In Loving Memory of My FatherI donate to the Crowley Foundation in honor of my late father. Raised in Harlem by a single, working mother, he benefited from the support of male relatives and the strength of his community. After serving in the Korean War, he settled in California, pursuing higher education while working as a city bus driver. He earned his Associate's Degree and went on to become a parole officer, a rare achievement for a Black man in that field.My father deeply believed that individuals are not defined by their past mistakes, particularly those incarcerated for non-violent offenses. He dedicated himself to mentoring young men, volunteering with organizations like the Crowley Foundation. He understood the profound impact positive male role models have on the lives of young people, helping them overcome obstacles and achieve their full potential.I am confident my father would be incredibly proud of the work Kenneth Crowley and the Foundation are doing for our youth. I am honored to support this vital mission and encourage others to join me in making a difference.
The Crowley Foundation is strong, committed leadership for young men. It provides structure, development, love, and a judgment free environment. The founder and his beautiful wife make you feel like family, not just while you are in the programs, but the bond is everlasting.

Year after year with every event ( the summer retreat being our favorite) the foundation provides a safe place for my son to be open an honest about life. The exposure and experience surrounding mental, physical, spiritual, and financial health has been monumental in his development at a crucial time from a teenager to young adult. The Crowley Foundation is a one-of-a-kind organization! I've volunteered for a few of their boys2MEN leadership workshops/summits. boys2MEN gives young black males an opportunity to develop as young kings, receive mentorship, and ultimately break generational curses. The work that the Foundation does is very intentional and necessary. Throughtout the summits and workshops, the young kings attend engaging brotherhood sessions. In these sessions they build support systems and critically think of solutions that impact their lives. Students are prompted to open up via various activities that address their current situations and trauma. Students are provided with resources and opportunities for lifelong mentorship. The demand and need for organizations like the Crowley Foundation in the nation is immense and I am grateful to be affiliated in any way!
The Crowley Foundation is a solid representation of a successful Denver nonprofit that supports young black men. This organization is a pillar to Colorado with its contributions to the city through its community service and resources that helps support Young black men in middle and high school. The Crowley Foundation provides tools of mental health, financial literacy, and the steps to becoming a legacy leader to these young boys so they have the proper skills to build a bright future for themselves and their community. The Crowley Foundation is ideal and best non profit program that supports its community. Their core values of Family, Service, Pay it Forward, Authenticity, Integrity, Leadership, and Scholarship sets the tone and embodies the true importance of what a non-profit should look like. Their hard work and determination have made me want to start a non-profit. Anyone associated with the Crowley Foundation is felt loved and apart of a loyal and caring family. I encourage all non-profits to take notes on the Crowley Foundation.
I have never been to a Crowley Foundation summit before. My mom signed me up and I thought it was going to be like every other boring trip, but I was so wrong. We stayed in a very prestigious Embassy Suites hotel; the rooms were amazing! Each Day we had breakfast from 6:30-8:30. Then at nine we start our day with meditation which really helped clear the mind. Afterwards we engage in affirming chants. One of them, based on a poem says, "Young king, Young King, this is my crown. It sits only at the top. There is no taking it down. Young King, King King, the crown is heavy. The responsibility is heavy. The need for me in my community is heavy. But it's through my leadership that makes me complete. Because I don't know about you, but there is a king in me. Because I am, I am, I am, complete." -Eugene Buckman Jr. And with my whole time here, the Crowley family and the Crowley Foundation have done nothing but teach me and my fellow brothers, how to live the life of kings. In our academics, athletics, our scholarly lives, and even in our daily life; We are kings!

The Crowley Foundation is a fun, learning experience. This week taught me many ways to be successful and a great leader. The Crowley Foundation has also taught me that going through failure and knowing that you won’t let it stop you from achieving your goals in life will show how hardworking, independent, and successful you are.
The Crowley foundation has helped me in my journey to be a better man with every single event. I’m currently learning how to be a man of service to not only benefit my own life styles but also help my community. My experience with the Crowley Foundation was a great one. The Crowley Foundation gave me a sense of community with my strong black brothers and also gave me confidence in myself as a strong black man. They also helped me believe that anything is possible by giving young black men like me the tools that are needed to become successful in life.
This week has been an amazing week. I have meet people I can call family, it feels like I have brothers that are not blood and I feel comfortable being here, I feel free I feel, like I becoming a man coming here for the past few days and I thank the Crowley’s for that.

