We've been supporters of Christine and her team at Grey2K for 6 years now. They are on a personal mission to end greyhound racing and stop the abuse of these majestic dogs, and they get results. They are highly effective in their use of donor funds, punching far above their weight with consistent wins across the US and internationally. They are also fantastic at keeping us informed and transparent in how they run their operation. Other charities have come and gone for us but Grey2K will always be one of our most important.

I have been a donor and watched this organization for years. I have been in communication with the people who work here for years, and they have always been helpful in answering questions I had about greyhound legislation and other issues. More than that, they get things DONE, like helping to end dog racing. I love greyhounds more than anything, and any organization that works to help ensure their wellbeing is at the on my list of favorite organizations ... and Grey2K is at the top of mine.

Grey2K's never ending work to put a stop to the disgusting "sport" of dog racing in the US and over the world has made such a huge impact!!! Their work is so, so important and they have made such great progress, on all fronts: 1. educating people of how horrifying dog racing really is and the sweet and gentle nature or greyhounds; 2. promoting adoption and 3. changing laws to stop legal dog racing.
Grey2K brought an initiative to the state of Florida, to be voted on in a general election and thus put an end to dog racing in that whole state, which had the most dog tracks of any US state! That work really speaks for itself!
People don't realize that Greyhounds, as a breed, are such sweet, gentle and sensitive dogs. The public in general is also unaware of the horrifying treatment of racing dogs. They just think "oh, they love to run", and that ignorance has been exploited for so many years. I've been involved with GREY2KUSA Worldwide for over 18 years, first as a member of the public, then as a board member, and now as an officer. Everything we do is guided by the idea, "What is best for the dogs?" Our policies and programs all follow from that simple premise. I continue to be impressed by the success of this dedicated team, and their efforts to end the horrors of greyhound racing. Thanks to GREY2K, laws have been passed all around the US, and the world, to ban this cruel sport, so many dogs have been rescued and adopted to loving homes, and the public is learning about the needless suffering and deaths.

I met Christine long before she co-founded Grey2K, through her work for animals in Massachusetts, and was privileged to join her and so many others to one of the first March for Animals in Washington D.C. I saw how tirelessly she worked through law school, as I was also a student at the time, and she did it all "for the animals." I've also met Carey at fundraisers, and he is an amazing advocate, compassionate and determined, and yet very approachable. The energy of their volunteers is contagious, as evidenced from the ballot initiative meetings in their (welcoming and functional, but not glamorous) office. The entire organization works hard to make every donation count (right down to hand-packing winning auction items in recycled boxes). GREY2K is an amazing organization, and I am honored to be able to support them.

We have been adopting greyhounds (our first one was a blue brindle named Timber, of course an ex-racer cruelly left to die at Greentrack in Alabama) since 1999 until our last greyhound named Skye (also an ex-racer) passed in 2019. Grey2K was started in 2000. I first learned about the organization around 2003, read its mission statement and other literature about it and about the principal people who run it, Christine Dorchak and Carey Theil. I began donating because I saw the wonderful work in ending greyhound racing in this country that Christine, Carey and their volunteers do. When I started donating, there were dozens of tracks around the country. Because of their tireless work to end this cruel sport, there are now only 2 tracks left, a testament to their efforts. Several years ago, the organizational name was changed to Grey2K USA Worldwide, to reflect the commitment (in cooperation with organizations in other countries) to end greyhound racing around the entire world. My wife and I will continue to donate to Grey2K until the last racer has found a forever home. This is one of the most worthwhile organizations I ever had the pleasure of dealing with. Keep up the great work!

GREY2K works to shut down greyhound racing, and has educated so many people on the importance of why greyhound racing is inhumane and dangerous. They have done amazing work shutting down all but 2 racetracks in the US, and they have never given up on the dogs. Before knowing this non-profit, I didn't know anything about greyhounds; since meeting them, I have grown to love and adore these dogs and now donate where I can to help protect these amazing dogs.

GREY2K USA Worldwide is a very strategic and effective organization with a focused mission to end the cruelty to greyhounds in the greyhound racing industry around the globe. Their success in the USA is tremendous, having brought the greyhound racing industry almost to an end, avoiding the abuse, injury and death of countless dogs.

