If I was able to write a six volume novel about the amazing people and experiences at Domino Service dogs, I’d be as renowned as the likes of Mark Twain and Jane Austen. After my surprise diagnosis of epilepsy in my early 20s, I was a little taken aback on how to proceed with an independent life. Then, I found domino service dogs. They were able to help me regain my confidence in my ability to live my life to the fullest. Barbara is about the nicest human possible, which is why I understand her desire to work with dogs! I worked with Randy as my dog’s trainer. I’m not sure if he’s truly human, because he has superpowers with dogs and a level of kindness which I previously did not know existed within the human species. My 200 pound Great Dane is now a literal life saver, all thanks to Domino and Randy. The Domino Service Dogs team is truly nothing short of amazing. I’d be lost without them; but with them, I’m my normal self. I’ll always be grateful for the entire Domino family. I give my sincerest thank you.
My service dog in training and myself are now in year two of training at Domino Service Dogs. 5 years ago my life was greatly altered from a car accident leaving me with disabilities. I struggled to even leave my home, drive to the grocery store and needed assistance from family. I truly felt isolated, and was loosing hope of ever being independent again. Not to mention on how I was going to raise my children(single parent) with all my new challenges. Everyday was a struggle.
Now, I am working toward being fully independent. I have returned to college this year to finish my Bachelors, and run my own small business part time. I am able to travel in the metro area, attend to my children, and am able to enjoy life again! I truly am grateful to DSD in helping me rebuild my life with my 4 legged companion. My heart is full of gratitude for the trainers, volunteers, the other sdit teams, and all that support DSD. DSD has become an extended supportive family. They have truly positively impacted my life, and I am forever grateful!
Working with Domino Service Dogs has truly been a life-changing experience, especially in training my rescue dog, Lyric. From the start, it was clear that their approach is unique – it’s not just about teaching commands but about building a deep, trusting connection between you and your dog. The trainers, Barbara, Randy, and Tanya, take the time to really understand your specific needs and the tasks your dog will need to perform to support you in daily life.
For me, Lyric has already become so much more than just a service dog. She’s both my emotional anchor and physical support, and I owe a lot of that to Domino’s patient, positive reinforcement techniques. Lyric has learned essential commands like sit, come, and stay, and she walks close to my wheelchair without wandering. When we’re in public, she knows to “crash” and stay beside my chair, and she doesn’t get distracted by all the sights and smells around her. She’s also incredibly in tune with my emotions, offering comfort exactly when I need it.
One of the thoughtful touches from Domino Service Dogs is the customized leash they provided, specifically designed for those of us who use wheelchairs. It has elastic built into it, which gives a bit of flexibility as we move, but it’s loose enough that it doesn’t choke Lyric while walking. We tried it out today, and it’s working beautifully – Lyric is staying right beside me as we move, and the leash gives us both comfort and freedom.
Even though we’re only halfway through training and still have a long way to go, the progress we’ve made so far has been remarkable. The team at Domino is incredibly supportive and flexible, always adjusting the training to match Lyric’s pace and my personal needs. They don’t just teach obedience; they nurture a true partnership between handler and service dog.
Thanks to Domino’s expertise and care, Lyric has already become an invaluable part of my independence. I know we still have more work ahead, but I’m confident in the journey we’re on. If you’re looking for a service dog organization that truly understands the unique bond between a handler and their dog, I can’t recommend Domino Service Dogs highly enough. Their training has brought out the best in Lyric, and I’m beyond grateful.
I am working with Domino now and they have been nothing but amazing! Training is work but DSD makes each class geared toward the participant’s skills and progress.
Domino is helping us train our puppy to become my wife's service dog. They are amazing and such a caring and knowledgeable group of trainers.
I have volunteered for and worked with Domino and I think they are a treasure for our community! They care about their clients and the success of their service dog teams. And they are thorough in training, including personalizing lessons and homework for each dog handler team. Owner trainer service dog programs are rare in the United States, and due to the costs and level of training needed for successful teams I’m really thankful we have Domino Service Dogs in Colorado!
Domino Service Dogs, Barbara and her staff are awesome!!! The breadth and degree of their knowledge and skills are impressive. They help an incredible number of people train service dogs, which are in very short supply, vastly needed and there is huge demand for. They are to be heartily commended for their fine work.

