I rescued a dog off the street that I couldn’t keep. I tried every rescue in Oklahoma to try to find a place for him. CARE took him into their training program and found him a home in another state that welcomed Australian Cattle Dogs. He looks extremely happy there.

I rescued a mama dog and 7 puppies they were going to catch and put down. C. A. R. E. answered my email and my cry for help. They worked really hard to help me. I mean really hard. Thanks to this organization, not only did they help me; they found fosters and met me 2 hours away from their facility to pick up mama dog and puppies. She was patient as I kissed all the dogs and cried so hard. I would have kept them all if I could. This organization has contact with others all over the country. They're simpling amazing. Kind and caring, and they know what theyre doing. They saved all 8 lives and helped me in the process. Good job! Thank you C. A. R. E. for everything.

We adopted our pups from CARE Compassionate Animal Rescue. I can’t say enough good things about this group that gives so much of their time and love to the animals they rescue. I had the pleasure to get involved in a couple of fundraisers they hosted this year in order to raise money to help more animals. I hope you will recognize this wonderful rescue organization and all their efforts every day of the year!

In 2020 I was in search of a companion dog and exercise buddy and found Joleen. CARE had a detailed description of her and she loved to hike! Angela came to my apartment to make sure it was safe and even called references. They let me do a trial run before adoption to make sure she was a good fit. They provided food, crate, toys, supplies, heartworm prevention and even vet care. Andrea came to my apartment to help train her not to pull me on hikes. After I adopted her Angela and Andrea checked up on her multiple times. They also have events we can come visit. If something happens to me CARE takes Joleen back so I know she is taken care of. If every rescue did what CARE does the world would be a better place.

I have been a foster for Care Rescue for around 7 years now. I don’t know how they do it, but they truly find matches made in heaven. It never ceases to amaze me how perfectly our fosters transition to their forever families. I am often asked how I can foster or how it doesn’t break my heart when they leave. All I can say is I cry after every adoption, but it is usually happy tears that I saved a life and I get to open my home to another in need ❤️.

My experience with CARE has been nothing less than fantastic. This is a CAREing non profit that is there for animal needs and truly care about whom adopts. They Vet everyone that adopts and makes sure that they are a perfect fit and match, take time to call references, and check out the adopters. They are there for you if you have any questions, they are a wonderful rescue with loving pets to adopt. You won't be sorry if you adopt through their service. Here is our furbaby, Mojo part of the friends litter, with his sister Riplee snuggling up.

CARE is not only a blessing to our family but a blessing to all animals in need. We found our big baby with Angela's gracious help. He's my husband's best friend in the entire world and he brings joy and happiness to us all. Through CARE we were also able to help my mom find her new dog (again do to Ms Angela's help) and oh my goodness she's such a joy and a ball of silliness that just makes my heart so happy. CARE is amazing and I'm so thankful for each member of this incredible group.

We have adopted 3 dogs from CARE. The most recent was just over a year ago. He is a large breed dog that had severe anxiety and fear of people. I fell in love with him immediately, and Angela suggested we foster him to be sure it was a good fit. For 3 months it was an hour by hour decision to keep him. Angela was constantly checking on me and giving me support while not making me feel trapped either. We LOVE this big guy! I still tear up thinking of what horrible things must have happened before he came to our home. He still is shy around people. But for the 4 of us he is out gentle giant, playful boy, and protector. I don’t know many rescues that would have taken him in like CARE did and see the potential. I am so grateful they did and that they supported us in the journey.

CARE is an all breed rescue group that pulls from shelters, takes in strays and medical needs dogs. They also sponsor STAR, a program that pairs a prisoner with a dog. The two bond as a team and work at basic obedience and life skills. This program helps the prisoners as much as, if not more than, the dog. When the program is complete, the dog is available for adoption.

We adopted one of our dogs from CARE rescue. She was the light of our life, The adoption process was thorough, but easy. We would love to adopt from them again. I can't speak enough to the love and dedication CARE has toward animal placement! Not only did they help us find our angel, but they stepped up when an elderly friend of ours needed to rehome her dog. He was an extraordinarily large dog. Though CARE had no fosters for him, they reached out to other rescues and secured him a place. This is the love and dedication they have for all our furry friends! I am so thankful for CARE rescue! I adopted two sweet cats (Horton and Oliver) from them in 2019 and then during the COVID shutdown I decided to foster a dog since I was not working. Angela knew I had the two cats and so she chose a dog that would be okay with that. Her name is Safari and I fell in love with her and adopted her. Best decision I ever made!

CARE was the first rescue group in the Tulsa area to offer a free neighborhood spay/neuter clinic. I was honored to volunteer for this event. The response was overwhelmingly positive. Both the City Council and other rescue groups are interested in continuing this program when Covid-19 guidelines allow. I am ready to volunteer again to help the important cause of reducing pet overpopulation. Thank you CARE for organizing this event and continuing to advocate for responsible pet population policies.

