I have been a member of Soroptimist International of Huntington Beach for close to 13 years. I renew my membership each year as the work we do to help empower women and girls to be the best they can be is such a worthy cause. I’ve seen so many successes with the women we help whether it be educational grants, personal needs fulfillment, gifts for them and their children on their special days and holidays and even helping the ladies feel good about themselves through our day of empowerment. We have also formed a human trafficking committee to assist those women who have been taken advantage of through forced labor and sexual slavery. We do good work and will continue to help women and girls have a better life.