Before going to this program, despite the charisma I tried to convey, I needed guidance, a male figure, and brothers who I could relate to. In the beginning I stood offish,I was awkward, intimidated, and had no idea how to talk to people, but I was quickly embraced. The culture that this program has is near unmatched, the deep conversations, open debates, are something I won’t forget
My experience with the Crowley foundation has been really surprising I was welcomed found people I can really connect with and with that also learn how to be a leader what it looks like to be a leader and what it takes to be a leader great experience
My experience doing this program was very fun. I got to meet new people, make new friends etc. I also got the experience to go to CSU and gain more knowledge about college and how to be successful during college. This program also taught me to have a hard work ethic, be a life long learner, regard the impossible, and be accountable for my actions. Overall I think this program is amazing for the youth.

This week spent with Crowley foundation has been life changing for me. My experience this week with the 2023 Crowley Foundation Leadership Summit has been encouraging, motivational , and very powerful. All the things I learned I feel like I can use as a resource to better who I am as a person and help me guide my life path.
First, my experience so far here is great because i’m learning new things and meeting new people.Then, I like the energy everyone brings and everyone has positive energy. Also, the brothers in the group will uplift you and some of the things we’ve done is go on a CSU tour and that was a learning experience because they tell us what’s it’s like at college and the black experience at college.
This has been a very fun and enlightening experience. I’ve had a lot of room to grow and learn about myself, and others around me. I am very grateful for the time I’ve spent here.
I have been exposed too great opportunities and been able to realize what other career paths I can achieve other than sports.I truly appreciate this foundation and the people who lead it.

This organization has changed me as a person. It has given me confidence, allies, and a drive for self improvement. In the time I’ve spent with this organization I’ve been better and driven to continue getting better. They provide amazing accommodations and food with a great program full of substance.

As a young man before I attended this program, I was very lost. There was sometimes I had no hope I would make it to the age of 21. During the 2023 leadership summit, I was able to gain knowledge, and take a look at myself to better understand myself as a young man. Hi, my name is Raymond and I have been involved with the Crowley Foundation since I was 11 years old. They have truly helped mold me into a true Young King. As of this week i have learned about many great moral based commitments to truly grow my Psyche. I love the Crowley Foundation and will be deeply indebted for many years to come.
My week was great, I in joyed the learning space and the opportunity to receive badges of success this week. The highlight of my week was the CSU trip. I was very inspired to go to college, and this trip honestly has made me become a better man

The trip at CSU was great I am going to that college later in August and so while I was there I had a virtual orientation but since I was there with the Crowleys why not make my time useful and get things done. 10/10

This Organization is more than just a Non- Profit, it is a community gateway to an extended family. They lead with authenticity and purpose to uplift every Young King that participates in their Workshops.
I’ve had the privilege and opportunity to spend time with them at the Risk and Protective Factors Conference. The experience felt spiritual and divinely connected.
I was introduced to The Crowley Foundation when seeking positive, black male role models for my son. We were new to Colorado and it was very important to my son to connect with black males. We were invited to the Male Summit and it was one of the best events for black males I had ever attended. My son stated he had fun, learned a lot and his thoughts and opinions were heard and valued! This was the summit when the attendees were photographed and wrote a short message describing their career goals for the Young Kings book! This event enhanced his excitement about his career goals and increased his social network.
In addition to the event, Mr. Crowley became a mentor to my son. He was intentional about spending time with him, calling him or texting him. As an only child, this relationship with Mr, Crowley was instrumental in helping my son experience what it is like to have a big brother. It is programs like The Crowley Foundation that provides equitable, culturally competent educational resources, events and support young black males, young Kings need as they navigate in a country that does not value them as human beings. It is without reservations that I recommend The Crowley Foundation to any young black male who need authentic relationships, support and genuine caring and love from other positive, successful and supportive black males.
The Crowley Foundation is all about showing LOVE!!! They work with students and families from all diverse backgrounds, offering mentorship, workshops, and exposure to future opportunities students are interested in, along with some that they might not have even considered. The Crowley Foundation assists students with their quest to pursue a quality education formally and informally. Not only do they help students get to college, but they support them through graduation by calling and sending messages regularly to check in, or taking students out to eat and celebrating students' successes. Outside of the classroom, the Crowley Foundation offers educational opportunities to develop essential life skills, strategize on how to accomplish students' goals in life, learn how to practice self-care, as well as grow personally and professionally. The resources and support I have seen them offer young people feels more like family more than anything else... Thanks for all you do Crowley Foundation! Much love!!!
The Crowley Foundation. The Crowley family. Is one in the same. I would not be the Young King, leader or scholar without the Crowley Foundation.
I have a long story but I’ll keep this one as short as possible. I’ve have had the privilege to get to know the Crowley family personally and witness first hand the vision of this influential organization and received the same love as if I was their son. They introduced me to, “The LU” Langston University and not not only helped me get there but supported me along my journey to FINISH THE RACE. I’ve been BLESSED as a first generation college student to represent the Crowley Foundation and share of my collegiate experiences with our fellow Young Kings at various workshops and leadership summits throughout the past 6/7 years. Every workshop is awesome. Every leadership summit is impactful, heart changing and better than the last. This is only the beginning, the heights of success and influence for this family/organization is limitless. They change the world. WE change the world. Say our truths. Know ours roots.