I’ve been following CARE and donating to them for years. Oklahoma has a serious pet overpopulation problem. The reason I like CARE is they actually do hone checks & interviews before they adopt out. They really put an effort in to matching each pet with the perfect person/family. They don’t give up until they find a match.

I’ve been following CARE and supporting them for the past few years. I’m in awe of what they accomplish. They always seem to find a way to help any animal in need and unfortunately the need is large in Oklahoma.

They’re dedicated to matching the perfect owner with every animal they take in and work tirelessly to make this happen.

I follow and support many rescues in the area and CARE has moved to the top of my list as my favorite rescue.

CARE is one of the best rescues out there! We adopted Ashe from them in Sept 2020 and I can tell how much they "care" about the animals they rescue. They make sure that each animal is placed with a family that fits and give you time to decide that for yourself before committing to adoption. I really appreciate the lengths they go to and can tell that they have few returned animals because of this.

Earlier this year when Oklahoma was flooding because of nonstop rain I was looking for help rescuing several dogs who were swimming in floodwaters in their yards. I reached out on a local Facebook group and I was put in touch with Brittany. I explained the situation and within a very short period of time she was in Sperry with a group of friends who had a boat. They/we were able to get in and rescue all but 2 dogs. Those dogs were taken in by CARE and given the medical attention that was needed. The dogs are in safe homes and living much better and happier lives. I'm so grateful.

They go far beyond the call of duty in rescue!! A friend's rescue
cat had gotten stressed when they had to stay temporarily in an acquaintance's home, so he hid in the hot attic. He would not come down from the attic, and noone there fit in the tiny area that goes into the attic. She called animal control, Fire Dept, and everyone else she knew. Noone would come help this poor cat! The cat's cries got so weak, she knew he would not last much longer.. I put out a plea for help for the cat. THE ONLY RESPONSE CAME FROM ANGEL WITH THIS GROUP!! SHE CLIMBED INTO THE ATTIC AND SAVED THE CAT'S LIFE!!! This group truly cares, and shows it in their actions constantly!!!!

I work with CARE because they go the extra mile when placing dogs in adoptive homes. A lot of care is put into making sure the dog is the right fit for the family, but also that the family is the right fit for the dog. When a potential match is made (or someone falls in love with a photo and story online), CARE provides full support to the families whether they adopt outright or choose foster-to-adopt. The foster-to-adopt option is a fantastic no-pressure option to make sure the dog and family are a good fit. Support is always available to fosters and adopters regardless of how long they've had their CARE dog. When behavioral issues arise CARE will work with the family via coaching and trainers to make every effort to keep the family together.

I got a call to go get a dog, called the rescue and they took her right in. I fostered the dog and then foster failed her. Nine puppies came after a week of having her. They made sure she had food, a crate and the babies were all taken care of, along with phone calls to check on me too, not just the dog. I foster failed and have now had Momma dog for now amongst 5 years. She is MY LIFE!!!

I was tagged in a post on FB about a dog that was on the side of the road with a bag of dog food and a bowl for water. I was told she was a lab mix, very skinny, may have recently had pups and had been in the same spot for 2 days waiting for her people to come back.

When I picked her up, she was a lab and pit mix, pregnant, wormy and hungry. She was covered in all kinds of ticks, huge ticks full of blood, dear ticks and she had seed ticks all over her muzzle. This girl was full of milk, so I knew it would be any day. I said to her, "well sweet girl you're gonna be a momma soon, but let's give you a name to go with your sweet face" After a few minutes I thought of Lillie. So Lillie it was.

I posted that I needed a rescue to help. I could foster her but there was no way I could take care of everything this girl needed. Angel with CARE was the first rescue to contact me. Angel got "Lillie" an appt with the vet, gave me a collar and a bag of food. CARE was working on a shoe string budget, most of the money was coming straight out of Angel's pocket. According to the vet "Lillie" was heart worm negative, ready to have pups any day, 2-3 years old, this was about her 3rd litter and about 30 lbs underweight for her size (she was 40# when she came to me, she is a stocky and very healthy 70# now).

During the next week we put weight on her with healthy food. For the life of me I couldn't get her to respond to Lillie at all, but she ALWAYS responded to Momma. So Momma it was. I told Angel that she was fully house broken, crate trained, did not lick or bark, leash trained and just the best girl EVER with children. Momma came into CARE Labor Day weekend 2015 it was Sunday 6th. On Sunday September 13th, she delivered 9 puppies. Healthy, beautiful and she delivered without any help, never a cry or whimper. Angel was so excited to see the pups!

All of the pups found new furever homes. Momma dog? Well, Momma lives with me. I am a foster fail, but who couldn't fall in love with this girl! Angel knew i would the minute she saw Momma. I told Angel the minute I saw Momma, I fell in love with her.

