Review for Susie Qs Kids Inc, Warren, MI, USA
Susie Q's Kids makes and distributes free comfort bags for children in foster care, shelters, hospitals, and those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. These bags send the message to the child that someone cares about them, and they are not alone. Each bag contains a stuffed animal and blanket for comfort and items for fun activities, such as coloring books and Matchbox cars.
As a former foster child myself, I can tell you that it would have meant a lot to me to have received such a gift. I believe it gives the children a ray of sunshine in an otherwise bleak time in their lives, and thus extends hope. Susie Q's Kids is a nonprofit that makes a positive difference in hurting children, and I can't think of a more worthy cause.
