easy to approach for support.

Our family has been so blessed by this organization. When our son was first diagnosed, we felt so isolated and scared. This group was a wonderful way to connect with other families and find support. The staff are so kind and helpful and they are just amazing people. They genuinely care and want to help the entire family. Thank you so much for all that you do CCC!

Our family was immediately welcomed with a personal phone call sharing support and stories at a time when we were feeling overwhelmed with medical information and shock. Just knowing others shared our journey helped us not feel alone. Our treatment plan hasn't allowed us to get involved, but we know we have options and others for advice.

The Childhood Cancer Community is an exceptional nonprofit organization that generously supports children with all types of cancer and their parents. Monthly dinners and fun events are held throughout the year for the children and families to enjoy and forget about cancer. Group discussions are held with parents to discuss their concerns and fears of their child's cancer. This is a very special organization where childhood cancer families can belong and get to know families who have been on the same journey. Lifetime bonds between families are created quickly because of the Childhood cancer.

When our daughter was diagnosed with leukemia the founders of CCC reached out to our family to offer their support. Everyone at CCC has been genuine and caring, providing support and compassion to our family along the way through this journey we never thought we would be apart of. We are so thankful for their gratitude and events to help support us along the way.

CCC has been a life line for our family - we joined after the worst of it: back surgery, weekly chemo for our 2.5 year old’s spinal tumor, hospitalization for sepsis from port infections…. Our only regret is not joining sooner when they first reached out. We will forever be indebted to their generosity and care. We hope to give back by volunteering and donating to CCC for many years to come.

My church group has served meals and made gift bags for this organization many times. They are always professional to work with and the stories of the families are inspirational. We appreciate the opportunity to help!

Our family has made some incredible friends and found support on our hardest days through CCC.

CCC provides incredible support, resources, and networking opportunities for families facing childhood cancer. It's humbling to see how many families attend the monthly meetings and special events--especially those who travel from out of town! I've been impressed by how many groups in the community have partnered with CCC to serve meals, fundraise, and provide other wonderful donations for the families. It's been a privilege to be part of this non-profit as a volunteer and the leadership team has always been thoughtful and appreciative of the volunteer team. They are genuine in the care they show for the children and families during their childhood cancer journeys and it's a wonderful group of people to be a part of.

As a parent served by Childhood Cancer Community, I cannot say enough great things. From the moment we first connected with them, they have be so loving, caring, and welcoming. This group is a place that any family dealing with childhood cancer will find the support they need. And knowledgeable...if they don't immediately know the answer to the question you have, they will take the time to find the answer. Our family is so happy we have found this wonderful organization.

My son (2) was diagnosed with retinoblastoma the day after thanksgiving and life had never felt so confusing and so beyond lonely. I had no idea what to expect how to process things etc, our social worker at Mayo told us about CCC and i immediately reached out to join. Within a few days of being added to the group another retinoblastoma mom reached out to me and it has been so beneficial being in contact with not only another mom whose son had the same cancer but other families going through what we have.

I am a nurse who cares for many of the children that are positively affected by this nonprofit. The community, support, and overall uplifting spirit is truly unmatched.

They’re an amazing, selfless community that does so much for those families that are living their worst nightmare. They understand and step up to help easy any bit they can. Always so thankful for CCC!

This ''nonprofit' cherry-picks the families they choose to help and have been known to blacklist other members of the childhood cancer community. They have had a negative impact on a number of families who are already stressed with one of the most difficult journeys a family can travel.

Excellent community based organization helping families dealing with various cancer diagnoses.

Childhood Cancer Community has been a fantastic organization to work with and has been a great support and resource for our family. We've attended serval events that they have hosted, and everyone was so kind and supportive. The events are fun for our kids and it is nice to meet and visit with other parents who are going through similar trials. They have been a great resource for finding out about opportunities available to our son who has ALL.

"Your child has cancer," No one ever expects to hear. We were at the best place possible, having a great team of doctors. CCC was great to have other parents going through similar experiences to talk to. Shanna and Sherrie coming to the hospital after our sons surgery, sharing their story, gave us hope and the light we needed. We wish we lived closer, now that our son is 10 years cancer free. We looked forward to the times we could make it to the monthly meetings and dinners to be around other families going through similar things.

My son is a cancer survivor and we appreciate the support CCC provides, including connecting us to other families impacted by cancer.

There is nothing to prepare you for hearing the words, "Your child has cancer". That was a day that will be ingrained in my mind forever, as it is with all parents who have went through this. We had a wonderful team of doctors who had come up with a plan to make my son cancer free. While all of those plans are great, there was a lot of questions that the doctors could not answer for us as parents. We were referred to a support group founded and run by a childhood cancer survivor and her mother. We were instantly taken in by the group and offered so much support and help. We attended meetings when we could and met many parents who had gone through the same story as ours. While the doctors did a wonderful job treating my son physically, the Childhood Cancer Community group helped us emotionally in ways that are hard to put into words. The biggest thing I took away from our experience is, you are not alone. No one should ever need to go through this journey alone. Childhood Cancer Community makes sure that you never need to.

