My Military Kid organization goes over and beyond for their Patriots and their family. They will always remind me whenever it's time to reapply. They're always checking in on us, They provide us with resourceful information throughout the year. Last year we did miss the summer program because I waited until the last minute to apply but I assure you she tried her best. They are simply apart of our family forever and we are so so grateful to be apart of an organization that understands our pain, sacrifices, fallen soldiers, caregivers and veterans . I ran an AI tutoring project within one of CCFs schools. Working with CCFs stem department was great, it was clear that each decision made was focused around the kids and how to provide them the best opportunity in education too. The wider CCF team were all incredibly friendly and accommodating to help me set up my visa and had the resources I needed to carry out the Pilot with them.

They had great energy and were amazing during our volunteer time. We packed 800 boxes in the pantry and it was a great experience overall.

I am proud to be a Board Member of the Callaway County United Way, our board takes business seriously and we do our very best to be good stewards of the monies donated to the United Way. We have an awesome director who goes above and beyond her role to make sure our United Way stays connected with the community. We also reach out to work with the agencies to collaborate efforts amongst agencies to ensure our dollars are most effective.

Getting my first pair of bunnies from here was such an amazing experience from start to finish. They were incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, answered all of my questions, and made everything feel so smooth and stress free. You can truly tell how much they care about their animals and about making sure new owners feel confident and prepared. Even after bringing my bunnies home, they’ve continued to be helpful and supportive whenever I’ve had questions. I’m so grateful for all their guidance and kindness along the way. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience getting my bunnies, and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for healthy, well loved rabbits and genuinely caring people!

My bookstore experienced a devastating fire and I applied for assistance with BINC. I received quick contact from BINC and the assistance was above and beyond what I thought I would receive. In a time when cash flow was tight (especially while waiting for my insurance to come through), BINC helped my store stay afloat. I am so grateful for BINC being an incredible resource to the bookstore industry.

Honestly there are better places to donate to if you want to support veterans, give to them these people don't care about us.

They set up a booth on the only road to exit our middle school, so it's busy at pickup!...and they bring donuts. Kids are darting in front of cars to get donuts. They are literally teaching it's ok to take candy from strangers. on a busy road. ...dangerous! AND they've been asked to stop this at another nearby school, so they should know better..but apparently it's a winning tactic. Some of the donuts are seriously the size of a frisbee. This is nutzo behaviour. It's luring and predatory. I've let the cops know, this is not acceptable.

Two weeks after I turned 55 (the average age of widowhood), my husband died, leaving me to raise two teenagers. I went to a bereavement group and sought counseling. But it was Soaring Spirits that really helped get my feet back under me. At Camp Widow I met other widows - some younger, some older. We all shared a tremendous loss and immediately bonded over our common experience. Being with other widows turned out to be the best way for me to heal on my widow journey. I commend Michele Neff Hernandez for seeking out other widows and founding an organization that benefits many of us to this very day.

Both my sons went to Okizu when they were younger. Attending summer camp was great for both of them for different reasons. My son who had cancer when he was 8 started going at the end of his treatment and I truly believe that it helped him deal with this life-changing illness. My other son attended SIBS camp, one of the few organizations that address the kids who sometimes end up with less…attention, gifts, parents focus. SIBS camp was wonderful for his confidence and he made close friends, as we did also. I continue to give to Okizu at least once a year and my son has been in remission for nearly 30 years! They need donations even more since the wonderful camp burned to the ground in one of the many wildfires suffered a couple of years ago.

Being part of Vibha has been a deeply fulfilling experience for me. I’ve seen how even small initiatives can create meaningful change when there’s passion, collaboration, and trust at the core. From working with dedicated volunteers to witnessing the impact of projects on the ground, Vibha truly proves that collective effort can transform lives and communities. It’s beyond an organization, it’s a movement of hope, empathy, and action.

F.R.I.E.N.D.S. Rescue & Sanctuary is a "die hard" rescue. If you want to learn and see if horses are for you this is a great place to get started. We work and then we play is heard often. You will learn as much as you want too, all you have to do is ask. Volunteers are the "backbone" of the organization and the staff and management know it, and recognize it by always saying "thank you". It is a fun place with an upbeat vibe. The horses are beautiful and they all have their own personalities.

