Solari isn’t in the top 3 best places to work, according to the Phoenix Business Journal, for no reason. There are wonderful benefits, a leadership team that truly cares, employees who love the role they play in their community, and fulfillment from this job like no other. This company is always looking for ways to make sure their employees feel valued and heard. They make Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion a top priority. Solari prioritizes their workers feelings of safety and inclusion and investigate any claims that may indicate otherwise, where most companies you can’t bring forth those concerns, Solari truly does care and addresses them immediately. This company not only talks the talk, but walks the walk. In a day and age of performative action, it’s refreshing where a company investigates safety and inclusion no matter which position the claim is against and acts accordingly. Their DE&I approach and continued training makes employees feel safe, respected, and connected.

Additionally, I have never worked for a company that prioritized my well being and mental health than leadership I’ve got to work with at Solari. They have helped me unlearn the toxic habits from other jobs and truly make me feel my well being is most important. They recognize we can’t do the amazing work we do for the community if we aren’t ok. You are never made to feel bad for a mental health day or asking for help, and additionally provided the resources by that very same leadership team.

Lastly, the leadership and team I work on does not micromanage and the work from home ability is incredible. They truly make a work life balance one that is realistic and achievable.

I can’t say enough great things about this company and hope to get to remain here and inspire hope for our community for the rest of my working career.

I am continuing my volunteerism for this organization for many years now and the mission aligns with my personal vision. We work with the cooperation of the Tonto National Forest Service on education to the general public about responsible off-highway vehicle use and resource conservation. Our volunteer's help to improve and maintain designated roads and trails used by off-highway vehicles within the Tonto National Forest. We educate the public on how to maintain the beauty of the Forest and how to properly clean up after themselves. We spend countless hours cleaning up after people that continue to litter through shooting through just dumping garbage. We have struggled with funding that goes toward tools we use and items we rent like tractor trailer dumpsters used for us to fill with the garbage we collect during our cleaning so they can be hauled away. This cost alone takes it's toll on the funds we collect. We also post signs and kiosk to assist in navigation of off-highway persons. This is a big help to all that travel these roads to know where they are, how far they are from an exit in the event of an emergency and to provide for them to feed information to emergency crews to aid them in finding them if need be.

The passion all the volunteers have is outstanding and the numbers are growing. There is a large amount of work that we take on and the grant money helps fund our volunteers by providing tools to complete the required work. We would like to thank those that provide funding toward our cause.

As a Member of the Board of Directors, I am very proud of what Tigermountain Foundation has accomplished to help teens-at-risk in a poor neighborhoods of South Phoenix by engaging them in cultivating vegetables in four, at present, community gardens that are located on formerly vacant lots. In addition, TMF has helped many former prisoners learn some job and life skills with part-time work on landscaping contracts. The recidivism rate for former prisoners in this neighborhood is 81%, but almost none of the former prisoners who have worked with TMF have returned to prison.

Tigermountain Foundation just rented space at the Brooks Community School, a former elementary school in the Roosevelt School District. That space is now being used as an office and a meeting room. The next step will be to engage a large group of neighborhood teenagers to build and cultivate a large new vegetable garden on what used to be the athletic field of that former school. TMF has applied for two grants to finance the initiation of that garden.

The sale of vegetables from the TMF gardens to a local restaurant and at several Farmers Markets brings in over half of the revenue that TMF needs to continue operations since it was founded in 2007. But donations and grants have played an important role in funding after-school gardening programs and other classes for the local children and teenagers.

St Luke's Health Initiatives offered and signed an agreement with TMF in 2014 to serve as the Fiscal Sponsor for TMF. This has already opened the door for TMF to apply for more grants.

My name is Victoria Lewis and I am a small business owner in the state of Arizona that has been suffering greatly. At so the step, the the system and systemic racism horrifying non lending of small businesses that are double minorities. And I was just horrified but the level of treatment that I received from this this. Disgusting firm;

Title: A Disappointing Encounter: Review of the Arizona Microcredit InitiativeI recently reached out to the Arizona Microcredit Initiative seeking assistance for my struggling small business. What ensued was not only disappointing but also deeply troubling.Upon contacting them and spending over half an hour on the phone, I expected guidance and support tailored to the unique challenges faced by small businesses like mine. Instead, I was met with blatant racism, horror, and disgust. The representative provided nothing more than what any standard bank would require for a loan application, completely disregarding the complexities of my situation.As a small business owner grappling with severe underfunding, disability, and vulnerability, I had hoped for empathy and constructive feedback. However, the Arizona Microcredit Initiative failed miserably in this regard. Their lack of understanding and support left me feeling even more marginalized and victimized.It is appalling that an organization purportedly dedicated to assisting struggling businesses would exhibit such callousness and incompetence. Their failure to provide genuine assistance only serves to exacerbate the challenges faced by small business owners in Arizona.In conclusion, the Arizona Microcredit Initiative is nothing more than a sham, offering empty promises and replicating the same requirements as traditional banks without providing any real help or support to those who need it most.

We got to know AZBCR (www.azbcr.org) purely by chance. In the summer of 2012, we lost our beloved BC Stray Sage. My husband was so depressed, he started looking for a dog right away and he found one through AZBCR. Long story short, Lou joined our family 2 weeks later. Lou's foster parents are wonderful people who really understand the herding breeds. We became friends and 2.5 years later adopted our Malibu through them. I became a volunteer and joined AZBCR's FB page so we can be part of the greater AZBCR family. Through this, we get to know more about its volunteers and also the group's President Kelly Q. On the daily basis, among all the funny antidotes and cute pictures, volunteers actively rescue, transport, foster, and place border collies with whom they come in contact. Earlier in 2016, AZBCR took in many pregnant female BCs, they had about 50 puppies in various foster homes in the first month! Foster homes and volunteers all helped in whatever ways they could to birth, raise, and place all the dogs. Currently (Mar-Apr) they have dogs with medical issues in different stages of treatments. Through the years, AZBCR have rescued and adopted out 2100+ dogs and they did it entirely with volunteers. AZBCR, once committed to take in a dog, does everything possible to give it a good life. Their foster homes usually keep a dog for at least 2 weeks and to get to know their charges well, so they can properly match a potential adopter with a compatible dog. They also use that 2 weeks to work with the dog, if conditions allow, so it learns as many basic commands and good-dog-manners as possible before it is adopted. I have adopted pets from various organizations throughout the years, AZBCR is the most dedicated and caring group of people I have gotten to know. Thanks to social media, it brought these like-minded folks together because they share the love for BCs. Their passion and their love have saved countless dogs throughout the years, I am very happy to have been part of it.
