I admire that Spirit of Harmony Foundation continues to advocate for music education of children in ways that help educators adjust to the changing realities of music education. Recent efforts include finding a role for electronic music that supprts traditional instrument based music education.

The Spirit of Harmony Foundation advocates for music education for children. One of the most personal ways I have seen the Foundation achieve this goal is placing donated musical instruments with a local music program. Individuals contact the Foundation with details about the musical instruments they want to donate. The Foundation then works to find a new home for the instruments. The donor is thrilled that a cherished musical instrument will be finding a new life and a local music program is enhanced. Plus, the donor now has a personal connection to this music program. I have seen this happen over and over throughout the country. The Spirit of Harmony Foundation is truly a grass roots organization.
Review for The Spirit of Harmony Foundation, Chicago, IL, USA
I have had the opportunity to be a volunteer for the Spirit of Harmony Foundation on a number of occasions and I always moved by stories people tell about their experiences with music. At used instrument drives, donors are very happy to know that their cherished instruments will be receiving a new life, giving children the opportunity of music education. With the objective of advocating for music education for all children, the Spirit of Harmony Foundation is an organization that embodies the belief that “Music Education is a Moral Imperative. “
