The ARW in Canton, Ohio is a great organization.
Their mission is more than fulfilled every day.
Captain Victor and Captain Deborah live
Their lives to help those in need. They go
Above and beyond their duties to not only
See the residents through difficult and trying
Life experiences, but also truly befriend them
When everyone else in their lives have turned
Their back on them. I have a family member that
They helped and I feel saved his life. Their
Patience, unending love and support and their
Perseverance has helped more lives
Than you could ever imagine.

If you were ever in the unfortunate circumstance
To find yourself homeless, you would be
Blessed to have the acceptance and love that
These two individuals have to offer.

I truly thank God every day for the opportunity
To have had the chance to meet them.

Last year, I spent about almost a full year under the service of ARW in Canton. Captains Victor and Deb are exceptional leaders and servants to the homeless and needy in the area. They are a great source of advice, readily lend a listening ear for residents problems, and are quick to offer solutions and help whenever possible. They and their excellent staff helped to motivate me to do what I needed to accomplish in order to get my life back on track and keep on track due to their work. I was able to get an apartment through SMHA, return to school and make the Dean's list, fix my finances, and get a car. I would not be where I am today if it were not for ARW.

The captains working with the residents of the Canton ARW function at a 5 star level. This January for the second year in a row the residents of the house will volunteer to cover the homeless point in time street count for Canton. Their dedication to helping others is inspirational.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

collecting the information the residents gather from every food and hunger site in Canton to identify how many homeless need emergency food.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

When I participated in the training the captains gave for the point in time count I was inspired by the level of desire to give back to the community, to help others in a homeless situation.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every month
