Review for Soldiers' Angels, San Antonio, TX, USA
I have been going to their events in the Denver area for about 15 months now. When I first started Soldier's Angels gave away tons of food for Veterans, and only a few things unusable due to being expired. Over the last 4 months about 1/3 of the goods are expired, and sometimes by 3 to 4 months passed expiration date. I know they are doing their best to help Veterans, but it does Veterans no good if they have to throw away 1/3 of what they receive from Soldier's Angels. Another issue the volunteers don't care how they pack the bags. We have had bread at the bottom of bag stuffed with other goods. We have had eggs packed sideways in a bag with miscellaneous other items, and several eggs were broken when we got home. I know they are trying to do the best they can helping Veterans, but what good does it do if your good are going to be smashed, and, or expired?