I have had the pleasure of being with The Crowley Foundation from the being, I have seen them grow into this amazing family where you know you have someone there that is going to guide and motivate our youth, giving away scholarships, having workshops Boys 2 Men, Aviation, Mine Set of Money, Legal /Judicial, SAT prep, The Crown is Heavy and touring a local college. This is family. Its been exciting to watch there growth in the community. And the lives they have touch and continue to touch. This organization has meant alot to young men in this community. To have someone to just listen and understand some of the struggles they face. My son has benefited from some of the workshops they have. If you have and opportunity to have any of your young males attend a workshop. It will be something they will never forget.
The Crowley Foundation has been a God sent program and a great opportunity for my son. The mentorship and support networks have better prepared him with life skills that will benefit him for life, help him be successful in college, and be a positive member of society. My son spent his last 2-year in the program and during that time he built strong relationships with the Crowleys, the mentors, and the other young men in the program.
From my daughter now 26 to my son who's now a freshman in college, the Crowley has been one of the key factors to helping my kids take their rightful position in society. My daughter holds her Master's degree as a social worker and my son is pursuing his Bachelor's in Business. Thank you for your continuous mentorship, showing my son that his life holds meaning and purpose in life. We will continue to support you as you will for my next two sons.

I’ve had the pleasure of serving as a mentor, facilitator, and a huge fan of the Crowley Foundation for the past five years and their dedication to change the narrative has been an amazing journey to experience and be a part of. From their involvement in many young African American men lives to their visibility in high risk communities, the Crowley Foundation has always shown a tremendous amount of hard work and dedication in the movement for a better future. They’re building a better world.
The Crowley Foundation is an exceptional non-profit organization committed to their vision of developing our youth academically and providing life skills. Our son participated in the 2018 boys2MEN Leadership Summit at CU Boulder. It was a great experience for him. The summit energized him and he left with a greater sense of purpose. I was impressed by the students’ presentations on their businesses they created, their teamwork and the positive influence of their mentors.
My son has participated in Fall workshops at the CU Anschutz Medical Campus which covered many topics relevant to our youth and many other activities sponsored by the foundation. When I asked my son how he felt about the Crowley Foundation, he said “They are Amazing! Feels like family. They challenge you and they truly care. They will always be part of my village.”