This organization will single-handedly be responsible for the death of the greyhound as a breed in the US. They spread lies and falsehoods on the conditions and treatment of these beautiful dogs at tracks. Do you think a dog can race at that speed if it's abused? Just look at greyhounds at dog parks - they run for pure pleasure. They wear muzzles as they are very mouthy dogs with thin coats. Grey2k spreads propaganda to promote their mission.

G2k is a complete scam!! They don’t use your money to “help” greyhounds, they use it to have 6 figure incomes. These dogs in the USA don’t need your help. They are loved through every stage of their lives. It’s sad what people believe when they have seen nothing, yet they dish out money to these scam artists.

This amazing non for profit organisation standing up for greyhounds are responsible for saving so many greyhounds and closing such a disgusting, lie driven industry that takes money off so many tax paying individuals who have been lied to time and time again.

I personally can’t wait to see this industry gone forever and GREY2KUSA will help make it happen. The closure of the Canidrome just proves how dedicated they are and how far they will go to save greyhounds, 7 years of campaigning to close down the infamous Canidrome, on 21 a July 2018 they succeeded and it closed, there were 532 greyhounds still alive within the Canidrome and they helped find homes for every single one of them.

GREY2KUSA are an amazing non for profit organisation who raise awareness about the horrific greyhound racing industry. After 7 yrs of campaigning to close the worst racetrack in the world “the Canidrome” they were successful and they revealed the horrors of what happened within. GREY2KUSA helped save 532 greyhounds that were still housed there. I was lucky enough to be able to adopt one of them, and the change I have seen in him in just the last year is amazing. I wouldn’t of had the chance to have him in my life if it wasn’t for this amazing organisation.

I learned about Grey2K in 2004 and followed them ever since. They have helped many times in my state when political or legal issues came up. I’m blown away by what this small, smart, passionate group of people has been able to accomplish. They are heroes. Thank you Grey2K!

They were part of a huge rescue of over 500 greyhounds in Macau, China. I have one of those precious souls. Though her body is broken (lost 24 teeth, scars on hips and shoulders from sleeping on cement floors, broken hock, broken elbow and renal failure) her personality has been the best of any greyhound I've owned, fostered or dog sat.

They do not use the money to help a greyhound. They did not help rehome any greyhounds in Tuscon when it shut down. They spend a lot of money on marketing, lobbying, paying protesters and lining their pockets but nothing on helping the organizations that find homes for these dogs when they retire. I do not own a dog that races, I used to believe the lies that they tell until I adopted my own retired racer in California and I went out to find the truth on how they are treated. Trust me you can't make a greyhound do anything because I have a greyhound that slipped on my pergo floors it was my fault and he will not walk on any slippery floors unless there is a yoga mat or throw rug on top of it. If you make him walk on it he will stand there and flex his muscles and he weighs 100lbs so I just put rugs and mats all over the house. He was a slow dog and he found his couch with me but this organization will tell you dogs like him are put down. My other greyhound had a broken hock and it was repaired then she got a home with me but this organization will tell you she would be put to death which is not the case at all. I have no skin in this game except I hate seeing hard working people being duped out of their hard earned money. If you want to help animals, donate to your local shelter and adoption groups because they need the money and you will see it put to use in your own backyard.

This organization is not worth a single donation. They stole a photo I took of a well cared for, happy, healthy greyhound at a Florida track, who just happened to have her red muzzle on for safety, which is a good idea when 20 or so are turned out to play together. They darkened it, made it look sad and gloomy, and are pleading for donations! That greyhound is in top shape and was staring through the fence at me because she wanted ear rubs. I had chosen to visit this racing kennel to obtain the truth on how these dogs are cared for. None of the dogs I saw would come close to the word "abused." In fact, they were in better shape than most pets, the kennel was squeaky clean, and their dinner awaiting them when they came in looked good enough for human consumption. Above all their tails were wagging and they were happy. Don't believe this group's scheming lies and stolen photos.

The organization has been outstandingly successful at drawing public attention to the ethical, social and political issues that surround greyhound racing and human relationship with greyhound dogs including the way greyhound dogs are harmed by their association with their human handlers and owners that can rationally be defended. That is, the organization fosters conversations impelled by the principle of progress through reason. In so doing, the organization has informed and created knowledge relevant to an understanding of the greyhound racing industry worldwide, the everyday lives of greyhound dogs, and the conditions in which racing greyhounds are kept.

