My first exposure with this organization was at the VA hospital in Audie Murphy while I was at a doctor's appointment with my father, after the doctor's visit, we noticed in the courtyard that there were lunches being given out by soldiers Angels, they were handing out lunch boxes and then later came in with Little Caesars Pizza, provided drinks and water with the lunches as well, I was really impressed when I noticed how organized they were in getting people in line to receive their lunches, the lunches were provided for the vets as well as some family members, The volunteers that were serving these lunches were extremely polite and you could tell that these volunteers truly enjoyed what they were doing, very polite and very compassionate towards the vets, and their families, because I was so impressed with the setup after observing for a while that I went up to one of the volunteers to inquire about becoming one of the volunteers, as I had been wanting to do something and get involved that helped with honoring our military. After receiving the information I immediately got involved and started participating in some of the opportunities to provide lunches at various locations in the city serving coffee and donuts at some of the clinics, handing out hygiene products and supplies for our vets, then into the holidays stuffing over several hundred Christmas stockings with all kinds of goodies to be sent over to our military people who were deployed, and handing some of those out to various organizations and hospitals that soldiers angels serve, I can definitely say that these vets are eternally grateful for the support and can't thank us enough for the things that we do. Soldiers Angels is a great organization that never lets our military forget how much we appreciate them and for what they have done for our country and the reason why we are able to do these types of things is because of our military keeping us free to do so, The team of volunteers are also very kind, toward each other, and work phenomenally as a team, as we know why we are there I couldn't brag more about an organization that does as much as they do for our vets, and active military, and their families, to make sure that they are never forgotten for their ultimate sacrifice, I highly highly recommend this organization if you're looking for a place to volunteer that honor our vets and our active military
