I have been lucky enough to witness firsthand the amazing work of this organization, as a New Earth volunteer. New Earth has helped many incarcerated young people find their voices through it's writing and music programs. New Earth continues to support clients upon their release, providing re-entry services and fostering empowering relationships. In addition, New Earth serves the community by offering a creative forum each month for local writers, musicians and artists to share their talents (Expression Mondays.) All of the staff members are caring, open and passionate about their work. I would highly recommend New Earth to anyone looking for a meaningful volunteer experience, a nonjudgmental setting to express themselves or seeking re-entry services for themselves or a loved one.

Having worked closely with the organization for over 2 years, it is noticeable that the organization needs some restructuring and is overstrained with a overworked staff trying to meet the needs of too many clients. This causes a lack of attention to detail and follow through. However, their impact in the community and in the lives of the youth they serve is commendable.
