The Port Aransas Art Center has a beautiful new home after 22 years in business. The Art Center features a monthly exhibit and has a huge gallery and classrooms. It is well worth a visit from anyone who comes to Port Aransas. It is on the main street, Alister, and is easily recognized by its bright turquoise exterior and the beautifully landscaped yard around. I think you will enjoy every aspect of this unique Art Center. Also the First Friday of every month, there is a Artist Reception with wine, food and live music by local musicians. There is no charge and it is open to everyone. 5:30pm to 7:30pm. These receptions are the Art Center's way of saying "thank you" to the community and area and the receptions were really appreciated by weary Hurricane Harvey victims. They added a note of normalcy in a world of debris.