My son and his dog have worked with Domino Service Dogs for two years. It's amazing training, helping dogs and handlers learn the ins and outs of being in public with a dog, and helping with task training.
I have been working with Domino Service Dogs to train my own service dog for over a year. I have been supported in so many ways in training Major, and I am so happy I chose DSD. I know they care about the success of me and my dog as a team. Domino Service Dogs is easy to work with and I love interacting with other members of the community.

Domino Service Dogs has been an invaluable connection for my family to the disability community. As a parent of a child with autism and a person with a disability myself, I have always felt welcomed and understood, and so has my son. This is a huge deal for us. Working with DSD is one of the best decisions we could have possibly made to help our family. We now have not only a service dog and amazing canine friend, but human connections in the community that share our experiences. In a world where people with disabilities are often excluded or only nominally welcomed, DSD is an organization run by people with disabilities and made for people with disabilities.
They are a great organization with wonderful leadership! They have been around going on 11 years and are committed to their clients success. They change peoples lives every day!
Dominio Service Dogs has been a pleasure to work with, they care a lot about their mission and helping their clients! 10/10 would recommend.
My grandson's Domino Dog has been a Godsend. The dog is extremely well trained and has given my grndson the freedom to be independent and feel secure in many different environments. Domino Dogs has helped my grandson to gain more freedom and independence than we thought was possible. Thank you Domino Dogs.
Domino Service Dogs is a fantastic place to train a service dog, and also a place to find community for those of us with disabilities. My family has spent many hours with DSD over the last three years, and we’ve been welcomed without judgment.
Dominoes has been a huge blessing for me. They have been such a huge support through out my short time with them. I unfortunately had to part ways due to Mavis being injured by her vet, and causing her to be medically discharged. Barbara has stayed in contact with me through out this process always checking in on us and how we are doing. Even though we are not with Domino's I know I still have their support and I can contact them at any time.
Domino Service Dogs has played an enormous part in our family's life for the last six and a half years. We trained one wonderful service dog and are now beginning to train a successor dog. The trainers and volunteers are compassionate, knowledgeable, and amazing teachers. I have recommended Domino to friends and highly recommend DSD to anyone who is willing to make a commitment to train their own service dog.
Domino Service Dogs is an amazing non-profit organization and continues to help my daughter and her service dog! They are really absolutely amazing at what they do and I hope they are around forever -- and even expand and help more people! Denver is extremely lucky to have them! Please support them in any way you can!!
I love volunteering here. I always feel fulfilled after condunting training sessions with clients. Domono Service Dogs really does change lives! Thank you, Barb, for letting me help!
Never met anyone like Barb and her team of big-hearted folks that have unlimited patience, kindness and know-how. I have participated in quite a few of the outings and love the creativity that goes into each event. While I am impressed with the staff, I am absolutely moved by the stories of the folks whose lives are changed.
DSD is a wonderful non profit that truly cares and is passionate in what they do. Its a safe place to train your service dog and no judgment is cast. Thank you Domino Service Dogs

I love the fact that not only does DSD train by using positive reinforcement with the service dogs in training, they keep the training sessions and atmosphere a safe place for whatever happens stays in the classroom. I am a very private person with a disability it's very comforting to know I'm not going to be judged or talked about with other clients..DSD is a wonderful non-profit organization that helped me regain my independence.
Domino Service Dogs has truly saved my life and I am forever grateful for them. DSD has a wonderful community where everyone fits in and feels at home.
Domino has been such a positive presence in my life over the last year or so. Absolutely wonderful team of trainers and community of people.
I love this organization! It is satisfying to see a group of people genuinely care about their clients. The clients become family throughout the program, and many are sad to learn they won't be coming back regularly once they graduate. The bonds created, the dogs that are trained, and the lives that are touched due to Domino Service Dogs is reaffirmimg that good still exists in this world!
Charlie and I attended Domino Service dogs 2022 graduation. Every day I am amazed and appreciative to have Charlie in my life. Charlie makes my life so much better. I have no words to adequately express my deep gratitude.
What struck me about the graduation ceremony was the connection of each person and their dog. It was beautifully touching to hear how each dog has empowered their person and improved their quality of life. Though details are different, Charlie and I share this with each of the teams.
With the positive approach to training, the dogs learn skills and choose to offer behavior that helps and enhances our life’s.
I am extremely grateful to Barbara, Domino Service Dogs and all of the helpers that have made it possible for me to have Charlie in my life. I am also extremely grateful to all of them for the work that they do so that others can also share a similar experience with their dog. Makes the world a better place to be

