I attended Frontier School of the Bible from 2021–2023. I appreciated the friendships I made and the basic biblical knowledge I gained during my time there. However, my overall experience was difficult. I felt there was a strong sense of hierarchy and that disagreement with doctrine was not well received. The environment often felt very strict and heavily structured, with many lifestyle expectations that made it feel controlled. Socially, the atmosphere often felt judgmental and emotionally heavy. There was also noticeable immaturity and lack of social awareness among some students, which sometimes made interactions uncomfortable in the environment. I was publicly embarrassed during a chapel service. I look back on that now and realize how uncalled for that was. While I did gain some positive experiences, I would not personally recommend the school based on my experience due to the overall environment and how it impacted my time there.

This organization is completely unprofessional and lacks financial transparency. It operates more like a publicly funded hobby or private petting zoo than a legitimate charity. While claiming “sanctuary” status, it confines animals to inadequate enclosures that fail to replicate their natural environments. The animals are subjected to undue stress from constant public exposure and unnecessary transport—actions seemingly designed to promote the organization and solicit donations rather than prioritize animal welfare. I would not contribute a single cent to this group and instead recommend donating to a legitimate, vetted animal rescue that truly puts the needs of animals first.

I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the invaluable opportunity to serve as a Summer Research Intern with Native American Jump Start from June to October 2025. During my internship, I had the privilege of contributing to research projects centered on Native American education and employment. I particularly valued the collaborative experience with the Development & Marketing Coordinator and Chief Advancement Officer, which provided me with a comprehensive understanding of nonprofit organizational operations. The mission of Native American Jump Start, dedicated to fostering growth and success for Native Americans, is truly inspiring. I was consistently impressed by the passion, dedication, empathy, and support demonstrated by the organization. The knowledge and experience I gained, especially in educational collaborations, have profoundly impacted my personal and professional development.

I am deeply disappointed with my experience with WyomingCares. My son is currently on Wyoming Medicaid and has been battling a serious medical condition—a benign tumor in his head with a high regrowth rate. Despite the severity of his situation and our need for additional support, medicaid offers travel reimbursement of .26 cents a mile and because of that wyoming cares could not help. My funds are low I can't afford to pay <br>for additional things such as fuel, food, maintenance etc, plus being 100 miles from home 5 days a week and keep our home up and going, then wait for reimbursement!! <br> <br>As a parent, it is heartbreaking to see my child endure such challenges while struggling to find organizations willing to provide assistance. I had hoped WyomingCares would be a resource we could turn to during this difficult time, but unfortunately, they were unwilling to offer any help simply because of Medicaid travel reimbursement of .26 cents per mile. This feels unfair and dismissive of families who are already facing overwhelming emotional and financial burdens. <br>I urge WyomingCares to reconsider their approach and policies to ensure they can truly live up to their mission of caring for those in need. Families like mine deserve compassion and support, especially when dealing with life-altering medical conditions. <br>

Charities that fail to have an audit of their financial statements conducted annually put the public in a position to trust that what the charity is reporting about itself in its tax filings is accurate, consistent, comparable, and complete, which is often not the case. <br> <br>*It is unusual for a charity of this size to not have an audit of its finances conducted annually. Charities of this size and within this cause area are more likely to solicit donations nationally. If they do so, they are required to be registered in about 41 jurisdictions throughout the United States, with about half of these states requiring a charity to submit a copy of its audited financial statements annually as a condition of being allowed to solicit donations within those states’ borders. <br> <br>*Kindness Ranch Animal Sanctuary also fails CharityWatch’s benchmarks for Governance due to not having a sufficiently large board of directors and failing to maintain written conflict of interest, whistleblower, and document destruction and retention policies. Kindness Ranch not following these best practices amplifies CharityWatch’s concerns about its lack of an independent audit. <br> <br>Financial Information <br> <br>Kindness Ranch reports that it raised more than $1.9 million in donations in 2023, spending $449,084 to do so. This amount included $340,561 of "Direct Mailings [with postage]." <br> <br>Given that the charity did not have an independent audit of its financial activities conducted in 2023, in the opinion of CharityWatch, it is not possible to make a reliable judgment as to whether or not Kindness Ranch is using its donations efficiently and responsibly based on its 2023 tax filing. The online aggregator website, Charity Navigator, which is not a watchdog organization and which relies only on charities’ self-reported tax filings when computing a charity’s program percentage, assigned Kindness Ranch 3 out of 4 stars, or an overall 78% rating, despite the significant concerns CharityWatch has identified and described here. <br> <br>In its 2023 tax filing Kindness Ranch reports that its top three expenses consisted of “Other salaries and wages” of $529,696, all of which are reported as a program expense; “Insurance” of $245,488, all of which is reported as a program expense; and “All other expenses” of $456,463, of which $404,570 is reported as a program expense and $51,893 is reported as overhead. The charity reported “veterinarian fees” totaling $101,961 as a program expense. Included in reported fundraising expenses is $340,561 of “Direct mailings [with postage]; and $100,811 of “projects expense.”

