The BEST group of ladies work tirelessly and endlessly to help this fur kids.
I got a call to go get a dog, called the rescue and they took her right in. I fostered the dog and then foster failed her. Nine puppies came after a week of having her. They made sure she had food, a crate and the babies were all taken care of, along with phone calls to check on me too, not just the dog. I foster failed and have now had Momma dog for now amongst 5 years. She is MY LIFE!!!
Can’t say enough about this rescue!!!

I was tagged in a post on FB about a dog that was on the side of the road with a bag of dog food and a bowl for water. I was told she was a lab mix, very skinny, may have recently had pups and had been in the same spot for 2 days waiting for her people to come back.
When I picked her up, she was a lab and pit mix, pregnant, wormy and hungry. She was covered in all kinds of ticks, huge ticks full of blood, dear ticks and she had seed ticks all over her muzzle. This girl was full of milk, so I knew it would be any day. I said to her, "well sweet girl you're gonna be a momma soon, but let's give you a name to go with your sweet face" After a few minutes I thought of Lillie. So Lillie it was.
I posted that I needed a rescue to help. I could foster her but there was no way I could take care of everything this girl needed. Angel with CARE was the first rescue to contact me. Angel got "Lillie" an appt with the vet, gave me a collar and a bag of food. CARE was working on a shoe string budget, most of the money was coming straight out of Angel's pocket. According to the vet "Lillie" was heart worm negative, ready to have pups any day, 2-3 years old, this was about her 3rd litter and about 30 lbs underweight for her size (she was 40# when she came to me, she is a stocky and very healthy 70# now).
During the next week we put weight on her with healthy food. For the life of me I couldn't get her to respond to Lillie at all, but she ALWAYS responded to Momma. So Momma it was. I told Angel that she was fully house broken, crate trained, did not lick or bark, leash trained and just the best girl EVER with children. Momma came into CARE Labor Day weekend 2015 it was Sunday 6th. On Sunday September 13th, she delivered 9 puppies. Healthy, beautiful and she delivered without any help, never a cry or whimper. Angel was so excited to see the pups!
All of the pups found new furever homes. Momma dog? Well, Momma lives with me. I am a foster fail, but who couldn't fall in love with this girl! Angel knew i would the minute she saw Momma. I told Angel the minute I saw Momma, I fell in love with her.
It's been 2 years now and Angel still likes to see the updates on not just Momma, but all of the "kids" that have come through her rescue. Angel is just as caring from the moment she rescues or they come in her rescue as she is until their last breath. She will do anything she can to help these animals..her kids. Angel runs CARE like it's her child, she loves with all of her heart, not just part time, full time and receives no credit, no reward. I watch her posts and see that when 1 leaves, it seems there are 3 more coming in and that I've seen, she's never said no. I know sometimes she might and probably did. Those are the days I see no posts, those are the days I know she is regrouping and comes back fighting harder to raise the money so that no is no longer part of the vocabulary of CARE.
Now Momma dog has Ice cream Saturdays. She knows it's Saturday, how she does it who knows, but she sure knows and will sit by her halter and leash waiting for you to say lets go. She pretty much runs this house and is the apple of my eye. I never thought I could love her this much. She is my life! Without the help of CARE, I couldn't have done this by myself. I owe them so much!!!
