I am forever grateful to For the Love of Alex and how they helped my pet beagle Mia. Mia is eight years old and had a baseball size tumor on her shoulder which was getting bigger and bigger by the day. It prevented her from walking, playing, jumping and sleeping. Her quality of life was really affected by this massive tumor. At night she couldn't get comfortable in her bed or even laying on the floor. It was heartbreaking! I took her to the vet and was informed that the surgery would cost over $2000 to remove the tumor. I was blind sighted by this and on my income, I knew that there was no conceivable way for me to pay for this. I contacted different organizations, vet hospitals to see if they would help Mia. I was desperate at this point and was praying that by some miracle someone would offer assistance. As luck would have it, I submitted my application with pictures to For the Love of Alex and was almost immediately contacted by Carla. I was so humbled and relieved that they offered to pay entirely for Mia's surgery. Mia's s surgery was successful and she is back to being the fun loving beagle who loves to play and go to the dog park. From that very first phone call all the way up to the surgery For the Love of Alex has been so very helpful and compassionate. I can never thank them enough for helping my precious Mia. They have been a Godsend to Mia! For the Love of Alex is an amazing organization and I would recommend them a 1000%. Their mission to help animals in time of need is to be commended. I applaud their tireless work!
