In the depths of the Covid lockdown, I became aware of Save a Fox with a video featuring Finnegan Fox with his best friend and Save a Fox founder, Mikayla Raines. Finnegan was laughing his happy “heh-heh-heh-heh” giggle. The foxes have beautiful fenced-in acres to run free, play on trampolines, see-saws, dig numerous holes and dens and on occasions get special treats of eggs and nutritious biscuit cookies. While many wild animal sanctuaries exist, more than anything, Save a Fox exemplifies the 501 (c)(3)’s responsibility of education. In my naivety I thought we had grown beyond the primitive practice of sacrificing foxes and mink in the 1970’s. Seeing Mikayla and her husband Ethan, walk along hundreds of tiny wire cages of foxes with beautiful golden or cream fur was heart breaking. Through Save a Fox donations, Mikayla bought out that farm and all 500 foxes were saved and placed. It is my wish, to see legislation in Mikayla’s name, making fur farming illegal in all states.

From our first conversation, we felt the love and care from Sherrie, Shawna and the rest of the CCC team. They truly care about the whole family and we could not have done our cancer journey without them.

If you are not able to make them money, don't go here. That's all they care about. I worked, ate, lived, and slept here for 7 years. I developed severe neuropathy and was unable to work for the last year. The only thing they did to "help" was to yell, and try to convince me that I wasn't in pain. They've evicted me with virtually no help finding a new place.

My daughter had a severe medical emergency shortly before I PCSed from a remote post in Southern California to the Colorado Springs area. She could not fly commercial because one of her medications is an immunosuppressant and driving her so far away from any hospitals would have been risky. VAC made an exception to their combat-wounded rule and found a pilot to fly her and my wife to Colorado Springs. The pilots (a husband and wife duo) were great and their aircraft was perfect for the situation. I am very grateful for their assistance and generosity; my family was in a bind and VAC provided a solution.

Very impressed with their foster to adopt program and the care they put into every detail along the way. We are in love with our pup Honey and I’m just so grateful she found her way to us.

i love free little libraries so much! they have been a staple in my childhood and carried over into my teen years! i even look around now for books to gift to the young readers in my life to raise more people who look for the cute libraries!

The Sibley Equine Conservancy & Helping Horses Minnesota are located in Pequot Lakes, MN on land owned by Bradley & Brenda Myers. The ponies and horses that have been brought to the conservancy are now being cared for and will live out their lives in a natural environment that consists of pastures and a wooded section that allows for natural shade and shelter

My wife had polio in 1946. Gillette Hospital was the only hospital to admit her. If it was not for this hospital my wife would never have survived. I am going to start donating to them in her honor.

DONT DONATE TO THEM THINKING IT IS GOING TO THE PEOPLE IN THE HOSPITAL. I think they could be 5 stars if they changed the call for donations wording and placements to be less misleading. Despite it being a nonprofit, business model seems to be taking advantage of families in crisis. Almost feels like ads would be more honest. This is my personal opinion. You can really tell a lot about an owner of a company by their online presence. Unfortunately, the owner (Charles/Chuck Devito) posts a lot of racist, homophobic, transphobic, xenophobic comments on Facebook. If he treats humans this badly, I can’t imaging what he’s going to the animals?

First started volunteering with a big community event they did. Fell in love with the organization and all the things they do the community. The breadth of their programs is amazing. Farm, music, daycare, athletics, there’s something for everyone. But it is also obvious that they really care. They really go deep with the people in the community. It’s nice to have a nonprofit like this in our community caring about our people.

As a Board member I experience many sides of the We CAN organization. The area that impresses me the most is the effect that the We CAN programs impact everyday lives of our clients. I recently was able to participate in the distribution of winter coats. From the youngest child to the oldest adult there were smiles on the faces of the recipients of the coats, mittens or hats. The gratitude they displayed in their smiles and thanks was sincerely touching. It reminded me of our true mission - to service the needs of our communities. We CAN is amazing.

I adopted my first cat from animal allies. They were so helpful with the process and thorough in helping her needs as she had some medical issues that needed to be addressed before adoption. She is living her best life and we are so happy to have her

Africa Classroom connection does so much good in South Africa! I have been to a couple of their events and it is so great to hear about the work they are doing and how many school rooms they have built. I have also sponsored a really fun event at our home to raise money for their organization!

Caution advised. I cannot, in good conscience, recommend Global Volunteers as a reputable nonprofit. While they promote a “Philosophy of Service,” their practices often lack transparency & fairness, favoring certain programs over others. My company made a donation designated for specific materials where we had served. Despite repeated follow-ups with staff & the community organization, those materials were never provided. I have also heard from other volunteers & staff that donations are redirected to GV’s more “favored” programs (such as Tanzania, Malaysia, Cuba), even when contributions were earmarked, leaving other programs underfunded. Further, volunteer fees go entirely to organizational costs rather than supporting projects, a fact not openly shared. For these reasons, I have formally reported this organization. I strongly encourage prospective donors, volunteers & supporters to exercise caution. In my experience, the image they present is not consistent with reality.

