A few short months ago, Joey found this precious fur baby in the little house we had placed out in front of our home. He was pretty well mangled and had several injuries to his side, neck, and eye and face. We had no idea where he had come from or what had happened to him (our guess is someone poured something very caustic on him), but we knew that he needed our help. The only issue was that we didn’t have the money to care for him and felt at a loss. He came to our house day after day and we fed him and Joey loved him but it was getting very hot outside and this poor fur baby seemed like he was on his last leg and needed help desperately. On faith, we called our vet, who said we could bring him down there; we figured we’d figure out the bill down the road. This fur baby purred and was eating and he had a will to survive so we were able to finally get him down to our vet. In the meantime, a friend of mine suggested For the Love of Alex, Inc., and I reached out to them. I prayed as I filled out the application and hoped for the best! Our case was taken and the rest is history! For the Love of Alex’s, Abby, helped us immensely and we were able to get the help that was needed. We also made the decision to make this precious fur baby a part of our family. We named him Miracle because that is what he is to us! We are forever indebted to and grateful for all of the donors who contributed to Miracle’s care as he needed a few surgeries and medications. He still has to have artificial tears for the rest of his life and he has a heart murmur but he is, otherwise, a happy, healthy, playful, and loving addition to our family.