I am super grateful to Domino Service Dogs for Charlie. With help from Domino, I have been working with Charlie for a little over a year and hoping to graduate. The positive training techniques used are effective. This type of training encourages Charlie to make choices which develops grounded, calm responses. It also creates a relationship based in trust, respect and care. Barbara's insights and skill with training are very effective and inspiring.
It’s impossible to verbally summarize what DSD has done for me, my dog, and my family. I suffer from epilepsy, and the training and guidance provided by DSD has eased so much anxiety around my disability. We know that Winnie will react to a seizure, provide rescue meds, and calm me down. She’s invaluable to our family, and we owe it all to DSD. What began as a personal endeavor for Barbara has turned into her and others selflessly help us get our lives back.

I’ve been training my dog with Domino Service Dogs for just over a year, and my dog has already been instrumental in two seizure episodes that I’ve had. Without this in-training service dog, I would have been much more vulnerable. Without Domino Service Dogs, I wouldn’t be able to train my puppy to assist me in emergency medical situation. They’re knowledgeable, compassionate, and patient, all of which are necessary for me.
Domino Service Dogs offers a highly successful approach by offering individual support in a comfortable, informative small group environment. Barbara and Randy share amazing insight about dogs and Service Dogs which continues to help my son handle / train his young dog. Yes, there are challenges but Domino addresses them head on for quick resolution and I am so grateful we discovered them. This is a life-changer for my son! Thanks, DSD!
Barbara was great working with our whole family to help train and test my wifes service dog, not only through graduation from the program but beyond. She has continued to be available with advice and made review sessions available any time we ask.
Our dog Patch has been a absolutely critical in allowing my wife and our family to move forward. Great experience.
Domino has been a pleasure to work with. The mission they’re working on brings real value to the disability community here in Denver and beyond. The freedom they give people with their dogs is immeasurable.
Domino Service Dogs has changed my life and become a second home. This is an amazing group of people doing amazing work. Thank you!
I've been working with Domino for a few months now and it's been amazing. I was worried about having to balance service training and regular training and it's all being done under one house.
I love that I'm the one doing the training. Buttons and I have a closer bond than I've ever had with a dog because of Domino's self-training.
I'm confident that he'll grow into a good service dog.
I have had Maislyn, my service dog, for over seven years. We trained together through Domino Service Dogs. She has been my constant companion and best friend from day one. She helps with mobility, picks up dropped items, helps with laundry along with many other things. Don’t know what I would do without her!

In May of 2014, I met Barbara Henry and my service dog, my new best friend. The two year owner train program covers almost every situation we may encounter, with weekly "classroom" training & real world outings. Training is more than skill & cue training. It is confidence training for people and their dogs. My service dog is an incredible help. She keeps me from falling and helps me up if I do fall. She picks up a plethora of dropped items & helps me get ready each day. She's a terrific help on laundry day! Very grateful for Domino Service Dogs, empowering people 4 paws at a time!
I'm a survivor of a mass shooting and not being a veteran it was very hard to find a program that could help me find and train a dog to assist with my PTSD. Barbara and all the staff at Domino are amazing and I'm so lucky to have found them.
Domino Service Dogs is by far the best service dog training center in the industry. Their owner and volunteers are so kind and accommodating to new comers and so very professional and thorough in their training. I highly recommend them to anyone needing this service
DSD was my saving Grace from God. I got Kiowa a 10-month-old from Barbara’s daughter and the dog change my whole life and my outlook on it. He was everything to me even though he only went seven years and 2 1/2 months old. But that dog knew how to open doors closed doors we Train him to takeoff my clothes put them back on my socks my shoes and when I had a seizure he laid on my chest till somebody could come and help us. Barbara and Caitlin at DSD saved my life
Highly recommend. Domino Service Dogs isn’t just a service dog training facility - it is so much more than that. It’s a safe place to be yourself, no matter how you feel or what you struggle with. You become apart of a family (I recommend private lessons for a more one-on-one experience). Barbara and her team truly care about empowering people while equipping them with the tools, skills, and confidence needed for success. They have changed my life for the better and I couldn’t be more grateful.

