Review for Nowzad Dogs, Frisco, TX, USA
Favorite charity. Totally grassroots. No big publicity stunts, no political agenda. Just good people who quietly save the world one puppy and one kitty at a time.
Additionally, they support working women in Afghanistan. The country's only female veterinarians and training program.
Review for Animal Place, Grass Valley, CA, USA
I volunteered with Animal Place's Rescue Ranch a few times and always loved the experience. The staff is welcoming and very hard- working, the animals are treated so gently and lovingly. They have tons space and their living environments are cleaned from top to bottom everyday. They are really committed to their mission. I just wish their Grass Valley location wasn't so far from the bay area so I could volunteer more often. This picture is from my last time at Rescue Ranch with the infamous Lucas the goat. :)
