The JFD represents its members and community very well. Led by talented lay leaders, professional staff, and volunteer community members, it stays true to its mission and values. JFD excels in operational and financial controls. It continuously "kicks the tires' to test existing controls and improve both financial and operational results. JFD establishes performance goals and measures / reports performance against those goals. The organization works well with other community organizations and prides itself in doing both the big and little things well. This organization is the among the best of the best in non-profits. I volunteered with JFD for over twenty years in various capacities and am very proud of Federation's accomplishments across Delaware and the Greater Brandywine Communities.

The Siegel JCC is the heart of the Jewish Community in Wilmington, DE. It serves as a second home for all who use the J to go to preschool, attend camp, play pickleball and work out (amongst other activities). So many people in the community grew up there -- including the current governor and my children. The staff is friendly, committed and enthusiastic. Many staff members have worked at the J for decades. The CEO, Ivy Harlev, is incredible - she is the standard by which all non-profit CEO's should be measured (although they would undoubtedly fall short). Ivy never fails to welcome to the J everyone she sees, she has boundless energy and loves the JCC with an unwavering passion -- a passion she shares with members and non-members alike. You can feel the energy and welcoming spirit of the J as soon as you enter its doors. It is such a wonderful place and wholeheartedly a community center in the truest sense of the term.

Float UI is a powerful yet easy-to-use web development tool focused on modern design. It allows users with little or no design experience to build clean websites. The platform is fully open-source and available at no cost. Float UI provides a wide selection of reusable UI components. Each component is optimized for responsiveness and usability. Users can also choose from pre-designed website templates. These templates help launch projects quickly. The interface is simple and beginner-friendly. Customization options are flexible but easy to understand. Float UI reduces repetitive design work. It helps teams and individuals work more efficiently. The result is a polished and responsive website.

I lost my daughter to Cholangiocarcinoma on June 10, 2025. What I learned through her cancer journey is that awareness and research for this rare aggressive cancer. Team Cholangio under the leadership of Janet Meyer are fighting the fight and giving hope to survivors. I will continue to support this effort so other families will not share my loss.

Recently called about a pick up that wasn’t picked up due to weather. Spoke with a lady named Judi at 302-999-8434 who was quite honestly the most rude, unprofessional, and condescending person, I think I’ve ever spoken to! Why any company would employ such a deplorable customer service person is beyond me, this woman should not have a job with people! What a poor representation of a company that’s wonderful!

Freaking incredible. Wait, no, more like the experience of a lifetime. Or… I don’t think there are words to describe how amazing SSP is. As someone from a rural state with an honestly less than impressive background, being able to attend the 2025 program was an amazing opportunity that made me realize that the academic rigor presented was (somehow) manageable while simultaneously being challenging and fun. While I did have some downs, the amazing and caring faculty consisting of the professors and TA’s and Site Director literally blew anything else out of the water. Maybe I didn’t realize it then, but the ways that I grew over those 5 weeks—socially, academically, and personally—will forever be a part of my life and I’ll remain ever thankful for the opportunity SSP gave me. Cheers to the experience of a lifetime!

I met and fell in love with Harris. I applied for him. I also happened to mention him to my brother, who recently lost his beloved cat. He too was interested in Harris and applied. Since he is single, and has no other pets, I thought he would be the best candidate for Harris. No. Since we both applied, neither of us can adopt him. I have been involved in foster care for over 30 years and never dealt with this before. So beyond sad and disappointed that this wonderful boy won't be joining our family due to two of us applying. I have dogs and did not want to add stress to Harris since my brother has no other pets and is retiring soon. So, so sad.

For audiences of the documentary format, there is--even if they do not know it--no more important nonprofit than this alliance that advocates for sustainability of those whose voices and vision produce this content. DPA's role in advocacy and other best practices in compensation and equity, will contribute to the ongoing production of independent films. <br> <br>Volunteer time and energy brings the organization to this junction: the establishment of a fundraising model to provide for renewal and expansion of how the organization can become more effective in achieving results for its more than 600 members across the world. Pawrpose is dedicated to uniting communities in the shared mission of rescuing stray animals and providing them with loving homes. Our app offers a range of features to support this mission, including rapid real time alerts, automatic mapping to locate nearby animals in need, seamless adoption integration to streamline the process, tools for reporting issues and creating communities to further support animal welfare. Shelters gain invaluable support and visibility through our platform, while users have the opportunity to foster or adopt and also can contribute to the cause by supporting to shelters. <br>