CCC has been a part of our family for many years now. They helped us through some tough times when our daughter was going through cancer treatment. The community of other cancer families helps us feel like we aren't alone. They truly are the best and we are forever grateful for them!

This charity has provided a wonderful community of those with like experiences in battling cancer plus some really fun, family friendly activities along our journey. Thank you!

My daughter always enjoys CCC events, wish we lived closer to attend more events

5 years ago our son was diagnosed with leukemia. I remember feeling so scared, overwhelmed and helpless. Childhood Cancer Community gave us a place to hear stories of hope, a place to get real life questions answered and a place to cry with other families who just get it. The family gatherings became the highlight of our month. We got to come as a family for a delicious dinner and then know that our kids were being highly entertained by amazing volunteers while the parents were able to share concerns and progress about their child’s cancer treatment as well as be there for other families on their journeys. We are forever grateful for the friendships we have made through this group!

The Childhood Cancer Community organization is an amazing organization. They treat everyone like family and are so helpful, kind, and extremely supportive. They provide monthly gatherings, that include fantastic activities, education, a meal, and time to visit with other families going through the same issues that you are. This is a time to get away from your daily troubles and be with others in a safe and fun environment. I cannot say enough great things about this organization.

Childhood Cancer Community is a welcoming space for families to be met with open arms during a vulnerable and scary time in their lives. CCC is made of people who have walked childhood cancer journeys, and therefore can support one another through new diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and bereavement. CCC does everything to the highest standard because they care and value the families they serve. CCC is a fantastic and needed nonprofit.

Being among others who understand the unique challenges of pediatric cancer has been incredibly comforting and empowering. The dinner gatherings have been particularly beneficial, allowing us to connect with fellow parents who are walking a similar path. Sharing our journeys and hearing the stories of others has reinforced our resolve to keep fighting. It's a powerful reminder that we are not alone and that there is a network of caring people ready to offer help whenever it's needed. We are deeply grateful to Shanna, Sherrie, Jack, Ray, and all the volunteers for their unwavering support and constant presence in our lives during this challenging journey.

CCC reached out to us when my son was in the hospital for brain cancer. They were supportive and encouraging and connected us with other families who had been in our shoes, resources and information. When his cancer came back recently, they reached out again and have been so caring. Their outreach is to the whole family, and they have impacted not just myself and my son, but all of my children, my parents and in-laws. We feel incredibly blessed to be a part of this group.

My daughter has had Lymphoma twice, and we are currently monitoring 3 spots in her abdomen. The Childhood Cancer Community is the support that understands what you're going through and loves you and your family indefinitely. It's often hard to hold your head up going through the hard stuff, and they care and understand. I recommend any parent or young adult share your story, you won't regret it!

Wonderful support for families dealing with childhood cancer. They offer a truly caring, compassionate, family environment and so many opportunities for sharing, and fun activities that spark hope into lives dealing with the weight of cancer.

CCC is THE BEST support group for families affected by childhood cancer. Many of us wouldn't have made it through the darkest parts of our journey without this support. We love the Deckers!

Childhood Cancer Community is so welcoming, educational, and uplifting. My family felt very comfortable and safe at their group meetings. We travel 2 hours to be a part of this group because it is so helpful and they also help create positive core family memories with their activities.

As the parents of a child who has survived cancer, we know first-hand all of the different emotions that accompany this diagnosis. Every event that CCC organizes is so carefully thought out and planned down to the detail to make it an extra special night for all families. What can I say- This is a group that you never want to belong to but if you do, they go well beyond to make everyone feel welcome in their walk of life. Some of us join in the beginning, some in the middle, and some at the end of treatment, depending on when you need to reach out for help. We joined in the middle and it was the best decision we could have made. Everyone has been so supportive and we've met several families with the same type of tumor. It's so great to be able to talk to someone else that knows exactly what you are or have gone through and to share information, advice, resources, or just lend an ear when needed. In this group, we celebrate milestones together, we share the good & bad, and everyone truly cares about one another. Definitely a deserving group.

This group is a wonderful resource for families battling cancer. They provide resources to families such as places where they can get financial assistance, etc. during their cancer battle. They host fun events that help take your mind off of your situation and they are inclusive of the whole family. They are getting ready to start bereavement sessions, to help families that have lost their children to this horrible disease.

This is an amazing group that provides hope, strength and support for the whole family facing childhood cancer. Everyone there has been touched by their own child having cancer. It’s a special group that truly understands and care.