The organization provides; legitimate solutions to problems embodied by the greyhound racing industry; a forum and language for discussion of issues that attend greyhound racing; systematic analysis and assessment of the greyhound racing industry; and policy advice. I know from personal experience that in challenging the pervasive institutional and ideological influence of the greyhound racing industry social media platforms are often the site of abuse of those who hold contrary views to industry insiders. Grey2K Worldwide is noteworthy in that it promotes, indeed amplifies, mutually respectful moral deliberation on fundamental values.

I am not only a donor but I am on the GREY2K USA Worldwide board. However, I would be neither if I wasn't committed to the goals and the strategies of this nonprofit. This group has steadily decreased the presence of greyhound racing throughout the world, allowing thousands of these beautiful, gentle dogs to go and live a life that doesn't involve the cruelty and dangers faced daily by racing dogs. I'm proud to be a part of it.

My Greys are all track retirees. They were all treated well, given medical help when needed. All three WANT to race still. I wish this organization would just tell the truth. Lies only cause confusion which seems to be the goal of this group.

Grey2K is a scam. They donate ZERO dollars to retired racing greyhound adoption groups. They spread LIES about the treatment of Greyhounds at racetracks. They also STEAL photos of dogs, and make up FAKE stories to go with the photos. Check their financial records. Most of their. Money goes to salaries, trips aka vacations.

This organization knows nothing about greyhounds. They spread misinformation, outright lies and steal pictures from unsuspecting dedicated greyhound people, all to get $$$ from their followers. They block anyone who disagrees with their agenda and delete posts & comments that try to provide a more balanced viewpoint. Very disturbing that this organization is allowed to go unchecked.

This organization is based on lies to trick people into filling their pockets with your donations. Your money does not help the lives of any animals. Greyhounds have the most successful adoption rate of any breed worldwide. Racing greyhounds are also treated better than any breed worldwide from birth to racing to breeding to retirement which makes them the BEST companion. Grey2k steals, lies, and does not put animals' best interest at heart. Grey2k does not care about the thousands of animals being killed in shelters on a daily basis but wants the breed that has the highest adoption rate to die. Visit a farm, race kennel, or adoption kennel, or a race track and get educated before filling the pockets of liars.

Grey2K is a scam... they are NOT a 501(c)3 charity, meaning they are FOR PROFIT. These people line their pockets while trying to kill off an entire breed!!!!

This organization does nothing for greyhounds. They plead for donations and use them to line their own pockets and lobby politicians. As a greyhound adopter, I’ve looked into greyhound racing and it is not cruel and inhumane. The dogs are loved and well-cared for. This organization spews propaganda based on lies and outdated information.

While wonderful strides have been made in animal welfare, this organization distorts facts and does NOTHING to actually help dogs or make them safer. Before I actually adopted my first of 4 greyhounds and started exploring their backgrounds, I was anti-racing and believed the lies. I quickly learned that my 4 dogs were very well-cared for and even much loved throughout their lives, regardless of whether they raced or not. The racing industry is 99% people who love dogs, just like the anti-racers, but they have learned to open their farm and kennel doors to try to let the public see the truth of how dogs are cared for. Before you donate to pay the "salary" of these founders, know they are trying to end the greyhound breed we ALL love. If they kill off racing (up for a Florida vote in Fall 2018), hundreds of carefully bred generations die as the careers and life's work of thousands of people die as well. Greyhounds are not bred to be pets, they live for the chase, and YET they are WONDERFUL pets....BECAUSE OF HOW THEY ARE TREATED BEFORE ADOPTING. Some individuals are naturally nervous, "spooky", not because of how they were treated but like any mammal, genetic variety plays a role in "personality". There's wonderful resources out there - look at ALL facts, not just someone playing on your heartstrings and asking for money.

For 17 years I have seen this non profit destroy economies in the USA. Including the retired greyhound adoption agencies. They will be the cause of this royal and champion bloodline to become extinct. They are not honest. Check out the kennels for yourself. Laws have changed. People that work with these animals would report abuse. They have invested years in caring for these dogs. Authorities check up on them. So go see for yourself how they are treated. I dare you . Any kennel would welcome you. Speak to the real trainors and owners of these dogs. The owners don't even own a greyhound. This is a fake organization. Review their IRS stats. Most of the money goes to the husband and wife owners.