I give to AAUW every year and renew my membership as I strongly believe in their mission of advancing equity for women and girls. AAUW's staff are hard-working, members are passionate and their work is critical. In particular - my passion lies in higher education and pay equity. AAUW's work in both of those spaces continues to be strong. They have been supporting women's graduate education since 1888, awarded over $6M in fellowships and grants this past year, and have trained thousands of women in salary negotiation. I'm incredibly proud to be affiliated with AAUW!

Friends of Saguaro National Park (FOSNP) has been providing support to Saguaro National Park since 1996 when it was the Saguaro National Monument. Since 1998 my wife and I have admired and supported the work of FOSNP. FOSNP’s community outreach, educational programs and especially the Next Generation Ranger Program are outstanding and have profoundly improved the experience of park visitors. The NextGen program in particular has provided opportunities for young students to work in the U.S. National Park Service locally and explore career opportunities with federal land management agencies nationwide. Park staff and volunteers have benefitted from the support provided, which has made their work more productive and enjoyable. My wife and I live a short distance from Saguaro National Park East, and we love hiking in and experiencing the wonders of the Park, a national treasure made even better by the work of FOSNP.

For 27 years Barth Syndrome controlled everything I did, as physical activities had to be modified to save my limited energy.  Now, 8 years on the drug, the improvements in my strength, energy and quality of life is why I am living the life I could only dream about before. As I told the Commissioner of the FDA, “If someone were to ask me today if I have the symptoms of Barth syndrome, I would say no, I had the symptoms of Barth syndrome.” The drug has been particularly beneficial for infants that have been put on it for emergency use, at a time when they needed it the most. Thankfully because of a special program they’ll continue to have access to the drug, as it has truly saved their lives. I want to thank everyone, especially BSF who has worked so hard—year after year—to make this possible. You will always have a very special place in my heart and life.

Honor Society is a fantastic organization for people who are a part of a college/university. Not only has this organization offered me (and others) several scholarship opportunities, but they also have actually rewarded me with a legitimate scholarship.

I volunteered with A Broader View for two months with the Women’s Empowerment Program in Cusco. I chose to volunteer with this nonprofit after completing my social work degree where I focused my studies and work with domestic violence and with refugees and immigrants (where I was able to practice my Spanish a lot). During my program, I ended spending time with the women and kids at the center in order to provide them with extra emotion support and friendship. I spent a lot of time talking with the older and middle aged women, dancing with the younger girls, reading, joking around, having interesting conversations, cooking, and loads of other things! I had the joy of getting very close to several of them and equally so the joy of being able to call them my friends. <br>I remember one day going into one of the girl's rooms finding her tearful, with a book in her bed. I asked her if she was feeling sad to which she replied, “yes”. She did not want to talk about why specifically she was sad, but I asked her if she would like to read the book to which she also replied “yes”, and we read the book all day. I taught her new words and encouraged her reading, even when it took her 45 minutes to finish the entire page. From this, I was able to watch her spirits and confidence rise and she has been practicing her reading every day since. <br>I spent a total of three days on a tour to Puno and spent the night on the floating islands. Puno was amazing because it encapsulated culture, landscapes, and great hike all in one trip, and, on top of that, I made several wonderful friends! While at Puno I took a boat ride on Lake Titicaca which was far vaster than any lake I had ever been on. During our boat ride, we made stops at the floating island including the Uros island. I found the Uros island completely captivating because the materials which were on the island were unlike anything I typically see in the States.

They do incredible work! The dogs get great care at their facilities in Thailand. I had the honor of transporting 13 to the US for adoption. The whole process was so smooth. Everything was organized and way easier than I thought it would be.

They stopped being a non profit in 2018. Did not tell the volunteers til after they already paid and discovered issues and were on site in the country volunteer site. No longer tax deductible. I do not believe they are in business. I was injured due to them in 2018 and won the court case in 2021 but received nothing because they disappeared
