Its great being friends with other parents of Autistic children- we get to share ideas, solutions and resources to name a few things. My friend, Angela, forwarded an email about swim lesson for children on the spectrum. We live in Florida so being able to swim is a must with all the pools and bodies of water everywhere. My son had just turned 4 at the time, so I jumped on this chance. I emailed this Foundation and their response was timely and positive. The process of getting the funds was seamless! I also liked that we could pick our own location for the lessons- this made it very convenient.

We, as his parents were able to piggyback off of what he learned to continue helping him get more comfortable and confident in the water. That was last summer. We took him to the pool again for the first time this year and he was even more confident!
