I was at a Veteran event when Logan came and presented BTH and the organization. It's great to see a younger gentleman working towards his goals.

Insensitive staff member accused me of making up my story, insinuating that I didn't care about the cat I was trying to re-home, the cat that I fostered for a suicidal friend that can't take him back. Their accusations were insulting and irresponsible. They don't care about you or your pet. They just want an excuse to feel self righteous superiority. Go anywhere else.

I personally know three dogs that wouldn't have had a chance but this wonderful organization changed their paradigms and three entire family's lives for the better. I am in awe of what these folks do. If the foster mom feels that someone isn't a perfect match, then please reapply at a later date with a different dog. They are not trying to please the public just the dogs and their FOREVER family. Do not take the foster's position personally not every dog fit every perspective owner and the foster mom knows the dog better then you do.

Animal House in Mechanicsburg PA is an amazing non-profit dog rescue. After losing our Family's Shepard-Lab mix after 17 years 4 months I was totally not ready for another strong emotional attachment. She had a great life and helped raise the kids. I reluctantly went (tricked into going) to Animal House Rescue where the caring and helpful staff completely understood my feelings. They coached me through the process and we found a wonderful family friend who was a joy. I had forgotten all the good and the happiness pets bring to you. I could not ask for a better group to help our family...well really me.

Pennsylvania is fortunate to have dozens of hiking trails of varying length and challenge. The flipside of that abundance and opportunity is the necessity of maintaining those many trails. Some trails, for example the Appalachian, with several maintaining clubs, the North Country Trail, likewise with a couple maintaining clubs, and the Laurel Highlands Hiking Trail, with a cadre of volunteer “ridge runners” (including this writer), all have dedicated groups maintaining and promoting those paths. Many trails, however, are not so fortunate as to have a dedicated maintenance group(s). <br> Enter the Keystone Trails Association (KTA). The KTA ranges far and wide in its efforts to ensure quality hiking in PA, tending, for example, continuously and doggedly to major upkeep/building projects such as the Mid-State Trail (Great Eastern Tr.) or, smaller scale, to cutting in a short trail in the Bear Run Nature Reserve. Beyond an impressive maintenance schedule — statewide — the KTA also and importantly does critical advocacy work, helping protect trails from the irrevocable damage of gas drilling, logging and other insults to the heritage of the citizens of PA. <br> Without exception, my work with the dedicated army of volunteer members of KTA has proven my good fortune. These are motivated, exceptionally hard-working and trail savvy people, selflessly ensuring that others might have priceless outdoor moments. <br> Pennsylvania is politically established as a commonwealth. And, indeed, the splendid hiking trails of PA are common wealth. Except for those trails noted — and a few others — those with dedicated maintenance groups, many trails in PA would, without the herculean efforts of KTA, become ragged to impassible. KTA, along with like organizations, takes the lead in protecting that common wealth.

Pennsylvania Association for the Blind has received accreditation from the National Accreditation Council for Blind and Low Vision Services (NAC). NAC is the only accrediting body that solely focuses on standards and best practices for blind and low vision services with the consumer in mind. Pennsylvania Association for the Blind has demonstrated that it meets or exceeds the standards set by NAC for delivery of blind and low vision services. The determination for accreditation is a rigorous process that involves self-examination by the organization, an on-site peer review to verify processes and procedures by a team of professionals serving in the field and a review of the findings by the NAC Accreditation Committee. NAC congratulates Pennsylvania Association for the Blind on its accredited status.

Excellent youth baseball organization for children in Mechanicsburg School District and Upper Allen Township. Little league ages 5-12 and teener ages 13-16.

Extremely important that everyone understands the work being done here through our ministry. The costs involved to be able to minister publicly for these pastors and churches prohibits them otherwise to reaching out to the remote villages. <br> <br>I encourage everyone who has interests in helping to learn more about partnering with our ministry so we may grow and help ordain even more christian ministers for the people of the Philippines.

Once a month the Mechanicsburg Museum hosts a "Lunch & Learn" on a Wednesday afternoon and a "Sunday at Museum Square" lecture series. They have had some really interesting guest speakers on a variety of subjects. This month (April) their "Sunday" guest speaker will talk about being a teenager in Germany during WWII. I'm looking forward to this event.