My sense as a greyhound adopter is that dogs on the tracks are, generally speaking, well treated. They simply would not be the stable, trusting and healthy animals I see come up if that were not the case. Of course there are unfortunate individual owners and trainers who do not treat the dogs properly, but they are the exception. The issue I see in part is that if greyhound racing were to end tomorrow, that would be the end of this strain of greyhounds. The breeders would close up shop, the existing dogs would, hopefully, all be adopted, and that would be the end, no more racing greyhounds, only the AKC, which are not the same.
By the way, when the Mobile dog track closed recently, it was a combination of dog racing people and adoption groups who saw to it that all the dogs were adopted out. In the recent hurricane in FL, dog track people stayed with the dogs, in the kennels, to care for them. The tracks gave money to help see the dogs through. Grey2K contributed nothing to these situations. There is a role for a helpful, fair minded animal advocate, but Grey2K are anything but.

This is a superbly run, very effective organization, led by very smart, compassionate people who have dedicated their lives to stopping the horrible mistreatment of greyhounds forced to race for others' gains. They have done a superb job in educating the public and have inspired thousands of volunteers to join together to end the cruelty. Since around 2001 GREY2K has steadily worked to educate the public about the cruelty called "sport" in greyhound racing and has tirelessly aimed for and achieved one victory after another as they have helped end greyhound racing in so many states. They have grown from a small, regional organization to a country-wide effort and now international. Greyhounds are lucky to have a strong and dedicated voice.

Fantastic charity which does great work protecting and improving the futures of greyhounds worldwide!

Serious and transparent organization, which makes an extraordinary, competent, forward-looking work against the greyhound racing in the USA and worldwide and in defense of the greyhounds and animals rights in general.

I've attended many fundraisers for Grey2K over the years so I've been able to learn firsthand about all the wonderful work they've done to end the abhorrent practice of greyhound racing around the world. They've made great progress as many tracks have closed but there is still work to do. Grey2K is a great organization with a very noble cause.

GREY2K USA Worldwide is a success because they focus on one thing...the protection of the racing greyhound. Just last year, GREY2K USA was able to ban dog racing in Arizona.
As a board member, I have witnessed the dedication and drive of Carey Theil, Executive Director, and Christine Dorchak, President, and General Counsel...they work nonstop full speed ahead. Let me tell you a little bit about them.
First Carey. Every year, you will see Carey in Tallahassee getting to know legislators and winning them over with facts about the cruelty of the dog racing industry.Legislators in Florida term out but Carey always finds new supporters from both sides of the aisle. Then there is the media. Carey has so many contacts from reporters to TV stations which help him get our message out. For example, just several weeks ago The New York Times published an article about cocaine being found in 5 greyhounds following Florida Races.
Now Christine. Boy, does she know the para-mutual law? She works with governors and legislators to help get these laws on the books. I know that many times she is at the GREY2K USA office working on Saturday or Sunday trying to beat a deadline and she does.
I am proud to be a member of GREY2K USA and I will continue to help Carey and Christine with their efforts to end dog racing.

It is a tragedy what happens to these poor dogs for the entertainment of humans. Grey2k does a fantastic job of helping to stop this pathetic sport. No animal should have to endure what these poor loving animals undergo. Hoping dog racing stops around the world !!

I have known this group, these people, for more than 15 years. I have seen them work tirelessly putting their VERY considerable professional gifts to work for the benefit of the most abused breed of dog that has ever existed in the U.S. I have no idea how they get done what they get done but they do it/it happens...and greyhounds BENEFIT. I have contributed for the past 15 years and I will continue to do so. Because the best hope of abolishing greyhound racing in the U.S. is Grey2K USA Worldwide...and then they will turn their sights on to the world. I want to be around to celebrate this - !

Facts are stated in the reviews, refute them if you can. Not everyone who disagrees with you is pro-racing. Some of us are neutral.

Before I wrote this I read the reviews and the follow-up comments. I live in the US and, other than adopting retired racing Greyhounds, am not in any way connected to the racing industry. Neither are any of my friends or family. When I first adopted a Greyhound, I was inclined to believe the things that Grey2k promote. Then I started to think for myself and got an unbiased education.

I investigated. What I came away with is the knowledge that it takes an incredible investment, both in money and work, to get a dog from conception to maiden race. Racing is a business, albeit a labor of love. Like any business only a fool would take it on without a long term plan to be profitable. If a dog is not well taken care of, in both body and mind, it will not perform. If it doesn't perform it will not be profitable.

I questioned. Why would a kennel, trainer or breeder not want a return on investment? They wouldn't. They wouldn't provide improper care, food or socialization. These dogs are, after all, professional athletes and they are treated as such.

