Very welcoming, organized, and kind people that run the Culver City MOW. I volunteered not knowing anyone and I feel like I fit right in. It’s a lot of work to prep the meals I deliver and I appreciate how much work they put into helping so many people.
I get delivery of 3 meals a week and great to reheat in micro. I especially like Michael who delivers on Wednesdays and we have a nice chat‼️ lately have been getting some fresh fruits and veggies donated from the Farmers Market. The meals are tasty, healthy and low sodium just what I need. God bless all the volunteers… I so appreciate all that they do.
amazing. So caring and wonderful. I am privileged to honor this agency. they served my father for the last 7 years of his life when he could no longer drive. They did a PERFECT job! Love their staff. During COVID they helped and continued to serve those who needed their help. They get very little government funding and totally rely on our help!!!
A kind and caring group of people helping those in need. Happy to support such a wonderful nonprofit organization.
I had a friend whom had medical issues the last several years of life and signed up for daily meal delivery with CPMOW. The non-profit gave him the opportunity to have a hot nutrious meal and someone to chat with for a few moments which meant a lot to him. After he passed and I retired, I wanted to do something meaningful and thought of CPMOW in honor of my friend so I became a monthly donor and a volunteer. The Executive Director is very professional and some days has her hands full with staff, donors, volunteers, clients, foundations and the daily operations, Clients always come first and she definitely listens and tries to point them in the right direction. For, example a client was facing eviction and didn't know what to do. She tried to locate the appropriate people to help since he was on his own without friends and family. Today life is full of challenges (ups and downs) and this is a non-profit that wants to feed the home bound seniors but needs the financial assistance.
The Meals on Wheels Culver Palms organization works very hard to ensure no senior in the Culver Palms area of Los Angeles goes without. Not only do the staff and volunteers provide, pack, and hand deliver meals -- but the staff also sends care packages, newsletters, birthday cards, festive holiday treats, and makes weekly check-in calls to each of their clients. It's an honor to volunteer with this organization. They are doing important and necessary work for this community.
I started volunteering for Meals On Wheels during the pandemic as my neighbor was a customer. The team in Culver City is wonderful and I couldn’t be more excited to see them every Friday. Dave is my main contact and although he’s extremely busy he always makes time to thank me. Suzanne who does bookkeeping (and everything too) knows every customer by name and also doubles as a full-time animal rescuer. Pam Freiden is the Top Dog and makes sure we have goodies and keeps us coming back. Even though they don’t pay me I consider it my forever Friday job. Thanks MOW!
I've been involved with Culver Palms Meals on Wheels for several years as a delivery driver. Everyone involved with the group is very kind and organized, making it a pleasant way to help out the community. The clients and their loved ones are always so appreciative. Culver Palms MOW warmly offers support to so many elderly and house bound people every week day. They are a valuable service to our community and I am happy to be involved with such a beloved organization!
I have been driving for Meals-on-Wheels for about a year now and love it. The people that use the service are always so nice and appreciative. It is a well-organized nonprofit with many long-time volunteers. It is such a pleasure to be a part of Meals-on-Wheels.
Culver Palms MOW is an excellent organization and I appreciate the opportunity to assist them and their clients packing and delivering meals weekly. I enjoy the camaraderie with the staff and other volunteers.
The clients are so appreciative of the meals, it's a joy to be able to participate in providing meals.
The Culver Palms Meals on Wheels is an exceptional organization headed by a lean professional staff and lead by engaged board members. Most of the day-to-day work is accomplished by loyal and dedicated volunteers who deliver meals and engage with the mostly elderly and home-bound clients. This non-profit makes a significant difference in the Culver City and Palms communities providing timely and nutritious meals for older adults and those with disabilities who are unable to leave their homes. Whether you are considering volunteering or making a generous donation, know that your personal time and treasure are needed and will make a significant difference in the lives of so many of your community members.
Culver Palms Meals on Wheels is a fabulous organization. It provides meals for elderly, home-bound and disabled people in the Los Angeles area. About 40% of the clients are on free or reduced payment for their meals. The volunteers are warm and friendly and the clients really enjoy having them come to their homes.
Culver City Palms Meals on Wheels is probably one of the Best Volunteer experiences I have ever had. The staff and volunteers are super nice and welcoming it’s like a little family. They had a pizza picnic for the volunteers at the park and had a pizza company make the pizza right there at the park. The people we deliver too are very special as well. They literally open their homes to us and are always happy to see us and make us feel like we are all Family. I’ll be here volunteering until the day I’m unable to