The Crowley foundation is a great nonprofit organization, they helped me become the young man that I am today. They help young boys lift them selves up to be young kings. They show them new experience like taking them to colleges and letting them experience college life, encourage you to do what you want to do in life. They have a different type of love for all the young kings that joined the organization.
I'm very grateful for the Crowley Foundation because of the work it does to give young men, particularly young Black men the tools they need in order to thrive. Where most programs only focus on one or two characteristics when working with young people, the Crowley Foundation helps build strong men by educating and mentoring them in multiple disciplines. Young men who participate in the workshops learn the Crowley Foundation values of respect, community, family, leadership, charity, service and more through witnessing those values in action and practice.
The young men who pass through the various program develop a network of adult and peer mentors and are introduced to community & civic leaders who help them visualize success and help them believe in their potential. Participants also develop an extended family made of brothers who have learned the Crowley Foundation core values and are practicing the same positive social/emotional skills which lead to extended success in life.
As a single mom with three young men. The Crowley Foundation has definitely been an part of our lives for the last 5 + years. The summer programs as well as the many programs that are held throughout the year are definitely what is needed in the community. They build these young mens character and help them to achieve Higher Goals. The standards this organization have set have definitely been something that has inspired our family to be a part of our community, to strive for only excellence, and to be there for each other as well as those around us. This organization is definitely one that is fulfilling the needs of those who benefit from it. I thank them for their continued involvement in our lives and I will continue to support them as much as I can. This past summer, I learned of the Crowley Foundation's Boyz 2 Men Leadership summit and signed my son up. I was so pleasantly surprised! After the four day retreat, I went to CU Boulder to pick up my son and I was blown away. These boys worked so hard over the past 4 days on business ideas and creating a mini city. More importantly these boys formed a community that quickly, were taught their history, and how to be a "king".
My son was more eloquent and respectful when I picked him up and first the time, I was able to see a glimmer of the man he would become, I am so proud, thank you Crowley Foundation!!!
The Crowley Foundations has established a foundation for my grandson to build upon. He has found a mentoring group which has taught him to strive for a future that he can be proud of. The opportunity to experience college in the annual event to CU Boulder, the community service projects and every phone call answered when we are in need of support and guidance, has given my grandson and myself the direction we needed to both pay it forward and strengthen our lives. Jaidan has been involved with the Crowley Foundation for more than five years, and he is tutoring younger students as he readies himself to graduate from High School and pursue a degree in History so that he can become a teacher one day. We are grateful for everything the Crowley Foundation has done for us. I am looking forward to continuing my support . Thankful to them for also supporting my grandson Tayvion. The Crowley Foundation included him in activities when he visited us from Oklahoma. Tayvion is now set to enter Langston University in the Fall, and the support continues.

My Grandson has been in my care from the age of five years old. He does not have a relationship with his father, and other than seasonal contact with men who stand as role models in his life during football, there had been no structured or personal mentor involved in his life. The Crowley Foundation offers and provides an environment for my grandson to meet, interact, and acquire that in life which only an interaction with men and boys who are in similar circumstance can provide. I was not financially able to accomplish so much of what the foundation provides for the boys and young men participating in the foundation free of charge. Teaching him how to present and exist as a young black man in the world. The Crowley Foundation has been a foundation for growth, learning, self esteem and direction. Community service and an ideology which focuses on individual purpose, so that the boys and young men throughout our community develop into the men who will pay it forward by being the best that they can be . With their strong focus on education and career, they are most valued and needed.
The Crowley Foundation is unique in inspiring our kids towards greatness. It is such an infusion of positive motivation and unbending expectation of excellence from all students that all kids leave their workshops equipped with what they need to take on the future, and with great success. Working with the Crowley Foundation has been a wonderful and enriching experience for my son!

7 years ago my best friend invited me to the first boys2MEN workshop by the @Crowley foundation. This foundation has been one of the greatest and most impactful experiences in my life, and I want to thank the Crowley Foundation for their consistent commitment to our community. Back in 2010 I was fortunate enough to meet mentors that would guide me to college, Extended family members, and friends that would last a lifetime. I greatly also appreciate the foundation now only impacting me but for also allowing me the opportunity to also pay it forward and raise the next generation of Kings !

I was fortunate enough to take part in one of the programs that the Foundation put on this summer. I am a DPD Detective and was uncertain as to how I would be received by the participants. This program was top - notch and well organized. I was proud to have made leap and was pleased with the outcome.
This organization touches hundreds of kids each year. I have personally witnessed the work of this organization and have watched young people develop and execute plans for their futures as a result of this organization's programming. I have marveled as year after year, as this organization attracts talented and accomplished professional adults, who come to volunteer their valuable time to work directly with the young people in this organization; along side of young people who have benefited from this program who come back to work with the youth who follow them.

After successful completion of these programs; students are connected to scholarship opportunities, and are equippedwith the tools needed to get into college and succeed.
Mission: To provide educational opportunities to Colorado youth through academic instruction, life skills, college preparatory programs and scholarships! We foster learning and empowerment by providing leadership development programs and promoting education as a requisite component of success.
Results: We have awarded 42 Scholarships totaling over $100, 000.

