Review for Women In Military Service For America Memorial Foundation Inc, Arlington, VA, USA
This is a wonderful organization! My mom enrolled me as a Charter member in the 1980s!
It majestically sits at the entrance to Arlington National Cemetery and has spectacular views of the DC skyline! Over the years I’ve been on tours, to speeches, retirements and receptions there and the Women’s Memorial and staff never disappoint!
Review for Honor and Remember, Inc., Chesapeake, VA, USA
My brother was killed by an IED in Afghanistan in 2008. Honor and Remember has never forgotten. I can’t tell you how overwhelmingly wonderful it was when my parents (In their 80s) and I greeted the running team at Jim’s mile marker near Williamsburg one year. Or how cathartic it was to share a meal at the Founders Inn with another Gold Star Family. Or how proud I was to help place a field of valor at a local high school and witness Honor and Remember give a high-schooler the flag with her Dad’s name on it. This is a wonderfully supportive organization to Gold Star Families! Semper Fi! -kyle
