I came to know Next Step through my son, a brain tumor survivor from the age of 2. He found the Next Step community to be welcoming and supportive, and as a result has changed his life’s trajectory towards success and happiness. There are magical organizations out there that can be transformative for young people like my guy.. Next Step is one of them. Reyn Parsons, Board Member.

I had the pleasure of working with EcoLogic Development Fund when they were awarded a grant from Global Forest Watch's Small Grants Fund, via the World Resources Institute. For their project, they worked with local communities and ejidos in Mexico, Guatemala and Honduras to strengthen their forest monitoring capabilities through the use of geospatial forest monitoring technology, like Global Forest Watch and the Forest Watcher mobile application. The team at EcoLogic Development Fund were extremely communicative and did an impressive job executing the project through this grant. At the end of the project, they provided us with comprehensive videos from each community where we heard directly from community members and ejidos about the issues they are tackling on their lands and how GFW helped support and improve their strategies. We have continued to grow our partnership with EcoLogic outside of this grant and look forward to continuing to do so.

Thank you for all you do to help protect our precious marine life. You are their voice!!!

Having volunteered for Circle of Women for two years now, I have found meaning in my college pursuits through working for this incredible organization. Knowing that Circle of Women is putting 2,000+ extra girls in school every year is truly amazing, especially given that it is run full time by students without salaries. Everyone that serves in some capacity with Circle of Women truly cares about empowering and educating women across the globe, and I think that is spectacular. Plus, unlike some charities, you know all of your money is going straight to the good cause! 5 stars all around!

This is the place to be! Peter DiMuro has catapulted the Dance Complex into the dance stratosphere! Everyone can find a home here and be welcomed to dance, to enjoy to be a part of this vibrant dancing community. I taught children’s classes there for years and most recently shared my love of teaching children through the not for profit Dance In The Schools in a brand new event, Fall Into Dance, I was among a myriad of amazing Boston based dance programs such as Boston Ballet, Global Arts Live, Celebrity Series of Boston, Boston Dance Alliance, The Dance Complex, The Center for Arts at the Armory, Rasik, and more. I had the chance to meet and mingle with audiences, presenters, performers, and movers alike! It was all together a lively and engaging event. It was wonderful to hear about all the dance-based opportunities coming to the city this fall and beyond.

This is an orchestra that full of enthusiasm and passion in the music, you can hear the power from the performances. each concerts have well-designed program that is very friendly to audience of all ages.

UCS has been one of the top national nonprofit resources for science-based research, reporting, and evidence-based decision making on environmental issues for decades, particularly focused on sound science and climate change. To maintain independence, they do not accept corporate or government grants. Supporters can opt for a minimal number of mailings each year, mostly consisting of their quarterly Catalyst newsletter/magazine. They have also been better than many nonprofits in not bombarding email inboxes with unsolicited messages and solicitations.

I was part of an organization that hired Interlock's "CEO" and had an absolutely horrendous experience working with him. He not only lied repeated, he stole monies allocated for a video news release--which he never created. Not only that, he used a music score that we explicitly paid for and rights to, and used that same score for a video he produced for another Cambridge organization. Furthermore, after the initial project was "completed", he held the Beta SP version of our video for ransom. <br>I literally had to make a commando raid to Interlock's relocated location in Boston, with hidden microphone, to ascertain why Mr. Schwartz was withholding the release of property we paid for. He is not to be trusted! He is a scoundrel.

I started volunteering with Cambridge School Volunteers (CSV) shortly after moving to the area about three years ago. I was welcomed into the organization, and supported every step of the way. I find the CSV to be high quality, flexible, and easy to work with. The programs are able to accommodate the varied schedules a volunteer, as long as that volunteer is able to be consistent, and will work to build positive one-on-one relationships with students. The employees of CSV are knowledgeable, friendly, organized and a pleasure to work with. Each employee is dedicated to the success of the students, making it easy to feel like you are part of the team right away. Having this extra support to work in the Cambridge public schools is a great way for volunteers to build confidence and skills in the fantastic Cambridge students! Right now, I am able to read to elementary age student during the school day. It is a nice break from my regular job, and CSV makes it fun and rewarding for my assigned student and I. I also was able to help coordinate some of the programs for older students and was impressed with how the staff was able to treat all students, volunteers, partners and community members with such consistently high levels of respect and kindness. The training is useful, without being a huge time commitment. If you are looking to volunteer in the area with, I would highly suggest considering this organization!

SC has not published its 990 IRS forms for several years, nor any annual reports in some time. So it is impossible to get much idea of what they are spending. They seem to be involved in a program involving the revitalization of American Indian languages, including one that has been "dead" for over two hundred years. They also seem to count their bazaar fundraising simultaneously as a program activity as well as fundraising. The rationale is that it provides a market for indigenous craftsmen. To some extent this seems to be true, but the goods sold at the bazaar have in recent years become less interesting and more commercialized.

TCF has all the right values that you would hope for in a nonprofit. The 102 children they support are part of their forever family and RVCV is a place they can always call home! Not only are they focused on the well-being of the RVCV children but they are committed to having a lasting impact on their entire community to create sustainable change. I am a proud supporter of TCF as I know they will always do what is best for their community and their future. I highly recommend taking a moment to read about their story. <br> <br>

Since 1982, the Harvard Square Churches Meal Program has served a Thursday night meal to the unhoused and underserved in the Cambridge area. Doors open at 5:00 and a full-course meal is served, restaurant-style, at 5:30. Volunteers are the backbone of the Meal Program and come from local colleges, high schools, churches, and the Harvard Square neighborhood.<br>Check out the website at: harvardsquaremeals.org.

