The Women's Memorial continues to amaze in what it accomplishes based sheer grit and determination. It has evolved through times of struggle to remain the only organization with the expressed purpose of not just being a repository but a resource that educates the public on the contributions of women who served and are serving. Well worth my personal effort.

I’m a charter member of the Memorial and volunteer for the last 5 years as an ambassador to CA for them. This is an amazing and important organization. It helps honor the more than 3M women who have served this country and educates the public about the many ways women have served and defended our country.

I have volunteered and worked for this incredible organization since Groundbreaking (1995). I am proud to have served in the USNavy for 30 years (24 active and the rest Fleet Reserve) the Military Women’s Memorial documents our personal stories of our service. My experiences with the memorial have made me aware of the trailblazing women who served since the Revolutionary War, even before women were allowed to vote! The Military Women’s Memorial relies on donations, many think since the Memorial/Education Center is located at the ceremonial entrance to Arlington National Cemetery that it is financed through the cemetery, that is not the case. Currently I volunteer as a North Carolina Ambassador for the memorial, my primary mission is to get the word out locally about the memorial and to encourage women currently serving and veterans to register their personal story of military service with the memorial.

The Military Women’s Memorial is one of our Nation’s greatest tributes to the sacrifices and contributions that women have made to the defense of our national security. Each time I walk through the doors, I feel like I am coming home. Home to a family that only a few can claim being a member of and it fills you with pride. I am so grateful to have this Memorial to visit and take my daughter and granddaughter to so that they can never forget that women also served.

This is a wonderful organization that has done an excellent job recognizing all the women who serve or have served in the military in the defense of our nation. Please consider supporting this amazing organization as we continue to fundraise and showcase the incredible stories of women in our military, past and present! And if you've never been to the memorial, you should definitely plan a visit there to see it...it's a beautiful tribute to our women veterans!

A jewel of an organization working tirelessly to ensure that the service of America’s military women is preserved and available for the next generation to learn from. Women have served since the Revolutionary War but only as non-reservists for 75 years. Highly recommend a visit when you visit Arlington National Cemetery.

As a recently retired Air Force Major General, it warms my heart to know that the stories of those who have served will never be lost. The mission is essential to ensuring we keep our stories alive for future generations. Additionally, the Memorial is a "must see" if you visit the DC area. Not only is it a spectacular building nestled in the front of Arlington National Cemetary, but when you go inside, you are immersed into a world of the present and the past of real women who served and the touching stories they've shared. Give yourself time to explore!

This is a wonderful organization! My mom enrolled me as a Charter member in the 1980s!
It majestically sits at the entrance to Arlington National Cemetery and has spectacular views of the DC skyline! Over the years I’ve been on tours, to speeches, retirements and receptions there and the Women’s Memorial and staff never disappoint!

For 26 years the Military Women’s Memorial has stood at the entrance to Arlington National Cemetery as a powerful and visible means to honor the more than 3 million women that have defended America for the past 248 years.