Highly recommend. Barbara and her team are one of a kind. They are professionals. The real deal. The services they provide are honestly priceless. I’d also like to commend them on the way they are conducting business during these sensitive times as we navigate COVID-19 together as a whole. They are very well prepared. Barbara specifically is direct, informative, and very kind (not to mention all dogs love her) and I wouldn’t want any other group of people training my dog. I trust them.
I trained with dominos for three years . There staff is so wonderful. They are extremely positive and not only did my dog Odyssey pass his canine good citizens test , but he passes his public access test and graduated . I learned so much and consider DSD my second family
I feel so grateful to be a volunteer at Domino Service Dogs! The staff is amazing and the clients are fantastic. Watching the dogs transform and become service dogs is so rewarding!

I began volunteering with Domino Service Dogs in the beginning of 2020. I found the people knowledgeable, friendly, and willing to help. The pandemic started and Domino had to close for awhile, as did many businesses. Shortly after Domino reopened, I needed surgery and have had complications as well as still isolating myself because of the pandemic. I cannot tell you how much I miss the work, the staff and the clients!
This is an incredible organization which provides much needed services to those who need to train their dogs to help them with their daily needs and disabilities, either for themselves or for a family member. The dog trainers are knowledgeable, dedicated and are adaptable to working with different dog personalities to provide the diverse needs of the clients. The staff is helpful, accommodating and the organization provides a needed service!
DSD does a great job listening to their clients and their needs. They did a wonderful job of matching us with our puppy based on need and then have gone above and beyond with the training. They are very helpful and quick to respond to questions and concerns.
Domino Service Dogs has changed my life. Not only have I found freedom through my service dog but I have also found community and acceptance like I had never experienced before. Thank you!
I believe that Domino Service Dogs is a wonderful nonprofit organization that has changed the lives of many. Including my niece, who has received a dog from Domino and it has completely changed her life. In return, has changed the lives of those around her. The organization not only places dogs with people they create a new life for them and their families. There is no other organization that i would recommend not only for my own family but for those who are in need of a service dog.
I Have had the privilege of seeing these dogs in public and they are exceptionally well behaved. The handlers are wonderful and so professional. It is great to see these partnerships and witness the behavior of these noble service animals.
Every trainer I've had at domino has been incredibly supportive and filled with positive reinforcement. I have no doubt that my son will have the perfect service companion to guide him into adulthood when our training is complete. Not to mention, I feel like I've developed some great lifelong friends during our time. Thank you so much!
Barbara is great! she really knows how to manage a crazy puppy and turn them into near perfect service dogs.
Barbra and DSD have been wonderful. Barbra has helped find the best dog for our daughter with special needs. She has been wonderful in helping us train our puppy and is open to helping us solve any problems we encounter in our journey with training. Even though training is time consuming, the outings and classes are fun and the time goes by so fast. We are so blessed to be in this program and to help our daughter and to train her service dog.
They have taught us so much and we just started. They pay attention to details and give you clear homework and direction. We are excited to grow and learn more. I am confident this will be the only program we will need. It is comprehensive and they assist you in achieving your dogs top potential. I absolutely love the director and her team, so happy we found this program!

When no one else would help me train my dog to be a hearing assist dog Domino Service dogs step up and said yes. Losing ones hearing is scary and makes you want to hide from the hearing world. Having a buddy beside you that can alert you to people calling your name or wake you up in the morning is life saving for me. She can alert to buzzers going off in my kitchen so everyone will have a wonderful meal. My dog lets me know when emergency vehicles are approaching so I can be aware of there presence. This all happen for me because Domino Service dogs said yes. I will always be grateful to Barbara Henry the head trainer and my mentor of Domino Service Dogs.

Domino Service Dogs, Barb and her staff helped train my dog, Jujubeans, for Brace and balance. They were always patient and I think worked harder at training me than Juju but after what seemed like a long time we finally graduated. Juju has been my lifeline these past four years and made my life so much easier and consequently fuller. I can't began to express how all encompassing the training was allowing us to go anywhere and do anything with total confidence.
The support that I have received in the ability to train my Service dog has been nothing less but the most positive experience I have ever had the understanding of persons with a disability to help you realize how your dog can be the best gift.
A person with disabilities is limited even in Dailey activities. The service dog inables many to continue productive Dailey tasks.
Some help with picking up items, open doors push buttons.
Elsie is in training for these tasks along with she will be my stability companion.
Elsie and I are one year + and working towards graduating
