Our family is so thankful to the ASDF for providing a grant to pay for swim lessons. For my child, ASD causes him to have very little fear and he gets himself into dangerous situations. We want Summer to be filled with joy and not danger or anxieties about the water. My son has benefited greatly from the focus on water safety, floating, and walking the side of the pool with his hands until he reached safety. This grant provided not only a skill, but peace of mind for us, and possibly a lifelong hobby for our son.