Grey2k claims that there are "missing" dogs. There really aren't. Many dogs that are whelped don't make it to the track because they are not contenders and they are petted out. Grey2k says that they are caged 20 hours a day. This is simply not true. And when they are, the crates they are housed in are much larger than the average one that adopters use. Grey2k cites injuries, and anyone who has a Greyhound knows that when you have a dog running full out injuries can happen. But there are more injuries in the backyards of their retirement homes because the surface is not groomed like it is at the tracks, not to mention trees, garden ornaments and gates that have been left open. And, don't get me started on dog park injuries.

I will admit that 25+ years ago, before the pursuit of adoptive homes, things were different when racing careers were over. That was then. So why does Grey2k still use mass euthanasia as a talking point in their donation requests?

I've cold called all of my dogs' owners or trainers. Every time I got a friendly and helpful response. I found that I was talking to someone eager to share memories of their dogs and they were grateful for the call and to know that their "baby" was in a happy home. I was lucky enough to have a reunion with my current dog's owner/trainer. After a few seconds she realized that she was seeing "her man". It was as if, for that brief moment in time, I didn't exist. The looks of seer joy on both dog and trainer's faces said it all. No one will ever be able to convince me that there was any neglect or abuse. It was a genuine love fest. He and his family even send "their" dog Christmas gifts.

The professional racing business takes care of and polices its own pretty darn well these days but Grey2k can still do a lot of good. Focus on shutting down unregulated underground racing. Those dogs are totally at risk, generally neglected and disposed of. Take on the Galgos and Podencos in Spain and Argentina. Put your efforts into shutting down dog fighting. Granted, this will be less high profile, much harder and possibly a whole lot dangerous, but these dogs could really use Grey2k's loving help.

I am not a greyhound breeder, an employee of the industry nor have any ties to greyhound racing. I do not have family members employed nor have any financial interest in greyhound racing or even a 'competing' non-profit. I state this because the organizer of Grey2K has accused many people of posting "fake" reviews for their charity. I love greyhounds and I did my homework about which organizations were actually in favor of the well-being of the breed and individual dogs from birth to racing to retirement. Grey2K is a lobbyist group. In fact, they state so themselves: "In 2015, 83% of all expenditures were used directly for programs including legislative advocacy, ballot initiatives, legal research, and public education about the cruelty of greyhound racing." As you can see, not one line item is listed as "veterinary care" or "adoption fees". However, the two top issues are legislative advocacy and ballot initiatives. Your donations are used for lobbying to put race tracks out of business: which, if you understand by doing so, actually harms the integrity of the breed. Because of them, there have been hundreds, if not thousands of greyhounds who have been left homeless due to a track closure. Ask them who they have helped with that? They haven't. They don't.

This group never helps the dogs but uses the money collected to spend on theirselves. They do not adopt dogs.

in all my research, I know of no help this group has been in helping greyhounds. I know of a rehoming organization that had a fire in their kennel & where was grey2k?? Where were they during the recent hurricane?? Oh, I know, shopping for their clothes to look good with your donations. Don't be fooled!!

A lobby group - they do nothing for actual dogs but line their pockets and live the high life off your dollars. Check their financial reports. Note that one of the beneficiaries of your donations is copy/pasting the same comment to any negative review - that they are fake reviews. I assure you this is not a fake review, Grey2K cannot change laws as they state they have; and any funds donated to them help them live well and travel world while those who actually love the dogs (NOT Grey2K) get in there and care for them. He who shrieks with the loudest voice is not necessarily right. Donate to actual greyhound adoption groups and not to these charlatans.

Grey2K is a lobbying group that fights to end racing. They rehome zero greyhounds, and do nothing to assist with the welfare. If you truly want to help greyhounds volunteer, foster, or donate to a local adoption group.

For those that believe Grey2K helps with greyhound adoptions and re homing, don't. They never have and never will help donate time or money to find homes for retired racers. They don't give a darn about the greyhounds they are supposedly protecting. They never even tried to protect the racing greyhounds in FL when Matthew came calling last week. They haven't even donated any money for repairs to the kennels or food or nothing. They don't care. In fact, if truth be known, they were probably hoping Matthew would've killed all the greyhounds in FL. so the tracks would be closed. That is how their evil minds work Do not donate any of your money to this group. Donate to your local adoption group instead. This way your money will be used for the purpose you intended, the greyhounds.
Sorry Mr. Thiel, but this is not a fake review, but an honest, true review. And not once in your response have you said anything about helping with adoption groups and helping to adopt greyhounds. You never once mentioned reaching out to the hundreds of greyhounds that were in danger last week in FL. when Matthew came through. Why? Because you don't care about the welfare or lives of greyhounds, that's why. All you care about is your precious lobbying. You don't love greyhounds. Never have, never will. You just love the money. But you will answer to God some day for your greed and hatred of greyhounds. Again, this is NOT a fake review.

