I have the privilege of acting as a closing agent for Neighborhood Housing & Development Corporation. <br>I witness men and women at the closing table purchasing their first home. I hear their gratitude pour forth in shouts and tears. They have received counseling and directions to follow the path to home ownership from NHDC. NHDC counselors stand with them throughout the entire process eventually happily celebrating their perseverance as they hand them their own set of keys. NHDC is the heart of my business and reminds me that serving others is indeed a privilege. I have worked with NHDC for many years and I can't praise this organization enough. "The Invisible Credit Struggle: My Journey to Financial Freedom" When I bought my first car, I had no idea what I was getting into. With no credit history to speak of and a parent who didn’t have much financial knowledge, I found myself stuck with an outrageous interest rate on a clunker from a shady dealership. Patient Advocate Foundation is an incredible organization. We’ve heard firsthand impact stories from people whose lives were changed by their support, and it’s clear how deeply committed they are to helping patients navigate challenging healthcare situations. We’ve even recommended PAF to loved ones who suddenly found themselves in need of an advocate — and the guidance they received made a meaningful difference. I’m grateful for the work PAF does and highly recommend them to anyone seeking compassionate, knowledgeable assistance.

I love this organization! As a former participant (2010-2012) and a current employee I have witnessed its humble transparency to serve families better and to serve more families. We don't nail it 100% of the time, but wow, do we put in the effort to get there. I have the privilege to work directly with families and on the organization and the overwhelming vibe is committed hard work from the staff, but especially the families as they navigate their own financial journey. Right from the start, I contacted PINNACLE CREDIT SPECIALIST, the representative answered all my questions, and explained everything to me. I decided to go with the 14-days program, and it hasn't been up to 7 days yet, and already two collections have been removed. The entire staff has been very helpful, kind, and efficient. I was very skeptical, asked lots of questions, and they were very quick to respond no matter what time or day, I have questions or concerns. I am very happy with the progress they are making with repairing my credit. I highly recommend Pinnacle Credit Specialist, they are no nonsense, quality driven, and they get results really quick. I continue to be blown away by the outcomes I see from members and graduates of The Collective. The Collective is doing transformative work to disrupt homelessness that is holistic (housing, job readiness, physical and mental health) and deep.

Never use this company for credit counseling! They will take your money monthly and never fix anything! Then I cancelled my plan and they said I would receive my refund in up to 60 days and it’s been 8 months and I still haven’t received my refund. Worst company ever!

I have a friend who had their social security check redirected to the payee services of Freedom Payee Service while receiving services from Grand Mental Health. He did not knowingly authorize this appointment and had been managing his money effectively. He has to justify every purchase he makes (groceries, clothing, etc) and send receipts so that he can spend his own money. Sometimes Anthony does not approve of different miscellaneous purchases. No competent adult should be treated this way. <br><br>John E

Our counselor was Pedro Padilla, and he was excellent! In addition to presenting all data in a very precise and understandable fashion, he was patient with our questions, thorough in his responses, and had a very kind and subtly humorous demeanor. I have been a volunteer coach for 2 years and have recently joined the board of Wings for Widows because I have been so moved with their mission. <br> <br>As a volunteer, I have been blessed to be able to shepherd widows along their journey with the goal to help them find financial stability in one of the most difficult times of their lives. I did not realize just how important this experience would become when my own mom unexpectedly became a widow. I was able to follow the process set forth by Wings for Widows to gently walk along side my mom while working through my own grief. The guidebook became our trusted road map helping us navigate uncharted waters. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my financial knowledge with others in such a meaningful way.

At our school, we are honored to be able to participate in a savings program with our local bank. Our 5th graders are the 'tellers' and each Wednesday before school, the kids can make deposits. One of our school improvement goals is writing. Also, financial literacy is now a state standard. So, naturally this was a great fit for us to participate in the writing contest and cover many bases. I appreciate this opportunity that is provided by the American Consumer Credit Education nonprofit!