Myositis Support and Understanding (MSU) is an exceptional non profit. I have been a member of MSU for a few years now, and decided to become a volunteer in January 2023. I was diagnosed with Juvenile Dermatomyositis when I was 7yrs old. Back then, there were no support groups to help people of any age. Not just with the physical aspect, but emotional trauma that comes with this disease. I'm now 48, and have been in a flare for a few years now. It was when I could no longer work and wondered if there were any support groups. That is when I found MSU. Even though I live in Canada (originally from Australia), MSU accepted me unconditionally. It was such a relief to meet people with similar complications of this disease, without judgement. MSU genuinely cares and is focused about people with myositis. In fact, MSU feels more like a family. MSU provides different types of support groups, a Financial Assistance Program, webinars, and so much more, with a strong committed focus on people. I have tried to be a part of other myositis organizations, but didn't feel the warm and genuine connection like I do with MSU.

The million mile project is such an amazing organization and has taught me so much through their mentorship program. Lauren has shown me unconditional love and support through my journey in recovery since returning home, her advice and listening ear have served as a beckon of hope and encouragement for me. I also attended their fundraising dinner which was very informative as far as what coming together as a community can do to help addicts and alcoholics recover and have a better life, as well as family member and loved ones affected also.

I have been a volunteer with Water is Life Kenya for 2 years. It is an incredible organization which has provided clean, sustainable water to 100,000 people in southern Kenya. They have also created sustainable agriculture training for the Maasai, have developed a program to support widows, and have employed artisans and families who create handcrafted jewelery and other items. This is all done with with our director and founder, Joyce Tannian, a program manager, a part time staff member in Delaware, along with our cofounder and several staff in Kenya. There is minimal overhead and administrative cost, with the majority of donations going directly to the programs and people in Kenya. It is a privilege to be a volunteer with this great organization

I have had the great pleasure and honor to have worked with the the leadership and wonderful volunteers of Charity Crossing since its earliest days. The growth and reach of Charity Crossing is nothing less than stellar! The teamwork is so impressive, and the joy they provide to those in need is immeasurable. They have earned the many accolades and official recognition they have received, and with their continued growth I expect to hear of many more!

I’m proud to support an organization that is making such a meaningful difference in the community. The AMC Museum will rival most any other Aviation Museum and IT IS FREE! The planes are very well maintained and most of them have a "story" to tell. They have guides to talk you through during your visit. Also, the 3rd Saturday of the months April through September they have several of their planes OPEN TO THE PUBLIC to get inside. You definitely will not be disappointed in visiting Delaware's most attended FREE exhibit in the State for the past MANY YEARS. The Museum is closed Monday and Tuesday. If passing through Delaware's Capital, Dover, plan to visit the AMC Museum. YOU will not be disappointed!!!

The NGO is doing great and I am very happy to be part of as a volunteer and seeing them growing is the best thing ever.

My mother has been going to Newark site for years and has been clean. Every time it comes for her to get bottles, they make up stupid reasons to keep her from getting them. She is disabled and has had liver cancer, part of her colon removed due to colon cancer and has had thyroid cancer. She has a pacemaker and can barely walk. She uses a walker to the Best of her ability. She is on the methadone for pain. She suffers every second of every day and they are making her come every day to get dosed. It's a miracle that my mother is still alive and this Newark site and the treatment that this clinic staff has been showing her is what will kill her. Just the stress and anxiety alone that they put upon her has affected her health (physically and mentally).My mom has bowel issues due to the colon cancer and last Saturday the nurses refused to allow her to use the bathroom. The bathrooms (2) of them were both fine. We took transportation and didn't have any opportunity to get to another place for her to use. She was suffering from IBS and diarrhea and that's something that is I think would be an emergency reason. Although, the nurse that denied the use of the bathroom didn't show her face just simply told the dosing nurse that she wasn't allowed to use the bathroom on the weekends. So my mother messed on herself as we were walking out the building to wait for our ride. The Newark clinic nursing staff are inhumane and disrespectful.