Where was this fine organization that protects greyhounds and looks out for their welfare when the very real danger of Hurricane Matthew was threatening the kennels in Florida just last week? Were they gathering supplies? Were they sleeping on cots watching over the dogs- leaving their homes and families behind?
No...that was the dedicated trainers and owners doing that. ACTUALLY PROTECTING the greyhounds these charlatans claim to care so much about and work so hard to "save".
Or were they sitting back hoping Mother Nature night do their dirty work for them?

This group does absoulutly nothing to help find homes for retired racing greyhounds. Their whole agenda is to close racetracks and put people out of jobs. When the tracks close they do nothing to help find homes for the dogs at those tracks. To say they care nothing about the dogs would be giving them too much credit.

They use the donations to line their own pockets and they cannot pass laws to regulate racing -it's up the leaders in the states to pass the laws. So many tracks have closed because they were losing money-Grey2K didn't have anything to do with it.

Note that Grey2K is a 501(c)4, NOT a 501(c)3. The difference is that the 501(c)4 can engage in unlimited lobbying, which is primarily what funds are used for. This is not an organization that actively seeks to help greyhounds that need rehoming. This is not an organization that actually helps the welfare of existing racing greyhounds - there were many that could have used help during Hurricane Matthew. Beware of what your funds are actually used for - it is NOT direct greyhound welfare, but political activities and (mis)information campaigns.

If you are interested in helping greyhounds as a breed, this is not the non-profit you should seek. Your money is going to a lobbying group, not an animal welfare group. They have no concern for the well being of greyhounds during their life at the track and especially for their life after the track. If you want to help the breed, find a local greyhound adoption group in which to give your money.

This is a lobbying group - a 501(c)(4) - not a 501(c)(3) - so none of the donations made are tax deductible. They do not assist in placing or homing greyhounds when their racing careers are finished.

Grey2K are not an animal welfare organisation but an animal rights political activist organisation who spread lies and misinformation in order to get people to donate to them. They neither rehome or donate to organisations who rehome Greyhounds. They go on 'fact finding' jollies all over the world and pay themselves large salaries. There is plenty of information available about the dreadful lies they spread, including the publishing of a photo in Australia of a 'greyhound breeding establishment ' that was actually a run down closed mining operation complete with their sign. I would have given them zero stars if I could have.

Grey2KUSA has non-profit status, but that does not mean that the two people that run it are not making a living off of the organization and using donated funds to travel the globe. Grey2KUSA does not re-home dogs, they are basically a PAC raising donated funds to lobby state and federal law makers.

They have no shelters. They do not have a hands-on policy of finding homes for retired racing dogs. They often use outdated "facts" about the racing industry and hyperbole to urge kind hearted pet lovers to donate funds to what they believe to be a rescue organization.

If you love animals and have some spare money to donate, give it to your local shelter which will put your generosity to actual rescue efforts.

Grey2K USA has led an effective fight to end the exploitation and abuse of greyhounds in the US. It is amazing what they have accomplished in the past 15 years. In that same short time their scope has extended across the globe, influencing legislation and regulations, and closing down tracks. Along the way they have stayed true to their mission, made every penny count, and honed in on a strategic plan that will in our lifetime make greyhound racing a thing of the past.

We have been supporting the GREY2K USA team for several years both with personal donations and through our business. The GREY2K USA team has worked relentlessly to save living animals from the cruelty of humans. They also help to educate children so that this madness of using animals to make $ stops. I highly recommend that everyone should support GREY2k USA until ALL dog racing ends.