HFLSD provided us a loan for family building. We were so amazed and grateful to find that such an organization exists, and even more amazed at how helpful and kind the staff were. We were treated with respect, understanding, and genuine concern for making sure we were supported throughout the process. HFLSD is an asset to our community and a testament to the generosity of Jewish people when it comes to helping those in need. I did not have a good experience with Sunny Rae Yokim with All In Fiduciary Services in Bozeman, Montana. She was assigned as a payee for me on my social security. Being a retired accountant I am well aware of budgeting, in fact I have lived within my means for years. Upon my first meeting with Ms. Yokim, she informed me she and her husband were in awful credit card debt. It surprised me (since I don't even have credit cards) that this woman was assigned to me, but I had no choice. Not only was she rude, she acted as if my money was her money. I realized right away she had no idea how to live within a budge. I would not recommend Sunny Rae Yokim to anyone. Becky K. White, Billings MT (formerly of Bozeman, MT).

Same as the last person stated......Is this a professional organization really providing assistance to veterans or it’s just another dog and pony show saying they support veterans?<br><br>I was told someone would reach back out to me about my situation and then holiday break happened, still no response from Marsha Unruh the program director. <br><br>"We don’t help with gas or groceries, but I will send some referrals via our network of care from agencies that do that (check your spam/junk folder). If you are needing more than that assistance, please let me know."<br><br>I let her know that I still need assistance and reply:<br>"Well, if you are requesting assistance, you should probably tell me what bills you are looking to pay; we don’t offer blanket financial assistance, so I can’t say whether or not we can help you."<br><br>Sent her specifics and have not heard back, even followed up in email and nothing.......if you aren't dying or your haven't lost your home yet, don't bother......<br>

Pathfinders Tarrant County has truly been a blessing in my life. I regularly attend their events, and it’s always a wonderful experience. The staff is incredibly kind, understanding, and non-judgmental. Pathfinders has made a huge difference for me and my kids, and I’m beyond grateful for their support. The level of assistance they offer is amazing, and regardless of your background, they’re always there to lend a helping hand.

The presenter was very knowledgeable and engaging with the audience. Was able to answer questions , provide strategies to help students guide their process towards Financial independence now and throughout their lifetime. I highly recommend her expertise and communication skills.

The heavy focus on ensuring that the people who seek them out have access to basic financial education is a major benefit! This education will, hopefully, prevent these same people from needing emergency rental or utility assistance again! This is a very well run company and it's having a huge impact in the community.

Today I finally reached out for help calling Bright Path and spoke with Scott. I explained that I am disabled with and living in an RV. The required physical strength and agility have become too much and I was interested in learning about housing possibilities. Scott was really great, he listened and stated he wanted to email me some information for me to read that could help me. I felt like he really cared and this is not common as you inquire for assistance. You asked for a detailed and candid review so here is my story.<br><br>I was forced to sell my home in 2019 and have been in the RV since. It is scary at times being alone without electricity and hearing people walking around the RV hoping they don't knock on the door. You don't realize how you are never in a deep sleep because you have to listen, until you can actually relax in a safe place. Police force you to move and they mean right then and there isn't anywhere to go, this is probably the hardest. I was a successful contractor with my own company, then I was injured by Kaiser in a procedure. Over the next 4 years I had 8 surgeries to include a back fusion, both knees replaced, my foot and hand. I had a beautiful home then I had nothing. There are times I am hungry without money because my food spoiled but somehow I get by, I am a survivor. <br><br>Everything is heavy for me and I am constantly moving resulting in tears of frustration and pain from an untreated compression fracture in my back. I have wanted to reach out for over a year but have been discouraged reading exclusions for programs that included me. I know there are people worst off than me which makes me feel guilty possibly taking a home from someone that has no shelter at all. I know my quality of life is poor causing depression and I also deserve help and a safe place. Volunteering would be helpful and allow me to feel I was helping the less fortunate. <br><br>It is depressing to hear there are no programs that can help, the program is expired or the requirements exclude your situation. When I ended the call with Scott I felt hopeful and I look forward to working with Bright Path and hopefully many "Scotts".

As a donor, I was very impressed with the CEDA organization & its staff for their prompt response, creativity, transparency, effectiveness focusing on the most vulnerable women in society. Every dollar donated was spent on beneficiaries with no administrative expenses with volunteers doing much of the work. I’ve seen firsthand testimonials of beneficiaries describing how their lives were impacted for the better in a short time period with help from CEDA. I’m highly confident CEDA will continue its commitment, dedication, perseverance and creativity to help the most vulnerable members of the community & highly encourage everyone to support the Colorado Enterprise Development for Africa.<br>Aklilu Y