I fostered a pit bull with grass roots. They didn't tell me the dogs background and pushed that this dog would be amazing for me. I should add that I have an 8 year old and a small dog in my home that the rescue knows about. This pitbull comes from a very abusive background and never should have been placed in my home. <br><br>My oldest is 23, she walked him to his crate and took off his leash and as he was walking in he suddenly turned around and with no warning he went after my small dog. He grabbed her by the face and held her neck bitting hard into her skin and shook her violently from side to side. My daughter put her hands in his mouth desperately trying to to force his jaws open and he drug her and the dog back to his crate. My daughter isn't a small person that's easy to move btw! He almost had them in his crate when my husband ran up and grabbed his neck and pulled him out of the crate and somehow managed to get the pitbull to release our small dog. We were then able to grab her to safety and they got the pitbull in his crate and locked the door. <br><br>I have screenshots showing what happened. The rescue paid the emergency vet fee but refused to pay any further care as my dog healed days later she had more problems and needs vet care. The rescue doesn't care. <br><br>If you get involved with this rescue be extremely careful! They don't care about you, anyone in your home or any animals in your home. They happily state they are not responsible for any injuries or damages to you, your family, other pets ECT. <br><br>They do not know how to behavior test animals, DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH THEM. I'm trying to figure out how to pay my latest vet appointment for our dog. I reported them to animal control in DE. I hope they get stopped before their dogs hurt or kill someone.

I was looking for daycare for my grandkids and saw this facility and it brought back so many memories with Ms Jamie Johnson who had my children for over ten years and done an exceptional job with my children education behavior and Bible lessons. The were well taken care of and I was very satisfied with her and so were my kids. Even on weekends my kids wanted to go to Ms Jamie's. I see her from time to time and always ask her about starting daycare again. Love her.

This rescue is passionate about saving animals, and has a great foster and transport network that facilitate adoptions to great homes! <br>

Let us remember these young ones of ours, our children, if you are touched you can visit them and see them and greet them and also if you want no. We are supporting children in various education levels: Kindergarten, primary,secondary levels and some university level, As per now we are proud despite all ups and downs we have managed to educate - <br>1 quantity surveyor <br>3 Electricians <br>1 Blacksmith <br>2 salonist & beutucians <br>1 admisntrator <br>1 pilot <br>1 Aeronotic engineer <br>1.Plant operator/driver <br>1 Music artist and <br>1 girl doing ICT <br> <br> <br>we have 1 girl who scored grade B she has to join university but we still lack sponsorship for her. <br> <br>1boy is yet to do electrical wiring. <br> <br>1 girl is also waiting to join salon and beauty college but the challenge still remains funds are not on our side. <br> <br>we have also 1physical handicaped child he cant walk, we have been sending him to a Mombasa hospital, he got a referal to a Nairobi hospital doctors are doing their best to manage his situation but it is also quit expensive however we have made a bigger step regarding his medical <br> <br>Due to very taugh economy in Kenya almost everything is now sold at double price, we are going through cevere financial crisis at the orphanage, we are calling upon sponsors and donors / well-wishers to help us facilitate the day to day running of the home. <br> <br>The home has been operating without sufficient donors, we have been relying on wellwishers who visit at times once or twice in life time to donate food, chothes and some help to pay maybe one or 2bills <br> <br>The children have alot of needs like food, medical, school fees, clothing, salaries for staff, house rent and utilities. <br> <br>This has not been quit easy to operate without finances but we started a small layer chicken project at least in a day we are able to collect 1 to 3 trays of eggs that can assist in solving small matters, one challange with this project is feeding the chicken and protect them from infections so sometimes we end up using their own production to feed them since the project is still small with 50layers. <br> <br> It is our wish to have this project expanded so that we can be self relient. <br>It is also our prayer to have our own houses instead of renting. As per the new policies the government recomendetion is for children to be raised in foster care programs and have life as families and not institutions, this means they should have life as a community instead where by one mother goes to live with a few number of children and they become her children, another mother given some few children and live with them as her own this will require us build about 6 family houses but slowly slowly, The house we are shall remain as a rescue centre and a donation centre and the office as well but it will be wise to have the center in our own land where we will not pay Rent as well, it is also our wish to have boreholes and solar panels to avoid paying high water and electricity bills. Not so soon but the government is bringing new regulations that children's home will be converted to rescue or something else in order to serve children in better way. That why they have come with foster care and adoption option so that kids can be brought up family manner . With mother and father figure in the house . Foster care will be renewed every year for two years then you can get adoption easy way then adoption is life program that child will be yours . As orphanage we are thinking to construct two house then we start with our staff members to do foster care program. We are having our first training on for foster care program then we get registered for foster care this will mean even after closure of homes can still run as foster institution.Hallo Family.