There are very few nonprofits I hold in such esteem as I do Grey2k USA. I didn't know much about greyhound racing when we adopted our first greyhound more than 3 years ago - I could have easily been swayed either way. I've never been to nor bet on a greyhound race and have no desire to do so. Anyway, it didn't take long to see Grey2k's underhanded tactics though. First, there was a photo of poor pitiful greyhound in a tiny cage, lying on a bare floor, leaning up against the side. But then I came across the original *uncropped* photo showing a huge crate with lots of bedding. That part was conveniently cropped out. And then they've stolen greyhound photos from Facebook accounts without the photographers permission to use in their literature. I know this to be a FACT - I'm friends with one of these photographers and saw the brochure one of her photos was used in. If they have to stoop to deceptive practices to make their point, they are not trustworthy enough to believe anything they have to say.

Grey2K is that rare nonprofit that began with a well defined mission, dedicated enormous human resources to developing the skills and knowledge to accomplish it and are a modern day David taking down Golliath. It hasn't been easy but their commitment has never wavered and their optimism and resilience has led to exposure of inhumane treatment of racing greyhounds that in turn converted the animal loving public into advocates for change. As a veterinarian with my own animal welfare nonprofit organization I know how difficult this is to do and success comes directly from the passion and commitment of its founders. I can think of no better example of what an animal welfare organization can be and can accomplish than the example of Grey2K. I only hope that once they succeed in ending dog racing globally they will teach others how to have similar success. There are few mentors in the field of creating change through nonprofit organizations. Grey2K figured it out on their own and have done it superbly. Having helped place retired greyhounds many years ago I feel so attached to the work this organization does

As someone who has rescued greyhounds for almost two decades now, I can't begin to tell you how important the work of Grey2K really is. Making changes legislatively is the only way things will ever get done to stop the abuse and exploitation of the most gentle breed of dog there is. They don't deserve to live a life where their life is put in danger every time the step on a track. That's the reality. No matter how clean one kennel may be, or how well maintained one breeding farm is, there are too many others that would make the average person sick to their stomach. But even if they were all as good as the misinformed like to believe, their will never be any way to justify the deaths that can and do occur at the tracks, the kennels, and the breeding farms, just so someone can place a cheap bet. It's time for all to get with the program and understand that in the year 2015 all lives matter and greyhound racing should become a barbaric part of our past.

I followed Grey2k on Facebook for a few years, and bought into the whole "greyhound racing is cruel" deal. That is until I began following a few other groups, and began conversing with people in greyhound racing. Through that association I was able to visit a greyhound breeding farm in north Florida, and visit four different racing kennels. I realize now that Grey2k is all about lies and propaganda. These animals are loved and treated very well by their breeders, owners and trainers. Grey2k is all about generating donations from people who don't do the research on their own.

Grey2K USA works both domestically and internationally to protect these wonderful creatures! If you love greys, this is the right org for you.

It's rather amusing that any time a person leaves a less than "five-star" rating for this company, its executive director (Carey2 - aka Carey Theil - "husband" of Grey2k USA president Christine Dorchak) claims that it is not a valid review because it's from someone in the "commercial racing industry". What a load excrement. It's a proven fact that Grey2k uses misleading propaganda and outright lies to slander individuals who own and race greyhounds. It's also proven that Grey2k USA donates less than 1% of its "take" to actually help greyhounds. Carey Theil has also spoken out AGAINST the Greyhound Safety Act in Florida. Legislation that would actually prevent injuries to racing greyhounds.

This is such a worthy organization, helping to save the greyhounds who have lived terrible lives for entertainment, and now are getting help from this wonderful relief organization. It is time to end this cruel form of animal abuse.

Grey2K is professionally managed and operates with a very small staff--almost all monies raised go to their efforts to rid this country and others of dog racing.

My wife and I have been involved as volunteers with Grey2kusa for over ten years now, down here in Florida, trying to put an end to the cruel and abusive industry of greyhound racing. Civilized people are not amused and entertained by the exploitation of animals. Apparently some of the reviewers on this page never got the memo. What is wrong with wanting to treat an animal that has been used and abused for centuries, like a companion pet? No animal, Greyhounds included, should be exploited for entertainment and certainly, no one should be able to profit from their exploitation. When will these misinformed detractors of Grey2kusa wake up and realize that Greyhound Racing is a dying industry? I think that what Christine Dorchak and Carey Theil of Grey2kusa and those of like compassion have done for the Greyhounds of Massachusetts and Rhode Island is nothing short of fantastic. They speak for those who have no voice of their own. I can only hope now, that the people of Florida, with the help of Grey2kusa, can fight this cruel and abusive industry with the same passion that those in Massachusetts and Rhode Island did.