I haved worked with and followed Kenneth Crowley and his organization for several years. His compassion and commitment to improving the lives of young men are commendable and should be recognized on several fronts. The Crowley Foundation Inc. Is deserving of any support that is afforded to it to further its mission of great work.
My son has been under the wing of the Crowley Foundation for more than four years. He attended his first Boys to Men workshop as a freshman in High School. He showed such positive results by being around male youth his age and African American male leaders. After that first workshop we made sure he was signed up for all of their workshops and training sessions. During his four years in high school he attended numerous Crowley Foundation workshops such as college sessions at CU Boulder, ACT/SAT prep classes, flight classes that gave him exposure to seeking a career as a pilot, in person site visits from colleges and so many more. All for FREE! The program inspired my son to know that college was the next step after graduation and within his reach. The workshops showed him there were different careers available, helped him identify his interest and potential careers, showed him how to apply for scholarships and so much more. Over the course of the years the Crowley Foundation became a second family to us. They were present in my son's life milestones; attending momentous events in his life and celebrating those events with him. The Crowley family showed up to my son's games and even his graduation. One invite and they were there. Although my son excelled at sports The Crowley Foundation reminded him grades, the right attitude in life and graduating college were the key not sports alone. I never really knew how important the Crowley Foundation was to our family until my son's senior year. My son began to start down the wrong path, hangout with the wrong crowd and loose sight of his future. As his parents we believed it might have steamed from the pressures of realizing high school was about to end and the life he was accustomed to was destined to change. Needless to say we were unable to help our son and he chose to runaway. We were loosing him and didn't know what to do or where to turn and the school was no help. It became questionable if our son would graduate high school let alone enroll in college. My fears of the unimaginable of what could happen to our son pushed me to reach out to The Crowley Foundation. I knew my son held the utmost respect for the Crowley family. When I called Mr. Crowley his exact words were "we got him sis and we're not giving up on him". Within a couple of months and constant communication from the Crowley Foundation our son was back home and back on the college track. He graduated from High School and was admitted to Langston University, where he is beyond excited to carry on our family tradition. The Crowley Foundation bestowed the honor of making our son an Ambassador/Mentor for their program, where he has been able to share his story, his experiences and uplift young men like him. I honestly believe we would have lost our son to the systems that set-up young men (especially young men of color) for failure in the form of high school dropout, selling/using drugs and prison. Thanks to the Crowley Foundation that is not the destiny for our son. This Fall we will drop our son off to college and everyday my son has said to me with the biggest grin on his face, "mom, can you believe I'm going out of state to college". His goal is to study Sports Management and has a huge interest in college recruiting. As a bonus he will get to play football, with the dream of starting the University's first baseball team. The Crowley Foundation prepared him for more than just attending and graduating college, they gave him life skills. I know our son will maintain his relationship with the Crowley Foundation and the Crowley family and I know they will be one of the strongholds that will help keep him focused and get him through college to graduation. Our family will be forever indebted to this gracious foundation that goes way beyond college prep.
You will be amazed on what the Crowley Foundation opens you're eyes to. They will teach you from the ground up in 5 days and on that last day you will be well more educated. They really do have an impact on lives, they have great connections to help people students with scholarships, needing someone to talk to, they are family!
Financial support is important, but leadership development is no less crucial. At Crowley, opportunities for deserving students to achieve both and more are provided. Without the help like ones from the Crowley Foundation, students like myself may not be able to attend and succeed in college with a peace of mind!
My son attended the Crowley Leadership Summit for Boys to Men at CU in Boulder and came back engergized and inspired. This was his first time attending an event from home for a week and I had to make him go. The first night he said it was great and his mentor was outstanding. The comradeship among the other boys who attended made him want to stay in touch as they shared their addresses with each other. He indicated he never knew poetry could be so moving and powerful. The rich teaching caused him to learn about his strength as a young black King and that made my heart swell with pride and joy. My son now wants to make a difference in this world, he feels it is apart of his destiny because of the impact that the Crowley Foundation has made upon his life. For that I will always be grateful.
About a year and a half ago I was looking around for local scholarships to apply for to help pay for college. I applied to the Crowley Foundation Scholarship that they give out each year. After my interview with them, they gave me hugs, making me feel a part of their family. I soon found out I was awarded their scholarship and was invited to a banquet they organized for my accomplishment. This is when I felt like I was really a part of their family because not only did they give me a scholarship to help pay for college, but they gave me a laundry basket full of college essentials. The Crowley family constantly kept in touch with me during the school year to make sure everything was alright. They even took a trip up to Ft. Collins and treated other scholars and myself to lunch. The Crowley family is such a loving, caring, and supportive family. I am honored to be awarded their scholarship and live by their values on a daily basis. The Crowley Foundation is a true blessing to have in my life and I couldn't be more thankful.
The Crowley Foundation has helped two of my grandchildren prepare for and actually go to college. They started by participating in the college prep programs they sponsored including preparing for the SAT/ACT tests. The oldest one will graduate from CSU with a degree in Business Administration in December, 2017. They helped her get a scholarship annually which was a blessing for her. We will eternally be grateful to them. One summer she also had the awesome opportunity of working for the Crowley Foundation and learned firsthand, how to manage and operate a non-profit. She matured immensely while working with them. I however, salute them primarily for being a beacon of hope especially for young minority men in their pursuit to earn a college degree. They work with a population that our greater society, for some reason(s), has overlooked and failed to encourage in their pursuit of a college degree. However, this foundation's work and commitment to youth extends beyond encouragement as they actually mentor them through the process to "make it happen!" The Metro Denver community should collectively applaud and honor the Crowley Foundation. ( Brenda Locke)

