For the love of Alex is a wonderful rescue who helped me with my sweet Arashi more than once.
Arashi was a stray I’d been feeding but she disappeared on me. She came back a week later but she was badly injured. After trapping her and an ER vet visit she was dx with a broken left pelvis at top and bottom so her leg was free floating and also had a broken tibia of the other back leg. I had grown to love this sweet little baby but I was faced with vet bills that were only going to get more expensive. I had just started back at school and didn’t have the money. This poor girl had been through so much I just wanted her to know a loving home so I sought out help and FLoA answer my plea. She had a long road ahead and they stuck with helping me her through her four months of vet appointments and cage rest. Without them I wouldn’t have been able to afford getting her to a point where she could just enjoy her comfy life. I am so grateful for FLoA because she became such a sweetheart. Loves being brushed, scratched, and snuggling with her brothers (even when they don’t want to). Now just 8 months later and she has been diagnosed with breast cancer.
This blossoming little kitty was faced with yet another hurdle. The cancer was caught early enough that it hadn’t mets’d to anywhere so surgery was an option to save her. I again was faced with vet bills I knew I couldn’t cover on my own. She is going to need 2 surgeries and possibly chemo. FLoA did a live fundraiser for her and in less than 48hrs their followers had raised enough for her first surgery. I was in tears at the love that was shown. She still has the 2nd surgery ahead of her and FLoA and followers have raised enough to cover the 2nd surgery as well. This org. saved Arashi’s life and helped me give her the chance at living out the rest of her life surrounded by love.
