Volunteering Oportunities

Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Military & Veterans Organizations, Veterans

Mission: How We Give Back The Fallen Angel Aviator Foundation is a 100% volunteer non profit focused on helping soldier and family. We are a local charity based out of Colorado and we rely on our dedicated men and women who give back their time and skills to ensure our cause provides the most impact to our Fallen Heroes Families. With over 100 volunteers who are mostly in the aviation industry, as well as our corporate sponsors we have made a positive impact in supporting those children, spouses and families left behind due to the loss of their military service member. We identify the gaps in traditional benefits to better support those who have lost so much. One of the projects involved erecting a memorial to honor those airmen who lost their lives on August. 6, 2011, in Wardak province, Afghanistan from the 11th Aviation Command.

Fallen Angel Aviator Foundation is a fantastically well put together organization that focuses on the veteran community. They are a great bunch to work with, professional, courteous and most importantly, in touch with the needs of the veteran community they aim to serve. A real pleasure to work with.

On December 1, 2014 Capt. Will "Pyro" DuBois was killed in a plane crash on a mission against ISIS in Jordon. He was a badass pilot, and a first class human being. He was from New Castle, Co. A few of us that were close to him, wanted to do something to honor our local HERO. We decided we wanted a 8 ft. Bronze statue of Pyro. We need to raise $100,000. The Town of New Castle helped get the fund started with a nice donation and a spot at one of the local parks where the statue will rest after it dedication on Sept. 10, 2016. We reached out to The Fallen Angel Aviator Foundation for not only a donation, but some help with social media for our fundraising. They far exceeded on both. They have put it on their facebook page, matching donations, they are going to send out press releases, just to mention a few. They have plans for a concert in the fall in Boulder, Co. with the proceeds helping our cause. When their home page on their website says they are there to help the Fallen Angel Aviators, they mean it. It is great to see them not only make a donation, but provide ways to help us achieve our goals. 1st Class Organization. Thanks George for you and all you have done!! www.pyromemorial.org Thanks, John Lee Board Member Pyro Memorial Fund

The Fallen Angel Aviator Foundation is an exceptional organization true to their mission of serving Fallen Aviators, Air Crew Members, Fallen Comrades and their Families. In 2016, Fallen Angel Aviator Foundation graciously donated 100 percent of the funding required to send the surviving Gold Star Children of Fallen Aviators to Gold Star Teen Adventures Foundation programs. Their grant will be used to provide opportunities for the children of Fallen Heroes Chief Warrant Officer 3 Thomas Gibbons, Master Sergeant James Ponder III, Captain Bartt Owens, and Specialist Travis Vaughn. Thank you for your commitment to our Nation’s Warriors and their Families.

The Fallen Angel Aviator Foundation is a recognized non-profit 501 (c) (3), association of former and current military Aviators, Veterans from all services and friends of the military. The Fallen Angel Aviator Foundation is dedicated to serving our country’s Fallen Aviators, Air Crew Members, Fallen Comrades and their Families. Membership in our foundation is voluntary and allows for our organization to honor Aviators and Air Crew Members who gave their lives in the service of our country. The formation was made possible through a grant from the BOE Foundation, Boulder, Colorado. Mr. George Boedecker and his generous contribution exceeded the sum total of all donations made previously to construct the 11thAviation Command Memorial Project. Mr. Boedecker and his unwavering support to our nation, our military service members and military families reflect great credit upon him and the Boedecker Foundation.
