I have been a long-time supporter of both Habitat for Humanity and the Alzheimer's association--2 fantastic organizations serving to bring relief to different segments of society. But IDA is an amazing organization attempting to help folks who suffer similarly but are in fact "invisible" to most of the rest of society. I strongly support IDA, its mission and Wayne Connel its founder and leader. Please give today!

RMCR is the best! I've adopted 5 Cocker Spaniels from them over the past 13 years. All of the dogs are given medical attention, quality food, and lots of love in a foster home while they await the chance to meet their fur-ever family. All of the Cockers that I've adopted from RMCR have been wonderful family members, sweet as can be, and very appreciative of the second chance at life that RMCR has given them!

Promise Ranch has been the best non-profit I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with. So many caring people, loving families and happy riders who benefit in so many ways from the expertise of therapists, volunteers and the magic of a herd of very special horses. Great local charity in Denver. All the proceeds go to the children. Covid-19 has put a lot of stress on many families. If you are able to donate and help a child do it!

This organization provides a variety of support services for those of us that have experienced the loss of a child. I live no where near Colorado and they have included my daughters name in several of their ceremonies. For me and her father, it's so nice to have people remember her name and her existence.

As a clinical social worker and cancer survivor, I can attest to the important work done by Hope Held by a Horse.<br><br>This organization changes the lives of women who have experienced cancer.

Humanity Corps actually helps! I have seen the work done here and know it applies directly to the needs of helping those kids in Ecuador.

This place was so amazing! my friend and i came here for a school project awhile back and we kept coming! they are so nice there and the animals are really cute and we get to work with them. In the mornings they walk all the animals down the street. I really recommend this place to everyone!

Each and every person at this organization is open, kind, friendly, and has open arms to welcome you and your kiddo and see how they can help. Whatever the problem you have or help you need, someone is available to work it out with you. The solutions and responses are immediately forthcoming. If the whole world were like these staff members there would be no problems. This is my happy place!

I was there to get food for my family. The man who now runs parker task force steeve I believe not only did he refuse us easter baskets for our kids he then told me he will no longer help my family and he doesn't like my kind. What does that mean can someone explain..he said it in front of other people getting food services..I am baffled and can't believe it.

I have a kindergartner and a third-grader at PPA right now. I love this school. For my son's kindergarten and first grade years, we drove 45 minutes from North Denver to attend, and then we moved out here in 2020. <br><br>Each classroom not only has a teacher but also has a teacher's assistant, so there’s additional help in the classrooms, and a lot of schools do not have that. They also have the same teacher for two years, so the teacher knows your child, and your child has a great relationship with their teacher. I love that they get to do tumbling, music theater, art, and music as well as math, literacy, science, and social studies. <br><br>The school's culture is unparalleled; we have great rates of diversity and a culture of acceptance. I love that I get emails from both the administration and my kid's teachers weekly with updates. <br><br>Not everything is sunshine and rainbows, we had a bullying situation in first grade, but the way it was handled was beyond impressive. The administration immediately called me, the kids were spoken with, and it was taken. The admins then checked in with my son and me two days later and again two weeks later. <br><br>I adore the performances and how they make everything tie together both academically and with the arts. The school is K through eight, which is a really big deal to me because I had to move a lot as a child. Now I know that my kids are going to have the same community for basically the first nine years of their life. And even though the school goes K through eight, it still has about the same amount of students as a typical elementary school, and every single one of those teachers in that school knows my children and cares for them.

The Gift of Giving<br><br>In 2009 I studied abroad at the University of Ghana, Legon where I took classes and lived on campus for 6 months. During that time I not only took inspiring History of Africa and social work classes and met incredible people, but I also volunteered at an elementary school where I got to immerse myself in a Ghanaian First Grade classroom every week. <br><br>It was difficult for me to say goodbye to the people and experiences of Ghana and for years I wanted to reconnect with the country I loved so much. In 2011, I got the opportunity to join the board of a small nonprofit called Ghana Educational Collaborative whose mission it is to provide financial support to exceptional students with significant financial need. As a teacher myself, I feel very strongly about GEC's belief in education as a gateway for endless opportunity and the notion that every child around the world deserves access to education as a right. <br><br>For 4 years I have fundraised to support the 11 students in the GEC program. For my birthday this year, I decided to throw a fundraiser for GEC, charging friends and loved ones $20 at the door, with all proceeds going to GEC. I was rather uncomfortable with the idea of asking my underpaid teacher friends to donate their hard earned money, but I figured if everyone was able to give a little, we could hopefully raise enough money to send at least 1 of our students through another year of school. <br><br>In the end, I was overwhelmed by the outpouring of support from my peers who, as I said, make very little money themselves. We were able to raise enough money to send our spotlighted student Emmanuel, through at least 2 years of middle school. Emmanuel is such a hard working, hilarious, and kindhearted individual, and it was an honor to focus my birthday on the gift of giving. <br><br>http://www.ghanaedcollaborative.org

This is a great, Independant, Fundamental, Baptist church who believes in traditional values and music. They serve the public/community with a very good food bank a few times each week that meet the needs of over a hundred families in Christian service and in the public. The church itself has a membership base of around 150 on average. They try to use every means possible within their means to reach out to the unsaved to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His saving grace and free gift of eternal life. <br> <br>Your support will go to help support their outreach ministries as well and, I'm sure, will be greatly appreciated. I attended a 5 day intensive in Colorado where we were treated amazingly by the host and counselors. I am grateful that a ministry such as this one is available to pastoral couples and missionaries. What I didn't know was they have retreat centers all over the world. We can't say enough about the love, integrity and confidentiality of this ministry!

I have been involved with the Miracle Party Foundation for 6 years! The Miracle Party hosts a party for cancer/blood disorder children once a year. It is MORE than just a party! These kiddos are treated like the superstars they are! Attendance for the children, family, doctors, etc. is completely free of charge! <br> <br>We provide food, live entertainment, face painting, jump castles, games, silent auction, and much, much more! The smiles that the Miracle Party provides to our children is priceless!! My granddaughter, Nataly, is a survivor! She was diagnosed at the tender age of 6 months old. She endured 2.5 years of intense treatment and today is a happy, healthy 5 year old that just started Kindergarten! This will be her 6th Miracle Party coming up on 9/20/14!! <br> <br>Please consider donating to this amazing organization!! The Greater Parker Foundation is supporting the Parker Arts, Culture & Events Center, a much-needed facility in south Denver. This new center will allow for growth in art and culture, but also tourism, retail sales and restaurant business. I chose to donate because I want to help this organization use arts to enhance this community.