It's been 2 years now and Angel still likes to see the updates on not just Momma, but all of the "kids" that have come through her rescue. Angel is just as caring from the moment she rescues or they come in her rescue as she is until their last breath. She will do anything she can to help these animals..her kids. Angel runs CARE like it's her child, she loves with all of her heart, not just part time, full time and receives no credit, no reward. I watch her posts and see that when 1 leaves, it seems there are 3 more coming in and that I've seen, she's never said no. I know sometimes she might and probably did. Those are the days I see no posts, those are the days I know she is regrouping and comes back fighting harder to raise the money so that no is no longer part of the vocabulary of CARE.

Now Momma dog has Ice cream Saturdays. She knows it's Saturday, how she does it who knows, but she sure knows and will sit by her halter and leash waiting for you to say lets go. She pretty much runs this house and is the apple of my eye. I never thought I could love her this much. She is my life! Without the help of CARE, I couldn't have done this by myself. I owe them so much!!!

One day just before Christmas a couple of years ago, I saw a Facebook post from a local animal rescue group I'd never heard of, C.A.R.E. They were looking for fosters for dogs about to be euthanized by a municipal animal shelter. The dogs were poor harmless victims of Oklahoma's scandalous pet overpopulation problem, and I just couldn't stand to see them all put down a few days before Christmas, so I messaged C.A.R.E. and offered to temporarily foster one.
They quickly responded with an application to foster and more information about the last dog for which they needed a home. She was a young female pitbull mix who had demodectic mange and was being ignored by potential adopters.
I also discovered that although C.A.R.E. was located in Catoosa OK, this poor dog was all the way over in the Enid OK animal shelter. The folks who run C.A.R.E. were going to put in a couple of hundred-mile-plus drives two days before Christmas just to save a dog far outside their city.
When they delivered the new foster to me, they brought everything. Food, a toy or two, a crate (which we didn't need as we had a spare). They inspected the area where we would be keeping her. They set up vet care for the poor pup right away with an excellent local vet. They paid for her meds and shots. They resupplied us with food when we needed it. They communicated with us quickly and often. Then they sent this poor lively girl pup - who just needed attention and love to bloom - to an intensive inmate training course they had set up at a local minimum-security corrections facility. They handled all transport for this.
That pup is now a showcase animal for local rescue efforts: adopted into a loving family, a certified Canine Good Citizen, and featured in local media as an example of what rescue efforts can do.
http://www.tulsapeople.com/Tulsa-People/November-2018/How-This-Stray-Dog-Found-a-Happy-Home/
I have seen C.A.R.E. pull some of the worst cases from local shelters that are overwhelmed and place the dogs with fosters when other rescues couldn't find a temporary home for them. They help wounded animals who have no other financial source for vet care. And of course they hold events where these now-lucky animals are then adopted into permanent homes.
C.A.R.E. is a first-class rescue group. We're very lucky to have these folks working on our terrible animal welfare problem in the Tulsa area, and in the State of Oklahoma.

Angel and Angie are the best. I feel so confident adopting for them as I know their animals are well taken care of. And when we lost one of our pets they were so helpful and supportive also. I can’t wait to adopt with them again and hopefully foster for them in the future.

Care. Is a wonderful organization they reacted very quickly when I wanted to get some info about a puppy I had seen on there website. Angela called me within the hour. I had lost my black lab of 13 years. I was so heartbroken. Angela brought this puppy to my house. He made me smile and laugh again . I named him sunshine because he was. I call him Sunny

This group of people are truly angels among us. They work tirelessly to help those with no voice. Contacted them in a desperate situation. They didn't give up. They didn't refer us out. They didn't ignore our need for help. Lastly they didn't judge. They simply wanted to do what's best for the animal. These people went and worked a full day at their job that pays their bills to go and volunteer for something on their own time. No gas reimbursement. Missing out on spending time with their own families. Not an easy path they've chosen yet still they push forward. Highly recommend them. May they always be blessed while they continue to bless others and our 4 legged friends.

CARE is an amazing group of people. The first letter "C" for compassionate could not be more true of them. They go above and beyond to help every animal they can. And they are now part of a prison program helping dogs to become trained and then adopted out, which is really great. Definitely a 5 star rescue!

I have been involved in animal rescue all my life but have never seen a group as dedicated as CARE. They are always responsive to messages and they go above and beyond to help the animals in need. And there are so so many. They support other rescues and work tirelessly to find much needed fosters. We are so lucky to have them in our area.

CARE is the best rescue ever. Every animal they take in is given the love, care and medical needs they might need. CARE is also very meticulous when it comes to adopting out their animals, they always want to make sure their animals is going to the best forever home. CARE is such a wonderful rescue!

Had it not been for CARE, we never would have found our sweet Maple. CARE pulled her along with three of her siblings from the Enid animal shelter and got them into a foster home in Tulsa. We got to meet all four puppies, submitted an application the next day, CARE checked our vet reference, did a home check, and within four days Maple came to stay with us... and now here we are living happily ever after together!
