The ASD Foundation is Amazing! Thank you so much for making the dreams of horse camp available and accessible for my 10yr old daughter. She learned to care for the horses as well as saddle and ride. She worked on social skills, too, as she partnered with another child and took turns leading and riding. The camp helped develop a number of skills but was also really fun - something difficult to achieve in a traditional, clinical occupation therapy setting. To be completely honest, it was also a nice break as a parent knowing she was in good hands, doing positive things! We are so grateful for the opportunity and support! Thank you!

We are so grateful to the Autism Spectrum Disorder Foundation! With their support my daughter was able to participate in a horse riding camp. Her gains in confidence were matched by other PT/OT practice, such as fine motor control of fastening buckles, adjusting straps, and grooming the horse, abdominal strengthening, balance, self-control, following directions, independence and of course the silent connection with the animal. It was a wonderful opportunity! Equine therapy is noted as especially beneficial for the neurodiverse yet it has been out of reach for us. This is an opportunity that she would not have otherwise had. Thank you!!
