I've had the honor of volunteering with NEABPD events since I was a grad student, and I am so grateful for all the work that's been done, is happening now, and will be done in the future for all of us in this world! NEABPD offers tremendous resources for all of us loving people with BPD and emotion dysregulation, and uniquely offers education, skills and support -- it is an incredible gift period, not to mention that NEABPD programs are offered free of charge!! Whenever I talk to people about BPD (which tends to be daily, given my career as a psychologist and my passionate commitment to our vision at NEABPD: building a world where emotional wisdom prevails!), I share NEABPD as the first and foremost resource.
NEABPD's free Family Connections program is the single best thing to have helped my family. My husband and I credit it with transforming our family and our family member with BDP. NEABPD provides clear, fact-based education, skills training to transform relationships, and support for families often stigmatized by this misunderstood disorder. The organization is committed to reducing the suffering of the tens of millions of people affected by BPD. I'm so grateful to NEABPD that I volunteer to lead courses for other families, I donate, and I serve as a board member. From my board member vantage point, I know that every single dollar is invested with care to help suffering families.
NEABPD is an outstanding nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting families affected by Borderline Personality Disorder. Their signature programs, offered free of charge, teach valuable skills for managing emotions and reducing conflict. I cannot emphasize enough how transformative these skills have been for my family, and I am incredibly proud to be a volunteer!"
My relationship with my daughter has been totally transformed thanks to NEABPD. I understand what she's going through so much better and I gained new skills to relate to her more effectively. The NEABPD community of volunteers is always there for support.
NEABPD is a fantastic nonprofit that has helped so many families - including ours. The free programs teach valuable skills that can transform relationships. The volunteers who support the classes are fantastic and the staff is amazing. They are passionate and committed to supporting families who have loved ones with Borderline Personality Disorder.
The skills and tools I learned from this organization saved my daughter's life and our relationship. I cannot recommend this organization enough. It's for anyone who has someone in their life who gets severely and/or chronically emotionally dysregulated. There's no need to suffer alone or any longer. Help is available so take advantage of their resources.
NEABPD’s free signature programs have improved the lives of countless families, nationally and internationally. Family Connections provides education and teaches DBT skills to family members of individuals who struggle with emotion dysregulation and borderline personality disorder. Family Connections-MSTR offers the same to individuals whose loved ones have engaged in suicidal behavior and serious self-harm.
As a family therapist and a suicidologist, I cannot say enough good thing about this organization.
NEABPD offers trainings and programs that literally save lives. Additionally, NEABPD advocates nationally and in various states for policies that improve access to care, educate key audiences about borderline personality disorder, and reduce stigma.
Programs offered by this nonprofit changed my life and helped my family function better. We have all learned to manage our emotions and resolve conflict. And the programs are offered with out charge! An amazing organization.
This nonprofit taught skills to my husband that saved our marriage! I've had BPD for 50 of my 60 years of life and we talk about our lives before (their program) "Family Connections" and our lives after "Family Connections". It was a life-altering moment in time for both of us!
This organization has achieved a high degree of success in carrying out its mission with an all volunteer staff and little funding: The mission of the National Education Alliance for Borderline Personality Disorder is to raise public awareness, provide education, promote research on borderline personality disorder, and enhance the quality of life of those affected by this serious mental illness. I am proud to be a volunteer and help to move this cause forward.
