Friends of the Earth is a great organization. They really are friends. From the oceans and pollinators protection to fossil fuel opposition, they're always on our side for the sake of future sustainability. I get at least one email from them every day - usually a call to action - that I never ignore. I suggest you subscribe and pay attention (you can always unsubscribe when you decide a light degree of activism is not for you), them make a small donation from time to time. You'll feel good about it, and so will the rest of us.

Totally approve of Nonhuman Rights Project. Many studies over the last three or four decades have demonstrated broad-based qualities in nonhumans like self-awareness and kindness and this organization helps to bring home the human impacts to the ecosystem at large. It's about time to grant other creatures actual standing and rights protection!
