OMG I need 11 stars for these folks. They SAVED THE DAY, and a life. And they were SO patient! I rescued an abused cat (3-4 y/o) with a throat wound (huge hole) and weighing about 4-5 lbs. Long story short, he had beyond severe stomatitis & it hurt him like hell to eat much of anything. It was either surgery or euth. Fundraising is not for the weak of heart, let me tell you! Among all the rejections for help I got (and I DO understand not everyone can help), ForTheLoveOfAlex stepped in and I thought they'd be doing what friends/acquaintances had been doing and adding a piece of the puzzle that the fundraising was for my little kiddo's surgery, I mean I know many are overwhelmed w/requests, but as they didn't mention an amount, I asked, so I could note my records and see how much more I needed to raise, and I was just told "We'll cover the whole thing". This is without them knowing at first that I had already secured a couple of hundred (I mentioned it afterward). I was floored. I had to ask again because about $1500 is a LOT of money. They effectively made it possible to end my fundraising efforts, as I'd been sleeping about 2-4 hours per day trying to contact people for help. Even more, the day of the surgery, when one of the other parties failed to respond in time for me to be able to take my kiddo home after surgery, they immediately stepped in and saved the day (again!) by assuming an amount higher than what had been previously discussed. Totally made it possible for the surgery to take place and now this kiddo has a full and painless chance at life! His attitude is all different, you should've seen the face he made when he took his first bite and realized food didn't hurt anymore... you get 10 points if you guess how much I cried. Thank you, Carla, for your patience (I know it took a longer-than-expected time to get TO the surgery date), you are NOT from this Earth! I love you guys from the bottom of my fur-filled heart!!!!
