DebtHelper did a great job, but I rated it 4 Stars because of the person I spoke with when I called to make the appointment. She did not exhibit good customer service skills and seemed rushed and bothered that she had to take my call. SPREADING GRATITUDE:
This is a true testimony of the journey to save my house. I was unemployed for 4 years after being laid off in 2011 from a company where I gave 11 years of service, due to cut backs and the economy. During that time I STRUGGLED to pay my mortgage and fell short in the last 20 months. When I was 12 months past due I asked the bank if they would combine the past due amounts and add it to the mortgage which would grant me an opportunity to start over. The bank refused. Then I boldly asked the bank if they would willing to take $10,000.00 and allow me to start paying the mortgage again. It was a bold move because I did not physically have the money yet. The bankstill refused and filed a foreclosure on my house.
I realized that the bank had no intention to work with me and that this is a problem that a lot of homeowners face. You pay a “30 year mortgage” for over 20 years and as you get close to the finish line they want to rob you of your hard work, then capitalize on it with someone else. Lord, the devil has a plan, but My God has a planet and within that planet there are some GREAT PEOPLE and resources such as Florida Hardest Hit Fund (FHHF) that helped people like me and my friend Clinton (Junior), who God sent to provide me with the information.
It was a long and, at times, tedious journey. It seemed I would be asked for 5 papers and once those were sent I was asked for 10 more. The same process took place but the amount of papers requested seemed to increase. BUT it was all worth it!
In my first attempt seeking help with FHHF, I was told I was not qualified. I was honest in all aspects, so it befuddled me. Yet, I tried again and my persistence paid off in the end. I was working with a FHHF representative by the name of Jacob and if there is an award for the best customer service, Jacob should be the recipient 10 times over. Jacob has the patience, professionalism, tolerance and empathy of a saint. When I was initially not qualified, he took the time to explain everything in detail, even though I was not a client and there was no benefit to help me. He was just as gracious in my moment of triumph as he was in the face of my defeat.
I wrote this message for a few reasons. First, I want to thank the family at Florida Hardest Hit Funds, especially Jacob who had worked on my case so diligently. Secondly, for those of you who are struggling give them a call. You may even get Jacob but, regardless, I can assure you that FHHF will fight for you! Lastly, do not let the banks take away what you have worked so hard for, there are resources out there to help you, reach out to them.

I cannot thank or say enough good things about Ms. Nicole Mezima and Debt Helper and the other staff members for all their assistance with the Florida Hardest Hit Fund application process. At the time, my house was on the verge of being foreclosed on and I could not see the light at the end the tunnel. Ms. Mezima was very thorough and detail-oriented with regard to all the information needed to give HHF and had you give her the most accurate and complete picture of your particular situation. She always responded quickly to any questions or concerns that I may have had. I found Ms. Mezima to be very professional, dedicated, compassionate and understanding and she seems to love helping people and assuring them that things will work out for them and life will get better, even though it does not look like that at the time.
On Thanksgiving Eve, Ms. Mezima gave me a great gift by calling and saying that HHF had granted me mortgage assistance. Thank you does not seem like enough to say with regard to how grateful I am.

I, am Ann Young, a single mother who has not been able to work due to medical problems since October 2014. I have applied for SSI/Disibility, but have been denied, and now I am in the appeal process. I first learned of Credit Card Management, at DebtHelper, from Mr. Tane Cabe with Churchill Mortgage in Gig Harbor, WA. To be honest about this review, I must first say that I feel I have been lead through this as answered prayer.
I’m to old to be selling my home, buying one smaller, scaling-down, so to speak, and starting all over again. But, my prayer was to be free of debt and able to live with these raising cost-of-living expenses. At first, it looked as though I would have to sell my home, consolidate my debt and buy a small home. I would still owe some of the debt, but at a lower rate of interest, making it easier to live with.
Then I learned of Mr. Cabe’s book on the subject of Reverse Mortgage, (which I had some bad feelings about), from a local talk-show host, so, as Mr. Cabe lived in my vicinity, I gave him a call, got his book, and discovered that I could not only get out of debt, but also not have to move and would have enough money to stay in our home and be able to afford these higher cost-of-living expenses. I will be able to pay off all my debt, including my mortgage, freeing-up all my income from my retirement plan + S.S. What a relief, and my wife can breathe easy for a change, not having to worry about stretching the grocery bill, or wondering if we can afford the gas to visit family and friends.
The HECM counseling, required to obtain mortgage financing, was handled in a very patient, helpful and respectful manor by Mr. Alex Borge with Credit Card Management.
He too, proved to be an answer to our prayers, as my wife was quite apprehensive about the three-way phone conference, which Alex made very comforting for her, and gave her a peaceful friendly experience. A big Thank You Alex, for being so gracious with her.
All-in-all, I must give thanks to our Lord for bringing this together in such a peaceful way.

My only issue was that when I scheduled my phone interview the rep. did not emphasize to this hard of hearing baby boomer that both my wife and I needed to be present at the time of the phone interview. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE! At first, I was terrified, putting my 'business' on paper. I was angry with myself for getting into this mess in the first place, but before starting with Credit Card Management Services,Inc the entire PROCESS just overwhelmed me. My story is like many others, I was very much affected by the down turn in the economy and housing market. About 3 years ago I found myself newly diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis and drowning in debt. I was uncertain what the future would hold but knew I needed to prepare to face it head on.