I applied because we are hurting. I left an 11 year severely abusive relationship, 4 mo later an unexpected issue & had a double bilateral mastectomy requiring me to be out of work for 4-6 weeks. 3 months later I had corrective surgery to damage caused by the violentsexual assaults. 2months later the reconstruction surgery to put the implants after the mastectomy.On top of it all, in January 2025 I was fired for excessive absences. I NEVER missed a day aside from 2 weeks to allow healing from the surgeries.kept $1700 of my pay. Then my abuser found me.No work since January 2025, car is up for repo, about to lose it all, they refused to look at my app. because I don't have the work email of my dr, who would be expected to click a link from an automated email account, input her license # and other personal information to verify my story. No dr is going to do that but thats their requirement, no exceptions. That's ridiculous and irrational.

I went through TCR's career training program in 2022 after being a stay at home mom for 10+ years. They helped me identify my strengths and interests while addressing my barrier to employment, and helped me map out a career path with their coaching. I'm now working in my dream job and am forever thankful to my coach, TCR staff, and the program for helping me figure out what I wanted to do and for helping me achieve the things needed to get to where I wanted to be. I'd recommend this program to anyone who hasn't worked before, is unemployed, or is unhappy in their current career. They are the best to have in your corner and really actually care about every single person they work with.

Reviving Sisterhood is a trusted and respected organization doing incredible work for the Muslim women community in Minnesota. Their dedication to empowering Muslim women, fostering leadership, and driving civic engagement is truly inspiring. They work hard, lead with integrity, and make a real, lasting impact. Minnesota is stronger because of the work Reviving Sisterhood is doing!

T1Interational does an excellent job of providing advocacy resources. Its mission of working toward a future where all diabetic patients have access to insulin and all of the other resources needed to live with this disease is one I wholeheartedly support.

My 20-year-old daughter, Ruby, is blind and has cognitive disabilities that make many daily tasks challenging. In my search to help her live as independently as possible, 7 years ago, I began exploring the idea of a service dog. But time and again, I was told that because Ruby couldn’t care for a dog independently, a partnership wouldn’t be possible.<br><br>That changed when I met Hero, one of the incredible school resource dogs trained by PawPADs. After seeing how Hero supported students, I reached out to PawPADs to see if they might consider a handler team model where Ruby and I would work together. Unlike other organizations, Linda didn’t shut the door. She took the time to understand Ruby, our unique needs, and whether a dog could truly enhance her life.<br><br>PawPADs doesn’t place dogs to meet quotas—they are deeply committed to finding the right match. Linda was honest with us from the start: there was no guarantee a dog would be placed, and she encouraged us to keep exploring other options while we waited.<br><br>In June 2020, we got the call—Ruby was invited to Partner Training Camp. We were thrilled, though prepared that a match might not happen. But during the first couple days of camp, it quickly became clear that one dog, Charlie, was attuned to Ruby in a way that felt magical. They were a perfect match.<br><br>Since then, Charlie has been Ruby’s constant companion and quiet protector--picking up dropped items, comforting her during difficult moments, and navigating life by her side. He understands her in ways no one else can. He’s changed her life, and our whole family's.<br><br>Because of the impact PawPADs has had on our family, I joined the board in 2020. I’ve seen firsthand the love, care, and integrity this organization brings to every partnership, not only for the people they serve, but also for the incredible dogs they place.<br><br>What sets PawPADs apart is their commitment to doing what’s right. I have been a volunteer coach for 2 years and have recently joined the board of Wings for Widows because I have been so moved with their mission. <br> <br>As a volunteer, I have been blessed to be able to shepherd widows along their journey with the goal to help them find financial stability in one of the most difficult times of their lives. I did not realize just how important this experience would become when my own mom unexpectedly became a widow. I was able to follow the process set forth by Wings for Widows to gently walk along side my mom while working through my own grief. The guidebook became our trusted road map helping us navigate uncharted waters. I am grateful for the opportunity to share my financial knowledge with others in such a meaningful way.

this business has put me in harms way with not releasing funds to direct deposit, has been using personal checks to pay my storages or not paying bills at all like my rent she even said in an email sent to me that she quit paying my rent on July 2024 until i got rid of having a payee March 2025 8 months of non-payment of rent thats $4.000 dollars and she claims she sent me money for my personal needs from what i've seen she didnt even set up a rent reserve and stating she paid my bills what the ones she didn't racking up hundreds of dollars in lien fees late fees not paying the balances due has had my storage unit sold due to her mis managing my SSI and all she had to pay was 3 storages and rent all aprox $848 but then her fee of $52 to mess up my life and have my property sold. then hardly return phone calls, lied and said she onlky uses business checks what i hold in my hand is her paying with personal checks to u-haul what i have to be responsible for irresponsible this is complete b.s and going to the SSA office in Brooklyn Center. Mn what a farce I felt like i was being interogated when i wanted to report theft of funds by a SSA Rep Payee . Do not by all means use this company thank god i didn have gas bill light bill, cable bill cause i cant imagine how that would have turned out . even worse i have been a client there since i was 22 so just how long has she been stealing SSA funds from me and i have never meet her. to think of the many people using this business is horrendous this need to be investagted but she sure will hurry and fix her ledgers to make you look like a lier and scream personal needs and dosent set up rent reserve mis-use of SSI funds and not one person even gov hasn't assisted in any way so whats that saying about the Social Security System .
