Miss Sassy is my life saver. She was given to me at a time when I was suffer a sever leg injury. I was in so much pain and unable to walk. So here came this little fuzzy bottle baby. I cared for her for weeks next to me.
The bond is indescribable. One day, she was no eating. I knew something was wrong. I got her to the vet and gave everything I had to save her. She was impacted with a forien object. Xrays, lab work, three vets; When I ran out of funds vets offered to put her down. Three differents vets, none of them would take payments, but they would kill her. I don't know how I scrolled across For The Love of Alex, but the name was my daughter's that save Sassafras and bought her to me.
I reached out for help and Elizabeth answered. I had hope, but time was running out. Sassy was fading and my heart was being ripped apart at the same time. They helped get Sassy to a surgeon and on the road to recovery. We now know that Miss Sassafras suffers from Pika and plastic bags are not allowed in the house ever.
She helped me get mobile. Caring for her and making sure she is safe gave me the push to walk again. I know it sounds silly. How can a little cat do that? I don't know, but she did. I believe that God sent For The of Alex to me because he knew saving sassy would save me. And it did.
She has a light in her, a spark that brightens the day. My family all helps to keep her safe. Thank you from our ❤ for giving us Sassy. Please help this charity if you can. I donate to them now that I am back to work to pay it forward. Your not saving just pets, you are saving people, family members, loved ones. Truly I am grateful they saved my best friend. I would be broken without her.

I suffered a horrible accident in 2015, was unable to walk, work, ect. I also recieved a little bottle baby kitten to care for while recovering. I had my leg in traction and she was in a warmer next to me while I healed. We bonded. Like she is my best friend. She gave me hope and strength to deal with the pain and recovery.
One day, that spring she was not eating. Several vet visit, test, xrays, she had a blockage. I was devastated.
I spent every dime I had, even the funds I used for my therapy. Opened and maxed out two credit cards, just so vets would offer to put her down because I had no more money to give them and they would not take payments. They saw me, my leg in a gaint steal brace/boot and knew I was suffering, still no one would help.
I reached out to For The Love Of Alex.
They sent me at once to a near by vet surgeon. Sassy was saved. I have tears just thinking about how grateful I am they saved her.
They don't just help save pets, they save families.
My little cat is my shawdow, she gives me the hope I need to push through my daily pain.
She's like, come on momma, you can walk today.