Open Learning Exchange is helping Somali villagers equip themselves with the know-how and protective masks to prevent spread of coronavirus, despite being isolated from formal healthcare.

A truly inspirational cause! At a time when women's rights issues in Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Bangladesh and other countries are gaining notice, the Asian University for Women is coming into its own as a major player in women'e empowerment. Founded in 2008, AUW has now graduated several classes of young women from South Asia and the Middle East who are going back to their hometowns and serving as role models to girls who may have never thought a college education was possible. This liberal arts university for women from historically oppressed regions of the world is making a real difference!

GTL has a few defining strengths. One is that we are narrowly targeted to supporting secondary school girls in East Africa, by paying their full fees for four or more years at an African boarding school provided they maintain their academic performance. Parents of girls will fund schooling for their sons before paying for their daughters' education, because culturally, a son will return to his family after marriage and bring with him his bride and his (paid for) education to enhance the family. A daughter's education is seen as a lost investment by her parents, since she'll follow her husband to his family's home after marriage. Uneducated daughters are routinely sold into marriage for a couple of cows in rural East Africa. <br> <br>Beyond this narrow targeting of young East African women, we enjoy a targeted endowment which pays the greatest part of our overhead costs of running GTL. Most of the rest of our overhead is covered by donations from board members allowing nearly all (over 90%) of your donation to be sent to our nearly 300 young women in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania. We are proud and successful.

Provide trains health and social service providers to offer non-judgmental, all options counseling to their clients and patients. They work in geographic areas where women and girls have difficulty obtaining full information about their options as well as difficulty accessing critical reproductive health services. <br> <br>We cannot change everyone's minds to make them pro-choice, and Provide doesn't attempt to. Rather, they have adopted the brilliant strategy of working with healthcare providers - both pro and anti-choice - to remind them of their ethical obligations to their patients and to equip them to offer nonjudgmental counseling and referrals to their patients. I participated in a training and was blown away by the caliber of the trainers.

CLSACC has always been an organization of volunteer professionals. Since it's inception, they have been sustained by the commitment and dedication of volunteer lawyers and mental health professionals. Today, CLSACC is the only volunteer-based agency of its kind in the area, combining legal assistance with mental health counseling. Their unique interdisciplinary approach has enabled CLSACC to keep pace with the ever-changing and interrelated needs of their clients.

Volunteer commitment level and match with the organization are taken very seriously. Training was thorough, life-changing -- worth it on its own. Work in the shelter for a few hours a week over a couple of years allowed me to be a part of the efforts to help all sorts of women in real need, and once in a while I could provide a critical link to a survivor in crisis through my work as a crisis line operator. Not to be undertaken lightly -- volunteering with violence survivors in crisis -- but well worth the effort if you have the time and passion for it. <br> <br>I must point out that the Volunteer Director back when I was involved, Linda McMaster, contributed tremendously to the extremely positive experience I was able to have

This is a terrific museum that will please everyone in your family. There's dinosaur bones, an enormous beetle collection, and plenty of large stuffed animals. And yet it's pretty compact so your kids aren't exhausted from having to walk around a huge museum. Informative explanations, easy coat/bag check, and it's very close to Harvard yard.

I'd like to think On-the Rise is the better shelters in the greater Boston area. It is relational, staff there are an interesting mix, just as the clientele. . Overall this drop in for women rates one of the best attributable to Susan. I have also many not so good reasons for on-the rise but that's inconsequential as of this review. .Miss Susan, as the organizations go to person and reasonably , affable and genuinely sincere woman of character is perhaps the organizations best representation of transparency.. Although you might have already gathered that buy the organizations brochure. This review might sound fluttered at best, the future of this organization would perhaps be most valued with a partnership of two or more shelters. Thus far, this women's shelters future planning provides a sound financial context in an accomplished environment. Due to the not so-certain fiscal cliff and political unsuitability On-the rise should look for a future of purchasing more properties for homeless women and those and for-profits and or hybrids that foster a helping hand to women in need.

This organisation is doing revolutionary work, bringing music into places it doesn't usually appear. I have worked with them as a singer and have been transformed and activated. I now am constantly on the lookout for projects that bridge race and class gaps. Music helps us see the continuum of all things, rather than live in a polarized world. It creates a space between people that relies on their humanity and beingness, rather than language-based opinions, beliefs, arguments, etc. SARASA is the vanguard of this work, and they know how to do it. Plus, their artists are at the top of the field.

I've volunteered with T+ since January 2014 and found the experience incredibly rewarding. I've tutored the same student for the past two years and have loved getting to know her and seeing her progress academically. She's my little buddy, and I'm so grateful to be a positive influence in her life.

I have heard of Charles Stark Draper, Organization and feel they do quite intelligent design modules for medicine. My interest in the organization would be more specific quantum leap programs designed for children to be better productive. Elemental to understanding incontinance of family procedures befitting understanding of their qualitative self help patterns of the mind objective. DNA research the individuals dna/core/productive elements and psychological testing.
