After our dear Daisy passed away we have adopted another hound from ABTCR. The foster drove over 500 miles one way to ensure she would be able to get to her loving home. In the 9 years that we have been involved with this rescue we have been able to get involved with transport to help other hounds get to their loving homes as we love this rescue and try to support them as much as they support the hounds, both those in foster homes and those that have been adopted.

An amazing organization that genuinely cares about the youth and the families they serve.

StarkFresh is doing extraordinary things in the heart of its community. I have never been surrounded by such caring, friendly people, doing so many positive activities for others at once, as when I am involved in StarkFresh. I enjoy being a part of something so big and with such a positive impact. Looking forward to even more growth!

Friends of Stark Parks is an all-volunteer organization that supports the mission of the Stark County Park system. We raise money through memberships and fundraisers to support Stark Parks’ Wildlife Conservation Center, and projects not funded in the Stark Parks’ budget. One focus is several projects to provide access to the parks and water trails for individuals with developmental disabilities. 100% of donations directly support Stark Parks.

I have 3 children involved in the program and it has literally been the answer to my prayers. After Covid interrupted their academic journey, traditional high school did not seem to be the right fit. At first I enrolled my oldest son who was in danger of not graduating again due to the Covid slump, after a few days of seeing how he responded to the program, I asked to enroll my other son. It was the best thing I could have done for them in the past few years. Once my daughter reached the age of 16 she enrolled as well. The values and skills they have been taught is immeasurable. My three children are now high school graduates, as well as productive, employable members of society all because of the program. It takes a village and I am truly glad Project Rebuild has become part of ours.

My mother belonged to this church for many years. Hope Outreach donates food and clothing to anyone in need. Their doors are open to all and feed over 1,000 people weekly. Even though I am Catholic I contribute time to this organization who embody Christian values and charity.

This is the most unorganized company out there. All or most of supervisor and directors are not professionals. Been in this field for nearly 40yrs and could tell u that from my time there they have no idea what they are doing. If there is un issue with something dont go to management! They dont like it (must be there for the money only) because if you have to many questions which they percieve as starting trouble you will be fired. Not by manegment but by other staff because management is un professional there.

This company is a rip off . They bought our pipeline , never maintained it and now abandoning it. It is a shell company. We will be left with no service as of june 1 2020.

This organization was wonderful they went above and beyond they granted my sons wish and coordinated with the wwe and made it an unbelievable experience one he will never forget

Once upon a time there was a 12 year old girl in foster care in Robertsville. She was scared, confused and lost. She missed familiar surroundings so her case worker found a family in Canton that opened their home as a foster home and she was their first foster child. She was abused from the first week of her arrival. The second to oldest son would corner her in parts of the house and grab her breast and twist her nipple hard. She was embarrassed and ashamed even though she knew it wasn't her fault, but didn't know what to do. She tried to avoid him by taking her showers down in the basement where the two oldest sons stayed because he would not violate her around witnesses, which led to her overhearing the adults talking about how she "always seemed to want to be around the older boys", like I had a crush or something. No, I just knew I was safe there. I am a real person, my name is Kathy Geraghty and I am willing to take any lie detector test or any other test to prove that this is completely factual. I live here in Canton and relive his abuse of me, involuntarily, at least once a week if not more. Was anyone else molested by him? Speak up--enough of people getting away with violating forgotten children.

Wonderful group of people who love to sing and make a difference. This is a dedicated group of singers under the tutelage of Christine Allison who is following a dream and has made it a reality. We are an group of volunteer singers who perform year round for causes in our community who could use an extra monetary or moral support. We have made a difference in many lives through our singing and fundraising. It has personally made a difference in my life, reintroduced me to more musi, formed deeper friendships and I feel that in a very small way contributed to some worthy causes in our community.

I am consistently amazed by how much of an impact this ministry makes on the lives of people in our community. Not only do families have the opportunity to purchase a home with Habitat, they get the tools to be successful homeowners too! Beyond that, volunteers have a space to share their talents with the community all while learning new skills! Habitat is a place of partnership and hope.

Kyke's Wish has not filed necessary paper work with proper government departments since 2011, yet continue to request donations from unsuspecting individuals. There is no proof this "charity" is upholding it's promises of helping children in hospitals. To donate to this organization would possibly be donating to fraudulent or scamming individuals. Please heed this warning before you donate to any group that does not have proper documentation of the usage of monies donated. ABCD,INC was organized 42 yrs ago as an outgrowth of the Community Developers Program of the United Methodist Church and was initially known as Advocates of Black Community Development [ ABCD]. Arts in Stark has done wonders for Canton,Ohio. Creating an "arts district" in a underutilized downtown area is one of the things they are responsible for. There are now several galleries and working artist studio spaces in the area as well as restaurants and bars. They host "First Friday" which is an event that happens the first Friday of each month and encompasses all of the arts. <br>They also have educational programs for children and adults. <br>For more info go to artsinstark.com