The Crowley foundation is more than just an organization, it's a family. We're a safe haven for students of all colors and we are a bridge for that gap between higher education and at risk students. I'm glad to be apart of the crowley foundation, this is my family and together with the help of the community around us we've been able to impact so many lives in a positive way. I pray that continues and that we grow even more and reach a even bigger audience.
The Crowley Foundation and literally the family have help me tremendously. Not only did I experience college I also became a leader and I was the most quiet and shyest person ever. Now I try to attend every workshop because I want to gain knowledge that they bestowed upon me.

Before the inception of the Crowley Foundation, Ken has played a pivotal role in his children friends lives. He is a father that is approachable to confide in, he does not judge you for the decisions you have made. He is sincere, honest and someone who has your back when you get into a crack. He is not all talk but he is about action and being transparent. His passion for the youth permeates from the board members to the volunteers. The saying is it takes a village to raise a child. The Crowley Foundation provides the tools and support youth need in today's challenging world. With SAP preparation, college campus tours, recognition and motivation, the Foundation has made it possible for them to envision their lives after high school and into college. In addition, the volunteers, board members, etc. have become mentors to these youth and continually show their true compassion and commitment. This is a great organization and we look forward to seeing more great things to come.
There is no other program like this. They are doing a great job in a short time of organizing SAT prep for potential college bound kids. School tours for kids interested going to college. Creating strong community ties and and being a great leader in the community for kids who otherwise wouldn't think seriously about college after high school. I strongly recommend them to anyone with kids interested in attending college.

My experience with the Crowley Foundation has truly been a Great one! The dedication and efforts this organization puts into its support of disadvantaged youth in our community is second to none. Seeing the joy of the kids that get helped is awsome - since there is such a need for this kind of support for families to further thier child's opportunities through higher education.

When I first submitted my scholarship application for the Crowley Foundation INC, I truly did not believe I could become a recipient. After being chosen by the Crowley Foundation INC as a scholarship recipient I realized what their nonprofit incorporation is all about. Being a recipient of the Crowley Foundation INC scholarship allows me to have a sense of family within the nonprofit corporation. The people that make up the Crowley Foundation are people who give up all their time to ensure that their corporation is well and running and they always keep up with their recipients. I can always count on having the members of the Crowley Foundation there for me as a strong support system. Overall this is a great nonprofit corporation, and it is one I hope to be a part of someday.

The success of a student in the college preparatory program depends on personal motivation, passion, dedication and hard work. Equally - if not more - importantly, it takes a instructor with full dedication, energy, hardworking, qualification and ability to inspire and motivate students to be the best they can be. I regard highly of The Crowley Foundation with these qualities as I observed during the past school year. Kids have had great fun as well as learning a lot from the facilitators teaching and coaching.
Besides the college preparatory and scholarships, they also offer other programs, life skills, workshops and academic instruction.
