This is why great research organizations like the OMF need to be funded. Correct diagnosis with biomarkers, treatment options, and the right tools in the hands of clinicians must be made available as soon as possible. The Incline Village outbreak occurred more than 30 years ago and due to egregious missteps by the CDC, NIH, and the psychiatric field, no help came to those victims of the outbreak or for those who were ill prior and after.
