My son (2) was diagnosed with retinoblastoma the day after thanksgiving and life had never felt so confusing and so beyond lonely. I had no idea what to expect how to process things etc, our social worker at Mayo told us about CCC and i immediately reached out to join. Within a few days of being added to the group another retinoblastoma mom reached out to me and it has been so beneficial being in contact with not only another mom whose son had the same cancer but other families going through what we have.