THIS IS A VERY REPUTABLE ORGANIZATION THAT I HAVE BEEN ASSOCIATED WITH SINCE IT'S BEGINNINGS. AS BOTH A VOLUNTEER, BOARD MEMBER AND VETERINARY CARE PROVIDER. THESE DOGS ARE THOROUGHLY SCREENED FOR MEDICAL AND BEHAVIORAL ISSUES BEFORE PLACEMENT AS WELL AS BEING TRAINED FOR THE SPECIFIC NEEDS OF THEIR RECIPIENTS. NOT ALL DOGS ADMITTED TO THE PROGRAM END UP MEETING THE STRINGENT REQUIREMENTS FOR SERVICE ANIMALS. ALL FUNDS RAISED ARE USED FOR THE CARE AND EQUIPMENT THESE DOGS AND OWNERS NEED. THE SITUATION REFERRED TO BY BLACKDOGMAMA OCCURRED AS THE RESULT OF AN UNUSUAL AND UNFORSEEN PROBLEM CREATED BY QUESTIONABLE ACTIONS BY A FORMER EMPLOYEE OF THE PROGRAM (WHO WAS DISMISSED). THE PROGRAM DIRECTOR DID NOT FEEL THAT THE DOG IN QUESTION COULD BE SAFELY OR RELIABLEY PLACED WITH A RECIPIENT.

I used to be a member of the guild in the 1990's. it was very helpful and informative then. I have been trying to reach it to become a member again for 8-9 months. Their website does not lead to anything, emails are returned as undeliverable and when I get a phone number that voicemail says is the guild they do not return my calls. I am wondering if they are even a viable entity any more.

The ARW in Canton, Ohio is a great organization. <br>Their mission is more than fulfilled every day. <br>Captain Victor and Captain Deborah live <br>Their lives to help those in need. They go <br>Above and beyond their duties to not only <br>See the residents through difficult and trying <br>Life experiences, but also truly befriend them <br>When everyone else in their lives have turned <br>Their back on them. I have a family member that <br>They helped and I feel saved his life. I thank GOD for Brother Ron Ministries. This year I was afraid that my children Christmas would be non exsisting,but I contacyed Brother Ron Ministries and I was amazied at what they did for me and my family. I had been to the Salvation Army and many other organization but they all gave me the run around. i was interviewed by Rev. Cunningham, who is the CEO and he helped me. My children were given toys and we were given food for the Holidays. For a small organization they worked hard for my family and I am thankful for that.

I managed a community assessment process, COMPASS, for the United Way of Greater Stark County. Margaret Egbert, YWCA CEO, served on the Community Development Committee from the beginning of the process. Community Development was one of eight COMPASS committees. The committees provided a direct link between the data COMPASS gathered and what was actually happening in the community. As a result of her involvement on the committee I developed a close working relationship with her and the Canton YWCA. <br> <br>The Canton YWCA and Margaret have provided innovative leadership particularly in the areas of child care and the homeless. For years the Canton YWCA managed the Stark County Homeless HMIS system. The methodology and the data collecting process developed there is still being used by the HMIS system now coordinated by the Stark County Recovery Services and Mental Health Board. No one was more influential in the development and implementation of that system than Margaret Egbert.are a leader among to A major part of the process <br> <br>The Canton YWCA developed an innovative high quality child care program. When Ohio instituted an all-day child care program, the Canton YWCA led indeveloping the Stark County coalition of child care providers and was the central data collection center for reporting to the state. <br> <br>The Canton YWCA created the Woman's Hall of Fame. The annual induction of new members into the Hall is a major event honoring Stark County women in six areas of service. The inductees of the Hall are a Who's Who of Stark County women leaders. <br> <br>The Canton YWCA has been an innovator in utilizing green building technologies. The current YWCA building is heated and cooled by a geothermal system providing the Y with significant energy savings. The YWCA is currently building a 40 room homeless facility that incorporateds the latest in construction techniques assuring rooms are aesthetically pleaseing, private and sound proof and the building is enviornmentally efficient. <br> <br>Prior to the construction of the new building, the YWCA constructed and helps manage Gateway, a permanent supportive housing facility for the homeless. Gateway was the first permanent support housing facility in the county. In colaboration with Stark County Community Services, Gateway provides permanent housing for long-term homeless with on site social services. <br> <br>The Canton YWCA is a major factor in child care and serving the homeless in Canton and Stark County. It is always looked to for leadership, innovation and quality.

I have been in the early childhood education field for over 30 years. I have worked in three states during this time. It wasn't until I moved to Stark County 7 years ago that I learned about the Early Childhood Resource Center.No place I have lived has had this type of resource available to those who work in the early childhood field. What a blessing this organization is to this area! Not only have I furthered my education through this organization, so has my staff. The children at our center have benfited through learning activities that were created in the production lab. The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.

This is a great group to work with and i hope to help again in the future. They are all a CLASS act. Dogs are treated better then some humans i know treat themselves. They (dogs) never have to worry about food or attention.

After nearly 10 years in an abusive marriage, I left my home (at the advice of my counselor at Renew). I cannot even begin to tell you what it felt like to leave my home. Even more so, what it felt like that first night in the shelter to know that I was safe. I spent 5 months at the shelter due to court procedings and rulings. During this time, I recieved group and individual counseling. The staff became like family to my girls and I. When I first got there, I didn't believe in myself at all. Each of the staff members believed in me. They saw in me what I couldn't find in myself. With the help of counseling and support, I started to find myself and believe in myself. When I was able to leave the shelter, they helped with toiletries as well as food. They also gave me a gift card from furnishing a fresh start to purchase items for my home. I am still in counseling at renew. It has been two years since I left my home. Not a day goes by that I don't feel blessed by all they did for me. I am convinced that without renew and DVPI I would not be where I am today.

St. Raphael is a Catholic Bookstore. The person answering the phone was very helpful. Since I was looking for vocations support, this was an innapropriate organization to approach. She was however, very kind.