During the past year, Northwest Health Care, inveested time and resources in board development to engage the volunteers governing the agency more actively in securing resources for the mission. These investments include directing prospects and donors to electronic giving--the most efficient, cost-effective way to support a nonprofit and its mission--through the transaction platform, Network for Good. Transitioning is very challenging. It is nice to know there’s a community wanting to help with open arms.

I had to make the difficult decision to find a more suitable retirement home for my anxious senior gelding. <br>I found Casa Ventosa online and reached out to inquire if they had the space and resources my guy would need to succeed. <br>Emma was always a prompt communicator and happy to share any information I was curious about. She was able to accommodate my horse last minute when a hopeful retirement home fell through and I was at a loss for where to take him. <br> <br>Since dropping him off, Emma has sent photos and updates and has taken the best care of him. He is visibly more happy and healthy than ever before. I was so relieved to see him thriving and at peace. <br>I’ve been able to visit him and check on him personally and it has really eased my mind knowing he has the best care. <br>Emma has even offered to help me with my new horse by providing advice, support and body work. <br> <br>I couldn’t be more thankful for Casa Ventosa, their mission, their passion and commitment to the horses. <br>Thank you so much for all that you do! <br>

Wondering why you ousted your executive director that lives with a disability and then refused to answer questions about it. <br><br>Eventually a convo needs to be had about representation in leadership of adaptive sports programs & whether y’all as an industry are truly about empowering community living with a disability or using us as a means to have a job and paying yourselves to have fun.

We had an amazing time at their fossil dig fundraiser! It was lots of fun and meeting the board members and volunteers was great . We can't wait to attend their next fundraiser and also meet the rescue horses! You can tell they really care about the horses and making a difference!

The Heart Mountain Wyoming Foundation is making a real difference in this country, utilizing the “Power of Place” to tell the story of over 14,000 Japanese Americans that were unjustly incarcerated in Wyoming during World War II. A world class museum now stands at the site, and construction of the new Mineta-Simpson Institute at Heart Mountain will begin soon to expand the foundation's ability to reach more people and help future leaders understand how memories of the past are relevant to today's political issues.

High impact organization that helps raise awareness and critical funds to provide safety, shelter and sustainability for orphans around the globe. 100% of their donations go directly to the programs, as a handful of large donors fund the minimal overhead costs. They are a shining example of how individuals can have a deep and meaningful impact globally.

Riot act is such a fun experience, the owner, Macey, is fun and generous with her company. She has made some of the many shows with riot act possible. I have made good friends there. Macey not only lends her business to make shows possible, she helps with the shows! Riot act is a safe space to me, riot act is a comfortable, fun environment.

We were delighted to find the Animal Adoption Center this past year, and to start working with them to increase visibility of affordable and accessible spay/neuter services! Their SPAY WYOMING page makes it very easy to find services throughout the state. We love AAC not only because they are there for animals in need, but because they are working hard to prevent problems - something many animal organizations do not do!

I volunteer tp transport when on comes my way (Philadelphia/Delaware/New Jersey area. Everything about this organization ia amazing. They are organized and very descriptive.<br>It is a pleasure to volunteer transporting for them.

I am moving to Sundance with my husband, Richard, in 2 weeks! We are both passionate about helping find solutions and assistance for those who are homeless or going through a rough time. This nonprofit is a group of doers! The first garden project at Big Horn was completed with sheer grit and determination and funds from the pockets of the founding members. As they have forged forward developing fundraising strategies, strategic planning and formal board training, they are moving in the right direction will achieve their goals to educate our youth about the importance of local food production.

What I love about Mimi's House , is that the program helps these unaccompanied teen homeless females have a worry-free environment where they learn basic needs - and they assist and inspire them with the hope that they build self sufficient lives. They are trying to break the cycle of homelessness in our community. As these young teens are focusing on surviving, they want to help shift the focus to thriving.

The Casper Family YMCA is wonderful. It is so welcoming and their swim staff (Stephanie) is the BEST! She honestly cares about everyone there and my kids love her. They are so lucky to have her there! I would have given them five stars, but there is a girl at the front desk (Risa) who is unfriendly every time we have been in.

I adopted a pet from Paws & Claws and was so impressed with the place that shortly after, I started volunteering. I drive over 100 miles round trip once a week to give my time to this amazing animal rescue. P&C is by far the cleanest most well organized animal rescue I've ever been in. And the dedicated volunteers are by far the best I've ever worked with. P&C provides for all the veterinary care our animals need. P&C is fully staffed with volunteers only, there are no paid staff there, and the volunteers work from 6am - past 8pm, 7 days a week caring for our animals. I have been a volunteer since 2013 and a board member since 2017.
