Review for Frankie and Andy's Place , Winder, GA, USA
I discovered Frankie and Andy’s place after the passing of my own senior dog. My sweet 17 year old lab/golden mix, Fiona. The dog that made my whole world. After over a year of carrying her in and out, up stairs and down stairs, daily sheet changes on her dog bed, her sweet soul was ready, but I wasn’t. We used a flannel lined table cloth to keep the messes from getting into the stuffing so all we had to do was wipe it clean and put a new sheet on. What I wouldn’t give to wake up to her sweet face looking up at me and how happy she was when she had a clean sheet on her bed and good snuggle with a yummy biscuit. Stiff joints and incontinence didn’t stop her tail from wagging or her silly doggie smile. Until one evening she came into the room and got on her bed, she slowly looked over at us and I instantly knew. There it was. She was ready. That “I love you but I’m tired” look. It hit my gut like a torpedo. I will never forget that feeling like I will never forget her. She didn’t lift her head again. I will not for one moment ever regret the work it took to take care of her that last year. After all she did for me it was literally the least I could do. Every dog deserves such devotion and I see that in Frankie and Andy’s Place. I see people who will make sure a dog feels just as loved in its last days as it did in its first days. And there is no better way for a dog to leave this world than that.
