I have been a cat rescue volunteer for almost 15 years. In that time, I have seen a lot of animals that needed serious medical help. It can be heartbreaking when you don't have the money needed to help innocent lives. our rescue in NC helped a sweet female tuxedo kitten this past year that had a major head tilt from a large inner ear polyp. The diagnostics and surgery to repair the ear was astronomical to a small volunteer organization. We even found a good family for the kitten, but had to ask For the Love of Alex for funds to save little "Sheba". This organization stepped up with speed and grace. They were tuned into the details of our case, and made getting the medical help smooth and efficient. It meant the world to the adopters, the kitten and the volunteers. For the Love of Alex fills a huge need in the rescue and animal lover community. I am so glad to know they are in existence to help the desperate and complicated cases.
